Well, it's nice, and it's interesting, but I wonder what the purpose is. I understand and agree with the need for short forms, but why these particular forms in this particular order? Only one Repulse Monkey (just on one side) and same with several other moves. It doesn't necessarily look easier for seniors, easier to learn, or impressive for demonstration. Not sure it emphasizes the most important moves. I also wonder about the spinning Cloud Hands, which I think is kind of cool; it's in the Essential Form too. But why?
Humberto, Yang Jun just wanted to create a new form. Probably when he is much older like..20 years later, his new creation would be more impressive. You are correct. The spinning cloud hands are actually DANGEROUS for seniors. Some will get dizzy for sure! This new form unimpressive. Maybe the performer lack patience n inner quality. I feel empty watching her performance. Nevertheless, good enough for seniors to learn. Namaste.
Interesting. Even if it isn't dangerous, Cloud Hands is moderately difficult for beginners without adding the spinning to it, and it also is a very valuable practice for internal strength and sensitivity; the spinning makes it difficult to focus on that, to put it mildly. I like it for myself, as a novelty, but I wonder what the point of it is supposed to be.@@peacebe2u480
