One thing that Yankee Candle really hits the nail on the head with is definitely nostalgia. There are so many fragrances that I can smell them 10 years later and instantly bring back those memories. I agree they had a collection for that featured natures, paintbrush, and vanilla satin and pumpkin buttercream. Do you ever have a collection that you just know everything is perfect. If I could have those three candles again, I would definitely put a smile on my face and makes me miss the old Yankee. 😢
I still enjoy Yankee candles, and they always have great sales going on! Still burn their one wicks, sometimes I dont want a strong candle, and you can burn them for awhile, I like their two wicks also, great haul, enjoy youre candles! 😊
I still love going to Yankee Candle. When my daughters were little, I’d treat them for “good mall behavior” with a YC votive of their choice, and if we loved it , I’d buy the large on the next sale. 3 older brothers started enjoying the house smelling good, so I never felt guilty about my growing collection. I’m often greeted by Conner Loves Candles , ( he works there), at my nearby store, which is a treat!
Oh how fun! I’d go into Yankee all the time if Connor worked at my store just to chat with him. He’s such a nice guy! My mom used to buy the votives & melt them in a mini crockpot way back in the day. 😂
Great choices! I also ordered Vanilla Lime and stocked up on my all time favorite Cotton Candy. Never want to be without that one! Buttercream and Spiced Pumpkin together are fantastic in the fall.
Love your Yankee haul 🤗. Yankee does Fall fragrances so well! I purchased a lot of Fall Candles back in February along with some great Spring & Summer scents. Absolutely love the way Yankee blends majority of their fragrances.

Hi Katie, I really enjoyed this video. Brings back so many good memories. I absolutely love vanilla lime. I have a cherry lemonade in my candle stash but have never burned the fragrance. I remember the Belgian waffle candle and was working at Yankee when it was launched. After working for Yankee as a sales associate for 13 years, I learned so much about home fragrance and candles over the years. I have quite the stash!!! I have branched out to BBW and other candle brands in recent years. I always felt that Yankee did a fabulous job on apple fragrances! My experience has been that soy candles seem much stronger than paraffin these days. Your videos are refreshing and easy to watch. Keep them coming. I do love your opinions on which candles blend well together when burning more than one candle at a time. Have a great weekend!😊😊
Thank you Cheryl! I’m sure my collection would be much bigger if I worked for any of these brands. The last paraffin candle I burned was their Home for the Holidays (another nostalgic scent). I also think the soy candles are stronger, but there are many who don’t feel that way. Regardless, I’m happy to add these to my collection. 😊
Hi Katie, you picked out some great candles! I have burned all of these in the past except Belgian waffles. I also purchased some of the original jars from the SAS sale. Even though the strength on them is not great ( I burn them in a very small room with a hurricane and iluma lid) I still enjoy the fragrances! I purchased pineapple cilantro ( awesome fragrance ), honeycrisp apple cider, cherry lemonade, vanilla lime! One of my absolute favorites is Ciderhouse, if you like apple scents it is a gorgeous scent! But I do buy it in the new signature jars because it is stronger 😅 Enjoy your new candles!
I’ve always heard good things about Ciderhouse & really want to get my hands on it. Ideally, I wish they’d release more 3 wicks since I like to get through my candles a little faster. I almost bought Pineapple Cilantro, but I have so many summer candles to get through that I decided to stick with the nostalgic scents.
Vanilla Lime is one I always have back-ups of for summer. I now buy the Signature two wicks though. I love Cherry Lemonade. I burned through one last summer.
Yes, I know I love Vanilla Lime so I figured it was a safe bet to buy 2 & just have them in case it’s ever discontinued. I do the same at Christmas with Home for the Holidays.
Awesome haul!. I have always burned Yankee since 1985. They are my favorite. Belgium Waffles is very nice.. If you like banana scent. Pumpkin Banana Scone is the best and very strong.
Nice haul Katie, so happy you decided to make a YC purchase. This is my favorite brand. Iluma-lids are the best to use to control the burn in the paraffin wax jars. I don't have any, I'm OLD school in not using them lol which I've heard can be a mistake. Are you going to buy any tealights (they're like Daylights from Kringle I assume)? I have a few Gingerbread Maple and a box of Sun-Kissed Thistle left. I enjoy them during the holiday season. So cool that you got Vanilla Lime, looking forward to your review of it with an Iluma-lid. It's such a good scent. Key Lime Pie will be burned next month. Cherry Lemonade is a great Summer scent, I turned 20 in 2000 lol. Honeycrisp Apple Cider is great in all it's forms (car jar, ultimate car jar, candle, fragrance spheres, tealights). Perfect Spring/Summer scent. I've used a lot of it's paper car fresheners and really like it in the past. I bought Belgian Waffles at Bed, Bath, and Beyond back before the store here closed. I liked the scent during the holidays one year, it being the gourmand of choice. It was part of the Sunday Brunch Collection which had Sweet Morning Rose, Floral Candy, Grilled Peaches & Vanilla, White Strawberry Bellini, Blush Bouquet. I have American Home's Buttercream Frosting, definitely a generic scent. Not bad. Just started Homeworx Coastal Sands with Yankee's Mediterranean Breeze combo. Uh, oh I'm slowly becoming one of you reviewers. Happy burning.
@@katiesjoyfullife LOL thanks, you're too kind, I don't have as much Yankee history as Drew does since he's been burning them 10+ years as well as Shawn from Hearthside at least 25 years. I've only been burning Yankee since 2018. Hope Vanilla Lime will be your go to staple in your collection in the future and any other Yankee scent from the past. Melanie really loves their Cranberry Chutney scent and it has a great scent memory to her. Love it when certain brands of candles have scent memories for people. An apple fragrance from Yankee that I highly suggest you check out is Delicious Apple, it's a wonderful red apple scent.
@@scottvanhille5688 the most nostalgic Yankee scent for me is Home for the Holidays. My mom burned it every Christmas & it’s still a candle I buy every year from them in fear that they will discontinue the scent.

I really hope they don't discontinue it. Stock up! That's so cool that you have that familial memory. Do you like Home Sweet Home or Holiday Home Sweet Home? CVS has Home Sweet Home in a 12 ounce pillar jar for 75% off right now. They're getting rid of their room sprays, paper car jars, fragrance spheres, ultimate car jars, other pillar candles, Chesapeake Bay candles, and Nature's Wick candles. They're going to bring in something new this year, just not sure what. Happy burning.
Thanks for sharing your nostalgic Yankee Candle haul, Katie! I have 1 Cherry Lemonade left. IMO, the lemon tempers the cherry quite well. Of a once 100+ collection of Yankee large jars, I have 9 left, all new & unburned. I’m looking to donate 8 of them to a Yankee collector. I don’t have Facebook & eBay now requires that sellers add their bank account info to get payments (no thanks). I sold off much of the collection in 2019 on eBay before the payment changes occurred. Wow! Thats quite the collection. I’ve never sold my candles, but yeah, I wouldn’t be comfortable supplying my bank account info either. I agree with the lemonade balancing out the cherry well.
Honeycrisp Apple Cider sounds so good! I love Apple scents! I don’t purchase from YC too often cause I don’t get the best performance but my favorite scent is Pink Sands! That is one scent that always does well for me. Great haul Katie!😊
