Just to clear up something that you guys seem a little confused on(Spoiler free, of course) Yang's power, or Semblance as it has been called in the show, isn't limitless. Semblances are tied to the characters Aura which if you remember from Volume 1, it's that invisible shield that stops attacks from doing fatal damage to someone. Remember Jaune sparring against Carden in class, and Glynda stopping it before Jaune's Aura broke? If their Aura breaks, they can't use their Semblances. So for Yang, her Semblance makes her stronger when she gets hit, but those hits still cause her to lose some Aura each time, and if that runs out she won't be able to get stronger from future blows during the fight. The same goes for most characters, so for example Ruby would lose her super speed, Weiss would lose her glyphs, Pyrrha wouldn't be able to control magnetism, and so on. I know this was a bit lengthy, but hope this helps!

Somehow I never noticed before how tall Neptune is. Small bit of trivia: Ruby's line where she explains how Yang's semblance works was originally meant to be spoken to Sun instead of Blake, but the scene was changed to remove Sun from the fight early because his complicated weapon caused too many animation issues. It's a bit of a plot hole because you'd think Blake would know her teammate's semblance.

Neo, which is short for neopolitan, is my favorite and i can't wait for you to see more of her.

Loving the amount of theories going on about everyone hahaha. And Roman definitely is a great escape artist. As a self-proclaimed criminal mastermind, he needs to be able to get out of sticky situations. Though he definitely is a formidable fighter in his own right - a lot of reactors seem to think he's weak, but he just tends to know when he's beat, and has a plan to run away from fights where he gets outnumbered or surprised by other uncertain events (like Penny showing up in the last volume's finale)

- When Ruby knocked over that big pile of crates to delay the soldiers after her and Penny, the boxes are all labelled 'Breakable Things' 😄 - The soldier didn't 'catch' the car, you can hear brakes screeching just before hand. - yeah, the teams' new outfits are nice, but unfortunately, after these 2 eps, we never see these outfits again.😋 (though there are other outfit changes in later episodes/volumes) - Dust types can be combined artificially, much like how steel doesn't occur naturally, but can be created artificially. - Androids are nothing new on Remnant (we've seen them since the Black trailer). Penny is different in that she's much less restricted mentally than existing types. - mystery girl with Torchwick is named Neopolitan (or Neo for short), and her colour scheme matches the ice cream (white, brown, and pink) - Junior's men never came back because they got clobbered by Ruby in episode 1😆 - Sun's character inspiration is Hanuman the Monkey King of Asian myth (better known as Son Goku,) and one of the myth's abilities was to make copies of himself. So Sun's semblance lets him do that. Naruto's shadow clones and Goku from Dragonball are both inspired by the legend. -Weiss's sword can hold up to 6 types of dust, and being a Schnee, she can afford some of the more powerful/expensive types (though she still uses such sparingly). in this case, she dosed Blake with some time dust, giving her superspeed for a short time. (or at least that's how I've always interpreted that scene) - The old guy is a running gag. - Yang's semblance lets her take hits and power up, but she's still taking the hits. she's not invulnerable.

Please notice that when Roman and Neo got "hit" by Yang, a glass sound, like that of a mirror breaking, was heard, and their image shattered like glass. Meanwhile the two were already in the Bullhead (airship) and flying away when the punch landed. Semblances like Ruby's speed, Yang's ...counterstrike(? not sure of the name) or Phyrria's Polarity, all are fueled by aura. If they use too much (like Yang getting hit too often, or Ruby going too fast while holding someone) they will run out. Like a mana bar in an rpg. So yes, Yang has an amazing power... but the extra damage is powered by her shield, and to charge it up, she has to get hit (lowering her shield even more). She's burning the candle at both ends. Penny said she is the FIRST artificial being capable of generating an aura. That means she is a prototype. Also, aura is IMPORTANT. It doesn't just defend you, it powers up your weapons. A dozen robots without an aura are weaker then one trained Huntsman. Penny is the attempt to fuse the benefits of an AI, with the defensive and offensive capabilities of a Huntsman. That's why she's going through the tournament, why no one is sure if she's ready: no robot has ever been able to handle this level of combat before. As a side note....aura is linked to the soul... meaning Penny isn't just a robot, she is a person, with all that that entails.

So those combo names that ruby kept saying, those are the ship names the community made for those characters back during the Vol 1 days, it's a cute little nod back to the community. I love watching yall actively try to figure the story out. This isn't like other shows where they invent new problems each season, they had alot of the story planned from the very beginning, all of this is foreshadowing, and its awesome to see you picking up each and every one of the pieces in these early episodes. Its alot, to be sure, but before long, a clearer picture will start to form, and the true shape of whats happening in this world will reveal itself. For most of us, we had to wait a week between episodes, and a year between seasons, yall have the benefit of watching these back-to-back, and that helps make this crazy story move forward at a breakneck pace. You'll learn the truth before long...and the truth, is only the beginning. Looking forward to more from you guys.

Penny is my favorite when it comes to translating from fairytale to show. Her weapons are controlled by strings like a puppet, instead of a puppet with a soul she's a robot with a soul, and she has a tell for when she lies. Hiccups. There are a few more things but I will save them for later.

Not to worry, thus far the only thing we'd know about Weiss's sister is that Weiss (likely) has at least one sibling judging by her quote of "I've always wanted bunk beds as a kid." So confirmation of her having a sister, yay!

An important difference between Penny and the rest of Atlas technology is having an Aura which in remnant means she has a soul.

The soldiers are just normal humans lol 😂 and also don't you heard the car brakes sound? And about the oldman, you could think of him as the "Marvel's Stan-Lee" of this series. As for Sun-Wukong, the body duplication was taken straight from the Chinese mythology character named SunWukong aka the monkey king that has body duplication ability based on "Journey to the west" in 16th Century during Ming Dynasty. Not Naruto. You could search that up. It is very popular. Fun Fact : Character Son-goku in Dragon Ball (1984) was also inspired from legendary Chinese Sun Wukong (the monkey king) While also, Son-goku is Japanese name version of Sun Wukong in the 1978 Japan tv drama show titled Saiyuuki /Journey to the west (1978-2004) (it was not anime but real peoples tv series and it is also about Buddhism and the monkey king's journey).

Wanted to mention this, the RWBY girls are actually in a game called BlazBlue Crosstag Battle which is a fighting game

Yang, I Burn - "Kick my ass? I'm world-class And Super Saiyan now" In the soundtrack video nothing was said about this line and I was like well that'll be a surprise reveal later

They never really explain it, but Neo's semblance is called Overactive Imagination. She can make a physical illusion that is easily broken. This also means she can make it look like she is gone, but in reality she is running away. A lot of people thought she could teleport, and that always annoyed me. Yang's Semblance lets her absorb any blunt force that hits her aura, and lets her send it back along with her own force. This means her semblance only works as long as she has aura, but she still feels the hit.

So...everytime Chase sais "so Sky" i just hear "suscribe"

While we have super strength semblance type stuff, that soldier didn't stop the car on his own... The car driver was doing an emergency brake after the dude jumped out in front, then the guy put out his arms more as you would if something was coming at you as a reflex kinda thing... Something like that anyway... If the car didn't stop, it'd be more like when Penny stopped the other van. Also, I'm not sure if the hiccupping was programmed... If it was, the soldiers don't seem to know about it or they'd call it out, I would think.

most of what we've seen the old guy doing so far has been around the shop from dust till dawn which I'd assume is/was his store maybe after everything he went through (robbed, pick pocketed and delivery truck smashed) maybe he decided to turn to the noodle stand for work

The Dust that Weiss used on Blake altered the flow of time and her perception

So as a note dust with guns is like energy cells in energy weapons. Guns dont need to reload till they run dry. (Ports blunderbuss axe is an example of gun design that doesnt make sense till you know that). Weiss's weapon is special since she can change it on the fly with the revolver cartridge and use any element whenever. PS: nice catch on the pinocio part. There is many characters with refrences like that but saying who each are is spoilers so ill let you figure it out

Slight correction/clarification on Dust, the video was saying that Dust can woven into already existing clothing, not that clothing could be made from only Dust.

I do commend you guys!!! You both did hit on several things and moments these two volumes. And I can tell you that you are on the right track of a couple of theories..... But, not all of them!!! You guys misunderstand Yang's semblence. Every hit makes her stronger, yeah, but it's like building up of energy to release later, AND Yang still receives damage. The damage just builds up a power-up counterattack.

the reason that ironwood only had a hologram of the paladin to show at his demonstration was because roman's employer most likely cinder stole all the paladin he was planing to bring to beacon.

Guys, there are so many things you guessed at that are right and just as many that are wrong. My advice is to pay attention to things that are said, as well as what is shown. Also pay attention to the "Fairytales" that get mentioned. Some of those are important.

So Aura does have a limit. In Volume 1 Chapter 11 we saw a bar of Aura energy, so it does run out. And without an Aura you can't use your Semblance.

Human soldiers run for Penny. Altas has human soldiers and androids.

Son and Neptune were supposed to take part of the latter fight. However Son's weapon kept breaking their animation software so... Yeah. It's why there was explanation of how Yang's semblance works to Weiss, who should know by now with how good their teamwork is. On another note Yang's defense doesn't improve, only offense. So it's a double edged sword, you need to get hit to punch harder... So what happens when you get punched too hard so that you can't get back up to punch back?

Shopkeep has a semblance that let's him be in multiple places at once.

yangs weakness is also her strength. semblance comes from aura, no aura no semblance. so she can only take as many hits as her aura can take.

The new outfits were just a one-off. they were never used again after this scene. It was their "detective-ish" outfits since they were investigating the Torchwick situation with the White Fang. They eventually go back to their old outfits til the end of V3. every 3 volumes there is an outfit change. So the next outfit change will be in V4 and then another in V7. V9 just ended and if we get a V10, there will be another outfit change since Team RWBY is now in Vacuo.

After this, you REALLY NNED to watch Queendom. It explains SO much about Wiess and her family/mental state and why she us the way she is. I hope we get something like it for Blake and Yang too; but not Ruby, we got an entire series for that.

Yang is fairly powerful... but she does have limits. Yeah... she transfers the damage she takes to increase her physical strength... but she still takes the damage. Absorbing the damage from the hit as well as using her semblance to gain strength from it still drains her aura. If it's a big enough hit... she will have little to no aura left to survive another. And, pretty much like everyone else... if the hit is big enough to overwhelm her aura... she's going down.

The people close to oz pin are wizard of oz characters so later you will see one based off of the lion and scarecrow
