I’ve been playing smite casually since it hit beta on Xbox back in season 2. I could never imagine playing as a pro for smite that long. I hope you keep trying new games and start making videos on new things. You deserve a break from the pro scene and the ability to expand your channel to new heights.
As a European, I really hope they are able to bring Smite 2 to the world stage with the Continental leagues and the good old times of EU vs NA and the huge reach the game had and how exciting it was to see the SWC and SPL

One of the best things to happen to me was discovering you, your content, jokes, videos, streams, literally everything has helped me through a dark time. Which I will forever be grateful for. Oh a shit day? Time to load up some fineokay on the screen. It is unfortunate about the pro scene but I totally understand and support about you taking a different route. You have forever left your mark on smite. There will never be another solo laner like you brother. You are absolutely insane at the game. The best to ever do it imo. I've always appreciated your balanced takes on Smite and that is further evidenced by not being a doomer about Smite 2. I look forward to some content about Smite 2 as guides to help people get better. And I look forward to you still floating around the Smite 2 community.
I think there is at least some validity in being a doomer about smite 2, maybe not in smite itself because you can see how much better it looks and feels just from 2nd hand recording of gameplay. At least for me I'm a doomer about Hi-rez because even if we assume this was purely for artistic and design decisions so they can do more with smite and the skins and gods being lost are just coincidental they're still competing with themselves and no matter how good it is will still always have a looming "when is this God coming back" "can you remake this old skin? The new ones aren't as good" that will stop some people from playing and even if smite 1 is playable it will plummet from their best selling game keeping them afloat to making basically nothing in the hopes that the benefits of smite 2 will hold people over long enough for it to get all the updates it needs to just reach where smite 1 is for some people and then surpass it far enough to justify staying with it and spending money It's a high risk move that maybe they were forced to make, I just don't know if they went about it in the best way

My wishlist for ranked would be more holistic rewards; not all of us are good enough to carry games and advance up to top tiers. I’d like to see ranked (up to platinum) be more focused on a fun but serious environment with lots of rewards just for playing; exclusive rewards can go to those in diamond +. (Think casual - try something new, platinum ranked - serious play, diamond+ ranked - competitive scene).

It's not Ymir level but Chaac at least got a change where you can recast his 1 to return his Axe early, in the case where you'd like to use your 2 and not teleport. It's not something that necessarily "feels new" but even touch ups like that I am super happy with

@@oscarguillenobeso5005 No I definitely like it more. It's superior in every way to smite and adds more complexity to the game. Giving the items an active effect is also great, adding also more complexity. I don't care at all if the game looks like another game, if you find something good in another game, take it and put it in yours. Same with the portals, they took it from paragon the overprime, but it's a great concept allowing for a lot of new plays.

Super chill video and very well explained thoughts. I am a returning player, i've played league of legends during these years and what kept me playing was competitiveness of the game. Hi rez should learn from that and understand that making the game easier is not the play here. You can "protect" the noobs with proper matchmaking. Unreal engine 5 will give the devs so much freedom and i hope they will spice up many characters, mentioning chaac was spot on, they should upgrade his third ability, it's obsolete tbh

I love that the fact you said more complex gods, I felt like half the time when a new god came out it just felt like they took abilities from other gods and just slapped them on a new god, LOL does a really good job at making unique characters and just overall have a better overall gameplay im really hoping that they change that for smite 2

I've been playing for awhile and actually just got my fiance into the game too, and we really enjoy the game and are getting better. But don't even waste our time with ranked since there is already so much toxicity in casual joust or conquest. I would love to play ranked but don't care for 40 minutes of constant trash talk if you're still learning.
I'd be lying if I said that it wasn't a bit disappointing to hear that you're not planning on trying for a ring (or whatever they're planning on giving out) for Smite 2 when you've come so close so many times, but regardless of all of that you'll always be my GOAT. And beyond that, what you have here on this channel and on your stream are really special, so I can't wait to see where we're headed. (hopefully not just the hunter players get to have fun with their power capped full AS crit build ;-; )
Something I'm quite curious about with Smite 2 is the goal for the number/type of gods we are bringing into the game. One part of me hopes the goal is to add all smite 1 gods eventually and continue to build upon a LARGE roster. Another part of me says some gods brought too many design issues and we started to reach the category of extremely unfun to play against because of this design (I think about Marti and Maman for this, they are interesting kits with stealth in the grass patches, and dashing into your enemy, but they brought out a lot of just unfun immunities where they could counter what you do but you cant counter what they do without just a silence). Do you know if they plan on every god or just a select list? Because there are gods I would be sad to see go, gods I wouldnt be sad to see go but i know others would, and probably some inbetween for everyone. With Yemoja already confirmed, magical crit seemingly possible and sol returning to boot, it seems like the flood gates might open immediately upon alpha release for big design and balance challenges too. Will be interesting to see how these get tackled. Congrats on your amazing SPL career fineo, one of the best and most enjoyable players to watch. Wish I could have seen you lift the hammer, but can't say I didn't enjoy every second of your games either way man.
Glad youre still going to be a content creator! You have a really funny sense of humor and are very entertaining. You love the game, and you incite positivity. Content creators are so important for the growth of a new game. And I agree people being upset about the skins is odd. Entitlement creates issues out of non-issues. Like you said, the money we spend on smite is not an investment. You shouldn't expect that money back. Nor expect its product to last forever. If you thought it was you were fooled, and not by anyone at Hi-rez. It is a free game. They need to pay the devs, artists, and everyone on the team for creating and working on the game we all love. Stew can't pay out of pocket forever.

i like the idea of gods being more complex and not so noob oriented, im tired of gods having just a straight skillshot and an aoe skill and thats all, i want more gods with interesting mechanics that truly challenge us

It looks great, but I really hope they keep the keyboard / controller remapping options. As someone disabled who games it's always really important to have as much customization as possible to become as efficient as possible. Also I hope the hud and graphics are customizable also as looking at the gameplay coming out it looks very visually loud if there's a way to tone it down or just have less pop ups like on the animations on the gold, xp, and damage numbers toned down would be great or at least an option. I love your content and look forward to continuing to watch it in the future.

Yeah bud, I'd have no idea how it feels to be pro but also try to stream on top of it. If you do not thing it is too much, I feel as if you're good enough to continue being on the top level, you should. Streaming WILL always be there, since you have so many fans. I agree with almost all of your opinions, very hyped for smite 2 and I think the hype will be rewarder as they have shown a lot of good intentions during the presentation (in particular I loved the new matchmaking) Also always fun to see how DW will try to buy urchin every chance he gets
No hopefully Smite 2 doesn't crash like Smite does. It shouldn't punish you when it crashes. That would be infuriating to have a 30 min ban simply off an error.
Any games specifically you’d want to grind out? I think it would be cool to learn other mobas! Especially since their esports is a lot more competitive i think you’d really enjoy them
I think what Smite 2 needs to do different than Smite 1 is to simultaneously lower the learning curve but keeping a high skill ceiling. Problem with Smite 1 which had many of my friends quit or stick to Arena is the commitment needed to simply learning Smite 1's Conquest map, from all the items, relics, the whole meta of itself and then stack all the Gods ontop. Something as simple as Smite's many unwritten rules like having to start at various jungle buffs which changes several times during a season is a huge gatekeeper to opening up Conquest to being more new player friendly (or even returning players) rather than having you start at your lane and jungler in the jungle. It's hard to keep up with these unwritten metas unless you watch the pro scene throughout every season, but even then I've seen people argue and get toxic where both players are doing an older meta but thinking it's the legit one and unwilling to change cause the milk already been spilled. I hope Smite 2 can fix that, keep it simple at the core and the start of the game. The new items and item store seems to already look more new player friendly but still offer complex builds if you dig in deeper, but in a fun way. It punishes less for building the wrong item cause the T1's can build into so many but rewards picking the right components when you need them, as well as just the whole STR vs INT system and how transparent it is on abilities and having crit back on magical gods is amazing. I do agree Smite 2 shouldn't cater to a complete casual crowd, but it also shouldn't swing heavily in the other direction by having a too steep learning curve like current Smite 1 has cause veterans and pros just "want more" that eventually it gatekeeps newer players or players who simply don't have the time and energy to climb that learning mountain, quitting before they get to the fun part of honing your skill level and perfecting how you play your Gods and the map.
I agree with trying to push conquest and getting people more into the competitive scene, but I'm not sure how they would do that while also making the game more complex and less noob-friendly. If you talk to the people who only play arena or assault, they'll tell you they just wanna jump in a game and have fun with a cool skin. Increasing the entry barrier is just going to make conquest less appealing to them.
That and the hardcore audience is already taken by LoL and Dota 2. Smite 2 will definitely see a lot more new blood but the moba market is a hard place to make a big footprint in.
The smite 2 announcement is the sole reason I came back to smite after a 3-4 month hiatus I like a lot of the changes and hopefully smite 2 can thrive in ways smite 1 never could

Conquest is the second main game mode, we all know siege was the trillest. They removed it because people liked it more than conquest lmao. In all seriousness good luck in your journey man Ill be checking in to see what you are up too. I feel you on the "old" part im 33 with 3 kids and married. Alot has changed since this game came out to now. I feel my reflexes getting slower I'm definitely past my prime but im gonna play games as long as Im able. I wish they had age group tournaments that would be pretty dope. Not sure if I'll pick up smite 2, might start getting into less competitive stuff. I just cant justify playing a game with all the same characters that Ive been playing for years just because it has better effects and graphics.
I don’t play ranked that much because of how long it takes to get into a game. 5 minute queue, 4 minute pick and ban phase just to more than likely get booted out because someone dodged. Whereas in a casual conquest game, 1-2 minute queue and a 90 second pick phase and I’m in.
I enjoy your content regardless of what it is. It is a shame about worlds, you guys still did good imo and the matches are always fun to watch regardless of the outcome.
The one thing I want the most from smite 2 is to increase the party size for ranked conquest. I want to trio queue with my squad but we’re forced to run casual because of this stupid limitation

If you go to any Smite stream and complain about skins, you get called a clown. I've read the subreddit and the amount of people slinging shit at these developers is honestly awful. Not a singular company on this earth would do what they are doing and it still is not enough for these people. Absurd.
