Saturday August 26 was the 2017 Yankee Candle Halloween Preview Event and here is what I scored! Part of my haul was actually on-line only as well.

The jar holder is absolute badassery and I love it. I got it and some candles at the event. Admittedly I put haunted hollow down but I think I'll go back for it. I was looking for more familiar or cozy smells bc it was right before the hurricane so I was in that mood. Yankee has great stuff this year!

Hey Kathie, I see you mention the hurricane. If you were in the path or around it, I hope all is well with you and your family! I don't blame you for putting HH back if you wanted something cozy, as that's about the last descriptor I'd ever use for it. However, once some decent sales start up I'd recommend grabbing it if you have any interest as there is a decent chance it could be one and done for it this year. Thank you for watching, -Doug

We're about 2.5 hours from Houston so we were fine. Got less rain than expected and other than trees down, no real damage. We lucked out big.

Hey Anthony, yeah getting the black pumpkin set takes some of the edge off being annoying I couldn't get the Jack tart burner. Really annoyed it wasn't available in the US. Oh well. Your top 10 fall video was great yesterday! Thanks for watching -Doug

Haunted Hollow! 👍🏻 Love it! Collectively, we'll never ALL like the same fragrances, but that doesn't mean that the candle industry should play it safe 100% of the time. Even if I was repulsed by this candle's smell, I'd still give a hand to Yankee for pushing the envelope, being bold and trying new things. Deeply complex, encapsulating.... a candle that has something to say. Thanks for sharing your passion! Great vid!

Hey, thanks for watching Shane. Hopefully your trip isn't killing you! As far as Haunted Hollow, I do really appreciate them taking a swing at a good Halloween candle. Whether they hit the ball or missed is subjective, but I'd take that any day over going the Bath & Body Works route of just rehashing PUMPKIN-THIS, PUMPKIN-THAT (all with no pumpkin, ironically enough) and calling that a Halloween candle. That said, I know it's got a lot more limited appeal so just to be safe I'm stocking up in case it does not come back. I'm looking forward to burning this as I decorate my house, and the subsequent video to come. On the whole I'm very happy with the collection this year! Take care

I love watching your videos! I'm jealous we don't get as much of this amazing Halloween stuff in the UK! I'm definitely going to have to come over to America during the Autumn and get a tonne of stuff to take back with me!

I don't buy candles because my child has asthma. But I went to YC after this video. I had to go check it out after you said it was a haunted house in a jar. I finally got to burn it today while my child was at school. I really love it. I just wish YC would have have offered it in wax melts too.

I'm pretty sure they sell it in melt cups this year. Have you tried that? Hopefully that would be a good solution for you!

This was great! I am still trying to decide what form to get the Haunted Hollow scent in. I hear the tumbler is light but I want to try the scent. It sounds great! Witches Brew is another one I am waiting for reviews. I like both the tumbler and jar. I guess I may need both. lol I have Sweet Seduction coming here shortly. I just smelled this in the catalog and I hope the candle is as good. I don't do much for Halloween but I am sure tempted to get some of the accessories. They are beautiful.-Ann

I'd recommend the melt cup if you aren't sure about it. I'm going to stock up on a few of pillars once some better sales start. I'm shocked you've never tried Witches Brew! Thanks for watching, -Doug

Michelle, those side witches actually came from a small craft store and were gifts from my mom several years ago. I use them to show me where the edge of the recording screen is!

What a great haul! My sister and I ordered a few of the Boney Bunch pieces to add to our collection and a few of the new Fall scents in the tarts. Do you collect the Boney Bunch?

Hey-a Casey, thanks for watching. I meant to say this in the video but I forgot- no, I don't collect the Boney Bunch. While a few of the older pieces are pretty cool, they really aren't my thing. I was going to get the Death By Chocolate for my kitchen (my wife loves baking cakes) but it was sold out when I went back the next day to pick it up. The new Boney pieces were gigantic!

Yes, the Death by Chocolate was very popular. I follow a girl on FB that is a huge Boney Bunch fan, and she posted a few days ago that there would be a restock on September 5th.....so maybe you can get that piece after all!

Hey Austin, Yankee is doing their Halloween release on Saturday August 25! Sweet Seduction and Witches Brew are the two scents that will be available.
