It is BYD U8 capability that propels Chinese EV to a new frontier that no ICE has been able to reach. The IP68 water resistance can be easily achieved by BYD as a EV has no air intake for combustion so BYD U8 can be submerged deeper in water without the risk of having the combustion chamber flooded. The other game changer feature that a ICE car can never surpass is the same spot 360 degree turn. BYD simply reverses the polarity of its DC motors on one side of the car and the car will rotate at the same position. To achieve it with an ICE car using mechanical components is simply not viable economically. BYD engineers deserve huge respect for bringing these two major game changing features out.
@@walden6272 go look up on this site. There are plenty of videos. These land cruisers can even go through deep fast moving rivers rather than a static lake. I mean North Korea's Kim Jong Un literally went through flood with Lexus LX600 just recently where the water level was above the tire and it went through it like nothing
@@justme6275 have u heard the phrase an eye for an eye, an ear for an ear? China has huge tariffs on imported cars and force foreign automaker into partnerships, joint venture and local production. When China starts producing and exporting cars to those countries, you expect it to go barrier and restriction free? Only China gets a one-free-way? What a naive thinking. China got the trade war and trade restriction it deserved. If china doesn't like it, either drop the tariffs on foreign cars or go do partnership, joint venture and local production like it forced on foreign cars.
