This song...no, MASTERPIECE...is absolutely hypnotizing. Hear the flute-like instrument and you start to feel yourself going off into a world far away. Far away from life's stress. Then the violin takes your nerves into a high...none higher than than the tallest mountain. Then the flute and violin join to create a movement that sends tears running down your face as if you have heard a piece of what true peace feels like. Honestly, beautiful play on arrangement.
sunt turcoaica si ascult cu mare placere pe yanni in special aceasta pentru cami alina sufletul, nu faceti bine ca contraversati in politica arta muzicii !acesti oameni au ajuns cu munca si au iubit aceasta arta din mainile lor ascultam si privim viata in momente dificile putina alinare in suflet !este minunat cea ce ascultam !multumim yanni!!!!!!!
Nostalgia was my favorite song when i was a kid. when i heard it again i couldnt breath and everything around me just stop. the most beautiful sound in life, i got to say.
Thank you, Vestu. I listened to it again and returned to heaven. I have 2 parrots whom are hooked on him to. Thank you again Yanni for making my heart soar and putting my soul at peace.
This is probably one of THE best songs I have ever heard in my entire fourteen years! Hell, This is really really good! No words could ever discribe how talented and musically genius this song was!
The duduk intro was astonishing and ventureful, taking you into another land, and that one note for the beginning of the violin was extraordinarily drawn out perfectly. You could 'feel' the silence all around that one note.
Wow..The passion and feeling that Samvel and Pedro have for their instruments ,is very evident. And then we have the amazing Yanni, who writes the most incredible music, and arrangements.Bravo!
Yanni is a genius for exploring various cultural tunes and instruments and not restricting himself to classical or more common instruments only. That's why I love this video so much; there's nothing like the Ancient Armenian Duduk!
It's my first time to view the works of yanni in youtube and i felt amaze. My tiredness was gone when i watch and listen to all the music I watch and heard.
This is the best version of Nostalgia I have ever heard. I did not know that he wrote Nostalgia as a child, it is one of my most favorite of his .. he is incredible! The Mozart of our generation
Man!!!!....I just love Samvel, he is a dream.....Samvel!!!!!...marry meeee!!!!!!.....I watch this videos every single day, this music brings so much peace to my soul, Yanni is out of this world, as well as all these wonderful musicians, they are angels....;))))
What is fascinating is that Yanni allows these muscians - who come from all parts of the world and have different social and religious backgrounds - to play his music with their own interpretations and at the same time succeeds in creating such beautiful songs. Many say that they cannot find words to describe this piece; I 100% agree. The reason many of us cannot is because this piece of music is outside our realm of comprehension. What a mesmerizing performance!
Yianni's background is Greek and this masterpiece is inspired from the old traditional Greek music.. it kept my hairs up for every single second of this song!!!
Such an amazing piece that words cannot explain it's sound but even more it's meaning: What prelude is is a tribute to the Greeks, Armenians and other Orthodox Christians that were murdered, slaughtered and raped by the Ottoman Empire for 500 years.
I love how the music was so soothing and then beautifully taken to a new path filled with excitement! Hats of to Yanni and all the musicians! Just great!
yanni's music is the ruler of the hear and there is no other feeling than music that show or have any barriers to anyone. it reaches the depth of the mind body and soul. there is no hate in the heart that feels what this sends. listen with your heart not your eyes and hatred.
when da change comes,i mean, nostalgia starts,i find it da best part...yanni running his fingers on the keys nd da vilon players start to play together! unbelievable! yanni is a true music talent.
Music is like a rainbow it has no bounds or prejudices. it only seeks to fill the mind, body soul and the deepest part of the heart. so when you are filled with this peace and love don't hate, this was written for all to love and all to be loved.
Prelude makes me close my eyes and think of everything that is wrong with the world. It also makes me think how beautiful it could be if we only tried. This music is sheer brilliance.
I Cant stop to listen your music Yanni, a friend from Greece make me listen you wonderful music, he sent me CDS of your music, im so Happyyyyyyyyyyy.!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I first saw him play in a little campus theatre of 325 seats in Dallas - 1986. Playing alongside him, in a much lesser role, was John Tesh. Yanni's music inspires relaxation, and, strangley, an energy of passion. Keep your music playing for years!! Let's see the 2009 Tour!!
Is there any other instrument that makes you want to just cry, more than the Duduk? And I just discovered it now. This is the most beautiful thing I have heard in a long time. It has the entire emotional range of a life in it - the high ups, the come downs, the joys, the memories, the nightmares, the breaks, the dreams, the failures, the glories, the hatreds, the loves - the long, charged, intense, vivid adventure that is LIFE. And makes it beautiful.
I cannot find a word either barisevran. I look and feel it and can only say the Glory of God shines through you Yanni and I love you for your gift to us with love .
Samvel makes the violin cry. And when Pedro joins its magic! Foarte frumos! Also on the second part look how effortlessly Yanni moves his fingers over the piano. Pure magic.
It is the music which I would like to have in my burial not what it describes my life with every moment of nostalgia, suffering, love, and disappointments. It is splendid
trust me ive watched alot of instrumental music videos on youtube and yanni remains my fav. The emotions he can make ppl live are undescribable and un ique. This is the absolute meaning of music, for me.
im into some of the rawest and most gutteral forms of music there is...yet what yanni has contributed...i cant help but just love...it is the human spirit exposed in the purest of ways
.So many from the past, present, and I am sure from the future are and will be able to compose and play melodies in perfection. To here them play in perfect harmony is wonderful and enjoyable but, To actually cause the instruments to give life is a rare gift. That life being one which touch's the heart and takes you to a place that can only be seen and felt by the heart. Every time I listen to this video I feel so blessed. I hope everyone who listens to his music feels the same way.
Armenian duduk is super and very old intsrument about 3000 years. amazing. Excellent musicians, thanks to Samvel Yervinyan and Armen Movsessian. special thanks to Yanni.
I've grown up listening to Yanni my whole life because my father was a huge fan. When I was younger I always wondered why Yanni never sang. It wasn't until the last year or two that I realized how nasal his voice is XD. Love the sound of the duduk and Samvel's violin.
yanni is the king of the music! he makes hard hearts cry while they lsn to his musics. Mr. Pedro Eustache is the best fife's player ever. he makes people cry. Mr. samvel Yervinyan is the best violin player
Music is sometimes considered a universal language, capable of expressing things no mortal language could ever aspire to attain in its most wildest dreams of communication...I believe Yanni as personified this very thought, capturing the human spirit in indescribable ways. Awesome falls short as an adjective, so does inspiring, amazing, Astounding, and all those other words. This is the true meaning of music
Prelude is def one of the MOST HAUNTING melodies Ive ever heard - and played on a duduk even more incredible. You're not affected ? Live a little longer, you'll see. Nostalgia is also a gorgeous melody LL my brother BT
When i listen to music like this, I feel my soul is listening, it's a sensation, hard to explain, some people call it a religious experiance, but i dont think it has anything to do with religion at all... But maybe this type of music unlocks part of us that have remained dormant until that time, A small insight into who we are in the universe. **Yanni The once in a generation Genius**
Prelude, one of the best song of YANNI!! I lovethis...DUDUK... Remembers me of Gladiator`s Soundtrack, especially of "Duduk of the north"... Thank you, Yanni, for your beautiful music!!
I can listen to this song over and over again.. watch this video a million times, and yet.. I cry everytime like the first time I listened it.. I'm so moved..
i'm getting a duduk because of this song...and because of the avatar as well. This is an awesome song. So moving...it's all emotion...it gets down the soul of the person.
