Lord Bader was locked in you could have had him in the 4 hole it didn’t seem to bother him he didn’t know . But Boone should have told him. Also I love tuning in after the games we all get together to celebrate and or commiserate.

Great. Who is past his prime, put up low batting averages but has “good exit velocity”? That’s who they will be adding. Oh, and we can be sure IKF will be our starting shortstop because the Yankees seem to realize things a year later than everyone else knows it.

If Hal went full “Boss/Steinbrenner Sr” mode, he would acquire lots of good guys who can help the team. I would have ball re-sign both Judge and Benintendi if I was him/cashman. Try to do something with Donaldson/Hicks/Torres (some fans don’t want Torres go but have you guys look at what he did in last 3 post seasons?) Definitely call up Peraza and Volpe (Astros call up Peña, guardian call up Kwan etc…) why not call them up ????

Don’t forget we get ridings back too! Our bullpen should have good depth if everyone stays healthy

Yankees should make a strong offer to 1b Abreu if Rizzo opts out. If this doesn't work, then bring back Rizzo. Also go all out for Trea Turner. Peraza at short, DJ at 2nd . Cabrera is your 4th outfielder and utility infielder. Bader at CF and Resign Benatendi. If Judge resigns great, if not, go and get Joc Pedersen. Trade material Higgy, Torres and Donaldson. Get some bullpen help. Sign Rodon or Verlander to Rotation. My trade targets would be Bryan Renynolds and Bednar. Locastro is your 5th outfielder and defensive replacement. Throw the 3 vets and couple prospects and Bullpen looks good. Also, go after the Houston set up man Montero who is a free agent. Catcher id Vortredt and Trevino. Ridings and King return to bullpen next year. Volpe can slide in to 2nd or Third and either Turner moves, or DJ becomes a 2nd utility/DH guy. Stanton is the DH full time. Rotation Cole, Sevy, Cortes, Montas(off season will do wonders for him next year) and either Rodon OR Verlander. That is my solution for the year and the lineup. It brings balance and more contact hitting with speed.

I like the idea of getting a genuine closer, but Diaz would be far to expensive. I think Rafael Montero has an equally dominant arm and will only be half the price of Diaz.

I dread dropping the Martian in one of my keeper fantasy leagues but I picked up Corbin Carroll of the Diamondbacks. He was an outfield prospect, ranked about the #3 prospect in the game overall, he made his big league debut with the D’Backs last season and got a ton of playing time. He should be a regular starter in the majors going forward.

Boone seemed overwhelmed by the moment. Or the analytics/suits that programmed the game for him show again that they aren’t baseball minds. In what alternate universe do you think the Yankees, with less $$ , could pry Diaz from the Mets. Yep, Bader looks like the real deal, and very happy to be home.

Derek, good points as always except for wanting to sign Diaz. He’s going to command $20+ million a year. We just had $30 million on the books with 2 relievers in chapman and Britton. The money that Diaz is going to command can be spent on a turner or Correa. We need to somehow sign one of those 2. I’d package Torres for David Bednar from the pirates for BP help

They will take their usual half assed approach to the offseason once Cashman signs a new contract...wait and see...

What are your thoughts on Masataka Yoshida. I feel like he will fit great with the Yankees but with all these outfielders, It’s gonna be tricky to get him on the pinstripes

It wasn’t a trade but if you’re going to do Brian Cashman’s best and worst moves, you should add Matt Carpenter to the list of best. Even if it was just for a few short weeks, he raked and they gave nothing and no one up for him.

Yeah, again, my feelings and nutshell! 😡 Most definitely we have to bolster the starting rotation that is clear, bullpen 2 but we have to have some guys that can go a little bit longer than five and a third innings all the time throwing 96 pitches!

Brian Cashman actually said, “People don’t get let go because of results….[if] they have good process, sound reasoning and, y’know, the ultimate outcome doesn’t happen, I think that’s taken into account”. Wow, George Steinbrenner really has been gone a long time, hasn’t he? I could see George firing someone, solely based on how stupid that sounded. In what business do results not matter?

I think it's too soon to judge the Bader/Montas moves. What if the playoffs were an anomaly for Bader and he hits .250 with stellar defense? What if Montas as been hurt this entire time and that's why he stunk? Boone didn't do him any favors putting him in for the first time since his injury in the spot he did. I'm not saying Montas is the craps nor am I saying that Bader is the steal of the year yet. I think a full season from both will be more telling as to how Cashman did.

It's official, Brian Cashman is unfireable. Even if Hal Steinbrenner wanted to fire him, he wouldn't know where to begin. He's not a baseball man, he's a businessman and so long as folks continue to pack that Big Ballpark in the Bronx, world titles be damned. We're doomed.

If the Yankees do NOTsign Judge, the smart move would be to rebuild the club in 2023.Bring up the rookies and let them play ..Try and trade Donaldson, Stanton, Hicks, DJ for prospects, and build for the future..They have some good young talent, don’t trade them away!

Lets say Judge wants to remain Yankee and receives an acceptable offer from management. Lets say the Giants offer a deal with slightly more money. Doesn't the player union force Judge to accept the highest bid. His agent makes more money with the highest bid and the players union gets what it wants. However, Judge could make a ton of money marketing himself in the New York market place without an agents cut. So will Judge get the best financial advice overall. That is the question.

Injuries, it's what kills us every year. Yanks need a solid backup for injury prone players. This year, even our back ups got hurt. Surprised we made it to ALCS. Wish we didn't. Yanks didn't deserve to be there. I been a yankee fan for 43 years.

Bader CF judge RF Benintendi LF Carpenter Stanton DH LF put him to play during season great arm has good instinct in LF Stanton hits better when he plays the field Carpenter should get field time this will help incase of injuries try and trade Hicks eat some of contract and throw in young prospects or prospect. Donaldson's last year yankees might have to live with this decision at shortstop let's see Envopi IKF doesn't have the range or the arm for shortstop admit Didi Gregorius was a very good shortstop and a clutch hitter reliable at shortstop not the best reliable Cashman should just admit the mistake and get him back I'm not talking pitching yet that's a whole different conversation.

Cashman has 1 ring in 20 years. Cashman provides baseball entertainment and hires big names but can't produce a pennant winning ballclub. We'll watch the yanks win 90+ games next year but will get stymied again in the playoffs. Same same, but different year.

I believe in Cashman very much with the very lone exception that Boone was NEVER the right choice to take over that 2017 team. Cashman I believe was influenced by players like Sanchez complaining Girardi was too tough. Piss poor management right there Cashman. Boone was not, nor will EVER be the right man,even if you build a juggernaut and win it all. You still had to give OVER abundance of talen to overcome a little league manager. Boone is a little league manager on the job training experiment. Why couldn't the Marlins or other bottom feeder hire him instead of the worlds #1 valued franchise ? BTW Volpe is NOT strong armed enough to be a MLB SS. Perazza is. Volpe is a 3B 2B or LF. Volpe is NOT a better defender than Perazza,PERIOD !!!

I rather have Tillman back he had good run won the most game as for Frankie martas I would give a chance to see if he could pitch in New York we have to get out starting five pitchers we have Relief .get our outfielders Benintendi Bader judge out infield Cabera at Third Paraza at short stop Torres at second Rizzo at first DJ back up infield catcher Tralvino. Stanton DH carpenter in bench. That should be our team .They don't sign judge the Yankees will be in trouble.

First of all, Bader should be the everyday lead off hitter,not DJ. DJ should hit in the 2 spot. Also, I think they should let Judge go. Wayyyy too much money for a guy that always chokes in the playoffs. Let Judge go and get a real good right field hitter. Maybe its time to bring the young guys up. Stop paying ridiculous amounts of money for players that do not produce!! COLE !!!!!!!! Then get some pitching but dont burn the Steinbrenner wallet to do that. Personally, I am sick of the Yanks. Its Hockey time, GO ISLANDERS !!!!!!

Think you’re being too harsh on Montas. I suspect that he wasn’t 100% healthy in the last 2 months. Look for him to rebound next season and be no worse than a number 3 in the starting rotation.

Kick Cashman out.
