Vinegar (plain white or cleaning) for cleaning the hard scale works amazing, without harsh chemicals!! Just pour enough into a container to cover, and let soak. You can also pour some into a baggie and attach with rubber band for shower heads. Anyway, I soaked ours overnight and it came out like new. Maybe it only take 3-6 hrs but it was late at night so we just went with it. The kitchen sink faucet also came out amazing. Filled a small container and clamped on a snack clip to keep the spray nozzle extended without it retracting. Cheers!
Hi Mark, I have a tip for you on the drilling hole marks just grab some tape like painter's tape and stick it on back of the unit then punch in holes on the tape will it's on the unit then just pell off and stick the same painter's tape on the wall that you punched the holes and Walla there's your hole guide
Hey Matthew, good idea. I can say that the unit seems to have become less effective as time has gone on. My sister in law is looking for a salt based system soon.
I bought one of these and I need someone to install it. I live in San Antonio, should I hire a plumber? My regular handy man said he’s not comfortable doing it. It’s a pier and beam house so requires someone to get under the house
I don't feel any heat coming off the unit after it has been plugged in for some time. I would still consult Yarna to see what they say. You can reach them on their site "contact" link. They have an email and phone number listed: office@yarna.com +1(302) 231 1338. They are based in the US
