It’s one of the great crimes of all of gymnastics that Yang Bo never won a major title on beam. She encapsulated everything that was great about the sport. Super difficulty, absolutely impeccable form, creativity and fluidity. No one in my mind before or since could work beam quite like her
She did stick dismounts numerous times. I'm not sure if the dismounts I saw were this one or others but she landed them flawlessly, just as she performed her other skills...and she was being scored 9.875 and above. Maybe it had to do with the COP.
