Your videos are some of the most relaxing and enjoyable I've seen on RU-vid. Thanks for providing a nice break from all the politics and angst!

The post-holiday blues are upon me so I am looking through past online content for positivity! This is one positive video!!!!! Linus in the Pumpkin Patch. You may have to find a way to do a night time pumpkin patch video with the moon in the background. Thanks, Linus! ;-) B

Autumn Woods is the best YC ever. It reminds of a place I have never been, but dream of seeing and smelling one day...the autumn of New England.

Hi This is a fragrance we can get here in the UK but you described it stunningly. I love Yankee candles and even though they are not as good performing as they used to be and due to the lack of alternatives here in the UK they are the main brand of wax I melt or burn. A lot of my favourite fragrances from Yankee are Autumn/Fall related and some are even retired either here or in the US. 1. Yankee candle SH Fall Glory - I love this fragrance, it's ripe Autumn fruits and it reminds me when I was a kid of going fruit picking witty my grand parents. Pears, apples, plums and dark fruits It also has a warmth that come through the candle that reminds me of those early autumn days with cool morning and warms days we have here. 2. Amber Moon this fragrance is Amber, sandalwood and patchouli but it is such a stunning fragrance. Again that lovely warmth from the Amber with the exotic scent of Sandalwood give an almost oriental feel then the patchouli adds an earthiness that makes the fragrance truly stunning. It's retired now here but is one of my favourite fragrances ever and for all the big bold notes it's quite subtle in the way it carries but it can still fill a room but don't expect it to blow you away. 3. Farmers market, to me smells like going to a farmers market in the beginning of September, the peach, crisp green apple and summer fruits are mixed with cinnamon and a hint of clove to give a feel of Autumn is here so get ready. 4. November Rain, this is my 9 year old daughters first ever YC fragrance she picked. She picked it due to her birthday being in November but it's a great fragrance. It's rustic with a water note that is distinctly Rain and not nautical. Added to the Amber and the wood notes that give it warmth. There is also a greenness from leaves and a sharp citrus that brings it together. It smells little like a popular car air freshener from a good few years ago called Feu Orange and smelt awesome. We don't get many pumpkin fragrances here in the UK which is a shame but that's just the way it is. Joff

Joff Hall ... A+ 🍎 amazingly said!! I have to say, excellent job. Thank you so much for sharing! Im very familiar with November Rain and Farmers Market (and your descriptors are spot on), but I've had no exposure to the others, but now I'm certainly very curious 😉. So cool that your daughter's first YC scent was November Rain. When I was 9, I would have picked something that smelled like bubblegum 😂. And I feel your pain with the whole Yankee Candle/international thing. I wish there was a solution. In the US a lot of small candle producers can't even afford to ship from one coast to the other, which can lead to the death of their small company. It's a shame. I can't say enough, thanks for sharing. I hope others read your comment too.

At the moment my favorite candle scent is Yankee Spiced Pumpkin or Autumn Dusk....I think it is the clove note in these two that makes me feel warm and cozy..

i loved the views, loved the music, love charlie brown, and definitely love pumpkins ! i have just been getting into yankee candles, but in terms of bath and body works, i love the candle "autumn". "autumn" reminds me of a crisp morning on my college campus, whilst juggling my cup of coffee and books and running to class (almost late...as usual).

Chihiro Miyazaki ... I love it! Great association/story. I too find that memories during those college years are triggered when smelling certain "morning-ish" scents. Maybe it's because of all of those early courses. Thanks for sharing, and for watching!!😁👍🏻

Great video! My favorite fall candle bar none was Yankee spiced apple. Every year I hope it comes back, and if and when it ever does I'll buy as many as I can get my hands on. I have a pumpkin wreath candle that I'll be burning as soon as I get through my second favorite, spiced pumpkin. I'm anxious to try it. And I'm with you on the Charlie Brown special too. I'm old enough to have watched it from its first time on air,and I can honestly say I don't think I've missed one year of it. Will be watching for your Christmas scents videos too. I hope Yankee is aware of your channel!

Sandy Okey ... Hi Sandy! I hope you find your Spiced Apple. I know how important these long lost candles can be. Until then, enjoy Spiced Pumpkin 😁. Oh and I'm so glad to hear that you're a dedicated Peanuts/Great Pumpkin fan as well. I hope you're having a lovely autumn season. Thanks for watching and for sharing ! 😊🍂❤️🕯

I'm a bit late to this video, but I just broke out my PW (this *is* my favorite Fall candle!) and always enjoy listening to reviews while I burn. I have a bit of a hard time doing justice in my description of this one because it's so gorgeously complex, but my gosh, you NAILED IT with Cap'n Crunch! That's the note that's always tripped me up in the past. I feel like a weight has been lifted, haha.

😊 another amazing, creative video, you were right haha love it and to answer that question at the end: yankee's pure radiance candle in pumpkin... its just the perfect fall candle. Reminds me of the baking me and my younger sister did growing up and its the perfect mesh of bakery and spices for me 🍁🍂

Ruffles2012 ... Ahh, that sounds great! Awesome association, too! It's amazing how the "kitchen" is responsible for so many special memories throughout our lives. Thank you for sharing!! Hope you burn the Pure Radiance Pumpkin while you bake this holiday season. Recently while helping my parents clean their house, I discovered a canister containing decades old gingerbread cookie-cutters, McCormick spice jars and solidified colored icing tubes. An overwhelming chill of happiness ran through my bones. I remembered each and every content in that canister.... and the smell... well, let me put it this way; for a brief moment, I got the chance to be a child again.

yes!!! I have been waiting for another video from your channel! your editing is so awesome by the way. and to answer your question, I have actually never burned a Yankee Candle before. when I am burning at home, due to our very open, rather large floor plan with 20 foot ceilings, I literally need to burn 3 Bath and body Works candles at a time and will often also have my 3 wax burners going in order to fill our home. so I have always stayed away from Yankees because I have heard they are not as strong as bbw. but..... I can tell you my favorite fall bbw candle and that is Leaves. its very strong and smells like apples, spices, and all things fall. I have an obsession with it!

I wanted to ask you, I notice you usually do most of your candle smelling through the fragrance you get from the lid. I am so curious to know why because I am sure there is a reason and I love learning about all things candles! your channel is amazingly educational. you should teach classes. (actually I feel like that is what your channel is, a super fun elective 😉)
@TheCandleEnthusiast
@TheCandleEnthusiast 7 лет назад
Rebekah Johnson ... Oh man... 20 foot ceilings. That sounds absolutely beautiful, but you're right, it must be hard to keep the aromatics close to the floor. There are things you can do to help this problem though (and I would love to do a video on it sometime). Research "Natural Convection Current". To simplify: you can create natural airflow in your living space by utilizing both hot and cool air. What this will do is continually pull down the scent from the ceiling, instead of staying static at 20ft.🤓 It's funny, you know little about Yankee Candle and I know little about Bath and Body. Trust me, I'm taking notes on all of your BBW suggestions 😁. I'll put Leaves on my list. I had a small break from posting because I was out filming like a madman. Lots of vids to edit and post this week 🕯

Rebekah Johnson ... ☺️ Thanks so much! So, smelling both the lid and the wax is very useful. However, smelling the lid is always going to give a more accurate representation of how the candle will perform once lit. It's a similar principle when testing perfume of cologne; you always put in in your skin to test, not smell out of the bottle. Residue from the fragrance oil clings to the glass lid. This will smell similar to the airborne fragrance when burning or melting. Although useful, smelling the body of the candle usually is far too intense (like putting your ear right up on a speaker or megaphone). With that sort of intensity, aroma notes will certainly get distorted. So why is it useful? Smelling the body reveals secrets; it helps you determine what fragrance oils they put in the candle. Hope this helped a little. As always, thanks for your continued support!!!😁

The Candle Enthusiast oh wow! thank you so much for both answers! I really appreciate it! and both make complete sense. I will look up the air flow concept, and from now on start smelling the lids when picking out candles! so so interesting! extremely excited to see for your next video posts!!! thank you again for your time!

I am not sure if I agree with your description of this candle, but it is one of my fall favorites. While most of Yankee Fall Candles are more baking and fruit type scents, this on is much more complex and earthy. I get very strong notes of pumpkin and wood with undertones of spice.

Nuts About Candles ... Thanks so much for sharing and for stating how you perceive this candle differently. This is the kind of feedback and dialogue I want 👍🏻. I appreciate it. Although, based on your description, it sounds like we're describing the same candle 😉. Hope you're having a lovely autumn season. And thanks for your continued support 😁🍂🕯✌🏻️

So glad to see a vid from you again! Did not expect it to start out that way tho... Lol "I don't know what the hell I'm sayin here!" 😀 You did a great job of describing the varied components in this fragrance, imo, too! My fave fall candles: I went to film school at MSU, in the heart of the Rockies (briefly, b4 I went back to L.A.). YCs Autumn Lodge has that wonderful combo of smells - fireside, sweet tobacco, some wood notes - that always transports me to a cabin/outdoorsy place in the crisp fall air you find in the mountains. Also love Harvest, which is just a yummy, unexpected concoction of fruits/pumpkin, spices, vanilla & soft musk that I could enjoy almost year-round. Thanks for repeatedly asking for the viewers "takes" on your choices... not a lot of people do that, & it's more inclusive-feeling? And The Great Pumpkin is my fave too, along w/the "Christmas Peanuts special" & the original Rudolph. Happy to see you're not missing the changing leaves too! ;-) Take care!🍁🍂🎃

BellBook &Candle ... 😁 - I'm very familiar with Harvest, but I have to admit, I've never burned Autumn Lodge. I loved the way you described it and I can tell that your association and story come from a very nostalgic and personal place ❤️. Thanks for sharing! I'm going to purchase Autumn Lodge now. You sold me on it 😉. Nope, didn't miss the foliage. I'm currently making laps around New England. I will be posting a slew of videos this week... From one fellow film student to another, I hope you're having a lovely autumn season 🕯🍂✌🏻️☺️

I remember your Harvest review. Should have added in my "ode" that w/all those varied components, it could have easily gone off the rails; but it's beautifully executed, as you mentioned. ;-) Btw, I got a notice you'd replied on a question (abt YCs Fireside) that I'd asked on Nuts About Candles recent video: but when I went to the video, I couldn't find your comment? Weird... If you can get your hands on Fireside, I think you'd find it interesting. I really liked it; but it's too smoky for some. Sorry to be so long-winded, but I don't think I can send a private YT message from my mobile.😒 Thx again, & looking forward to your next adventure!🎬🎥

BellBook &Candle ... 😂 yeah, I did leave a message, but erased it. I thought I may have seen Fireside at the Woodbury Commons outlet. I thought again, and realized I had seen it at an outlet in Northern California. That doesn't help either one of us, especially since I'm not sure if it was Fireside. I've never burned it, but I'm pretty sure I spent a lot of time with my nose in the jar a few years ago. I'll keep my eyes open for both of us. Editing editing editing. I'm trying to decide how I want to post these vids; in a big special, in smaller pieces or both. Either way, I'll be posting tomorrow evening. Talk about long winded 😁

Well, my fall favorite YC would be Spiced Pumpkin and Pumpkin Wreath, they capture crisp fall mornings and with a good spiced pumpkin muffin or donuts winding down to a Amber sunset with a cool evening breeze blowing in the woody notes from a pumpkin patch. No specific memory, just a feeling of fall enveloping me, preparing me for the upcoming holidays. Loved this video, I love pumpkins. 🎃🎃🎃

Diane Reiser ... Diane, so beautifully put. Thanks so much for sharing! Quick question: do you ever burn Pumpkin Wreath and Spiced Pumpkin together? If so, how was the experience? So happy you enjoyed this video. I hope you're getting your fill of Pumpkin this autumn season 😁🎃🍂. As always, thanks for watching!
