What a great idea!! I want a swift that sits on the table, not one that clamps to a table. I'm going to make one of these. If I use a hose clamp at the top it would be collapsible, or I can use zip ties to hold it and won't need glue. You've got me thinking now! 😀 Thank you from Ontario:)
It is 12:30 in the morning and I never thought I'd find myself watching a video about home made swifts. Thank you for your thorough instructions and personality. I hope someone sent you a nice swift! We're definitely going to watch more of your videos. We wanted to get my wife a swift but when we saw the cost, we knew we couldn't afford it. I'm going to make her a swift! 😁
I'm so thrilled you are making one, no one has sent me one, but I really don't need it. I was using it just today and it still does the job very well! I have lots of tips and tricks in my videos, lots from my subscribers as well, feel free to comment with any crafty tips. Thanks for watching ♥
Good question, as the skien gets to the end I move them down to under neath thespian to keep it from falling off. And a second reason is that sometimes I have put it on the floor so as the wool comes up to my ball winder the pins stop the wool from flipping up. Basically I just have them if I need them. Hope this makes sense.
your welcome!! please be sure to subscribe ❤️ Also check out my Part 2 to this video, I fixed it up.... let's say I lost my marbles... lol I did part to a few months ago
Pure genuis!!!! I want to start using a nalbinding method and it's said that wool is best for that. I'm still gathering information and supplies. I've never used wool before so I'm studying up😄 This is the perfect affordable solution to the swift! Thanks for sharing and also I'm now subscribed! You're voice is calming and your information is clear! Looking forward to watching more of your videos!
Awww Thanks so very much for your lovely comments, and Welcome! I really have had alot of fun doing these videos! Hope you are enjoying your summer! Cheers! ♥ xx
@@soxynanaalice I wish I could post small vids in the comments. I didn't have a hot glue gun to make this swift, but I worked something else out! I just loosened the knob on the top of a lamp and put the hank on the lamp shade. The lamp shade spins loose enough to work as a swift without going too fast due to friction
