Thank you for featuring the goddess Yasmin! A lifelong Duran Duran fan, I've been *obsessed* with Yasmin for decades, she's so incredibly articulate and kind as well as stunningly beautiful
She is totally different from what I expected her to be.She is funny, outgoing, down to earth. I always thought she was Simons silent sidekick, but I never heard her speak until now. What a cool woman!
Hasn,t she aged WELL..............not a mark on her face...............was always my fav. model back then etc..........she looks "Fab"........................and a "lovely" personality.....................we need to see MORE from her.........................
I thought her wedding photos were the most beautiful wedding photos I have ever seen , her face and hair and dress were simplistic chic that was absolutely breathtaking
Great interview! I've loved & followed her career since the mid eighties when everyone had blonde hair/blue eyes. And finally someone so beautiful with dark hair/brown eyes. Sooo....when I ran away from home to LA in 86', I told everyone my name was Yasmin.😬
I ve always loved Yasmin, a wonderful woman ,one of my favorite models of the 90s. Down to earth, very simple although very charismatic and so beautiful. She could be changing herself in anything she wanted, I also admire her as a mother .
Instagram and social media has changed the model game tremendously ( in a good way), from the days when Yasmin modeled. A new model like Kendall Jenner would not have made it to be the highest paid model in the world so quick in her career. And she did it without having to sleep with the right guy or anything nefarious like that which models needed to subject themselves to back then. I like how these older models try to gloss over the industry in those days. Let's also keep in mind , Yasmin was lucky enough to find the love of her life at 20 years old and stay married for all those years, which gave her stability most models did not have.
Thank you for showcasing this beautiful icon of a woman. I found your chat with her , so fascinating, interesting, charming, funny, real, and inspiring. Def do a part 2 . ❤
I still have a folder of magazine pages and photos that I used to rip out in the 80's when my friends and I followed the DD model girlfriend's as much as the band.
Yasmin le bon 🌷 is so beautiful and so amazingly kind, honest, fresh, intelligent and wise and l think her style was always really authentic and exquisite 🌼💛🌺
Lovely Yasmin. Loved her since my teenage Duranie days. Her smile is so gorgeous and still so youthful. I used to draw her face on my fashion croqis in design school. Love her.
Thanks to my love of Duran Duran, YT algo recommended this video for my consideration. I knew Simon married a beautiful model in the 1980s but I didn’t know anything else about her. Now, after watching this interview, I feel confident in saying he married a stunning human soul. She appears kind, compassionate, and intelligent. I found her perspective about modeling being another form of story telling and that it requires a higher level of imagination than actors because actors are often pigeon holed by their previous roles. This made me wonder if there might be a book or movie script out there showing the wonder and beauty of modeling as a model learns the art of imagination. So many modeling movies tell the story of addiction and eating disorders, etc. They rarely show the evolution of learning how to create classics as an art form. I had never really considered that side of modeling unless I was reading an anthology type piece with models representing various stages of the story with a companion text.
Such a lovely woman. I'm so glad she and Simon are still together. I've been Duran Duran fan for 40 years. It broke my teenage heart when Simon got married. I'm glad her chose her to marry. They're truly soulmates. I feel that way with my husband. We just celebrated 29 years together. He's a Duran Duran fan too. That helped with deciding to date him.😂😂😂
Yasmin please start enjoying looking at yourself. Looks, personality, soul. The sum of all youre parts! And that includes your family. Youre so Lovely. Be kind, when you look in the mirror😊❤
What a lovely lady! I remember her from back in the day - ripped jeans in the 'model off duty' look and supercool. Great to know how nice she is in real life 😊
Lovely interview, both women look beautiful and Amanda thank you for interviewing gorgeous, adorable Yasmin. She looks amazing and I’m so curious does anyone happen to know who makes Yasmin’s gold link necklace she’s wearing? 🙏 Love it and her!!! ❤
Yasmin is so right. We need to bring back clothing manufacturing to the UK. We were known for our quality high-street clothing 40+ years ago. But big chains got greedy and there was more profit exploiting third world countries. There's a middle ground between Primark and Designer ready to wear, that UK manufacturing could easily inhabit. Fast fashion exploits the workers and the planet to the detriment of us all.
As a teen that loved rock stars and super models, I had pics of my favorite band on one wall and pics of my fave models right next to them...one pic of Simon Le Bon right next to young model Yasmin Parvaneh. I believe I made a cosmic love match.
Yasmin lebon 🎉🎉🎉is totally awesome beautiful women she's so so so down to earth I've met her a few times in the past so so beautiful ❤️❤️❤️ and she is so beautiful a gud wife to oh yes Simon lebon and her daughters and grand children so yes she's amazing epic llluuvvlllyyy beautiful women 🎉🎉🎉so go for it girl I hope I see ya again in the near future 🎉🎉🎉
Yasmin looks better in her 50's. I thought I saw her in person once at concert hall here in the United States. She looked like she would slit a throat. Did not smile at anyone. She is Scorpio, so I can relate.
It’s nice to see such a beautiful woman discuss real issues, especially when it comes to as we age regarding menopause and hormones, bloating, etc. You just realize that although they may be famous, they still have the same problems. I loved her. She seems so kind and caring.I’d like to have lunch with her
She was always a bit sort of hippyish bohemian i thought and has that vibe. Simons a bit like that too i reckon. She's right about how much better it was back in the day, they could switch off.
Wonderful interview Amanda, Yassy has always been my favourite supermodel 💖⭐️ One thing though I find confusing, she champions inclusivity and diversity but yet is worried how a tattoo will look when she's older...
Even though I only watched this as a Duran fan, I found it very interesting how fragile Yasmin is under the surface. The whole thing about people being kind to her, about putting on one ounce and feeling fat, and struggling to wear things. Yasmin looks not a day over 35, with that olive half iranian skin, and look at that neck. Nobody at any age has a swan neck like that, nerry a single wrinkle. She would look amazing in a black bin bag and wearing an ash tray, and as she smokes 40 a day, and parties all around the world, I can't see it has made a single difference to her. She really needs to take a leaf out of John Taylor/Gela Nash/Vivian Westwoods book and stick two fingers up at anyone who judges her. PARTICULARLY HERSELF.
Absolutely adore Yasmin she has such grace timeless beauty and that self deprecating charm . I do believe in inclusivity but that shouldnt mean that the mystique of the model as muse is lost . So right about the exploitation in industries like modelling .
Timeless beauty. Whats her secret? She never aged since i saw her pictures with Simon. Coz im a big big fan of Duran Duran. I first saw her on pop magz with Mr.Le Bon.
Lovely interview until...she's a bit special. You really don't need to go there. Swap that with any other marginalised group - go on, do it - you just wouldn't. But 'a bit special' is fine isn't it.
