Yarn shopping in London!

In April, I went to London and visited two beautiful yarn shops, Beautiful Knitters and Loop Knitting.
In this video, I show you these two amazing yarn shops and also reveal all of the knitting goodies I purchased in each shop.
My main reason for deciding to go yarn shopping in London was because I wanted to try out the Knitting for Olive yarn that Beautiful Knitters stock. I also love visiting Loop Knitting too because they have such a wonderful selection of knitting, crochet and embroidery supplies that you don't find in the average haberdashery shop!
I also briefly discuss in this video about my latest adventure into the world of starting my own Small Holding and how I plan to spin the fleeces from my flock of sheep into hand knitting yarn.

I very much enjoyed this podcast. Loved the trips to the yarn shops and seeing your purchases. That sparkle thread is fabulous - I remember a very long time ago (probably about 1974!) making a little sparkly gold top with something similar. I'm looking forward to watching when you are knitting the Knitting for Olive tops and also anything about your smallholding.

Hello, I'm new to your channel and a relatively new RU-vidr. Like you I have recently knitted with yarn from Knitting for Olive for the first time. I have knit the Late Summer Wrap, using the merino and silk mohair. When you have done the swatch for your merino and mohair, you might be interested to know that Knitting for Olive do free worldwide shipping on your first order. It is so much cheaper, even when you have paid the tax to purchase direct from them. I really like all of your purchases, I need a trip to London to do a yarn pilgrimage soon! How cute to have your own flock of sheep! I think that will be a really lovely thing to document on your channel

Thank you for the information that’s really good to know 😃 I didn’t even think to look at purchasing on their online shop as didn’t realise about their postage offer. I’m going to be uploading a new video this week about the Knitting for Olive Puff Tee I recently knitted and what I thought of it and how it looks knitted etc 🤗

Glad you had fun in my city, buying yarns. I am a crocheter but I buy online cos there are no shops near me. Pimlico is a bit of distance for me, maybe one day.

I don’t knit, but have recently (last five years) been indulging my love of textiles by taking up headwrapping, selecting and purchasing scarves. Those colors you selected are lovely!
