Just want to point out some possible alternative Yankee history. A few years ago, the Angels changed the Boundary for HRs in right field. You used to have to hit it over the entire wall in right. Now it just has to go over that yellow line like the one the Angels hit in the 7th. Had that been the case in the 2005 LDS, Jason Giambi would have tied that crucial and ultimately heart breaking Game 5 in the 7th inning.

This Yankees team is solid. But Stanton popping up on the first pitch after a walk....tells us everything we need to know about him. So much money for so much failure.

I'm glad the Yankees won of course and Volpe and Gil did what they did. But can we talk about how bad the ump was and other officials. For both sides. I miss when officials were actually pretty good. Of course there is human error, but this season in the majors is ridiculous.

This is nuts. If they call an infield fly rule isn't the batter automatically out whether the ball is caught or not? In this situation it was a guaranteed double play as soon as the ball was hit. Either Soto stays off the bag, the ball is caught at the bag and he is out or he goes back to the bag and is called for interference and he is out. Is there any scenario where Soto can be safe and it's not a double play?

Boon shoudln't have been ejected for simply questioning the rationale for a complicated play. There was no ranting or temper displayed.

Tickets to this game were legitimately $3 for good seats I have no idea why…not complaining though
