I don't own a website or a razor company. I just give my honest opinion about the best razors out there and this is number one in my book completely blew away the Rex envoy. Not even in the same league. The Rex envoy feels like a toy with no purpose compared to this razor. Too much height with the Rex not enough love with the little guy

You have to try the “winning “ model yates makes. I talked to 2 guys who have over 100 razors in their den. Both said it’s the most mild but most efficient razor they have ever tried bar none!

Definitely in my top five for best safety razor. The soap is also in my top five now I liked it better than PAA. CK-6. Really a great soap that was easy to lather. The slickness was off the charts

This was a great shave -- haven't tried Ariana & Evans yet, but need to get to that. Yates razors are AMAZING.... super efficient with whichever baseplates (M and H as well as the EH you show here...)

From first glance after the first pass it sure did look like if you had to run out the door you could have gotten away with a 1 pass shave. That was incredible. I got in on the pre-order for the Yates Winning TI and after seeing this shave from a Yates product I can't wait to get mine in February. What can I say, I'm a baked in angle razor lover. That Yates Winning TI completes my Christmas baked in angle purchases (Pre-Order Winning TI, Henson Medium TI, TRC Stainless, Syntesi stainless and both Leaf Twig and Thorn). Can't wait to start rotating all of them. Used the Syntesi with a Lord Platnium the other day and it was incredible. As for the soap, while I was seriously impressed with how the V2 popped, I just don't know if I can justify the cost. My cap is 11.99 for a 2 ounce soap and 19.99 for a 4-5 ounce soap. That would take me out of the VR2 products. However seeing their site has some tallow based under that cap I'll have to try it out (that Amaretto is screaming my name). Another great video.

Nice shave. I have a Yates Merica on order and should be here tomorrow. Can't wait to try it. If it works well for me I may try a 921. Like the brass plate on your razor with the stainless steel. By the way Yates offers a discount for military active or retired. Have a great week. 👍🎅

@@OhioShaves I know he bought the Wet Shaving Club and manufactured all of the razors for them. From what i hear, the angle is preset on the winning razor (like the henson) and it is very efficient with fairly little blade feel

I just received my Yates BYOR. Out of 21 razors I own right now it is by far the best. I went with the H plate (middle aggressive). Certainly more blade feel than all my mild razors but WOW, what a razor. Thx for turning me into Yates. Jake is a great guy to deal with an a great business owner. I also bought the Winning and will be shaving with that tomorrow. 🪒🪒

Beautiful razor. For me an aggressive razor with fewer passes is the way to go. Also did you announce the razor company aluminium razor giveaway? It wasn't in that video.

This may be an unnecessary question but how is the blade rigidity in these razors? And since we’re here, how would you compare this razor to a Merkur 37c in eas of cutting through the beard?

They are much sharper and better than any cartridge razor you can buy from Gillette. Most people get 2 to 5 shaves out of each blade and then you throw them away. The cost of these edge razor blades are cheap compared to disposable razors. You might spend anywhere from $.05-$.50 per blade. The EH plate which I am using in this video is very efficient. You should have no problem going through a thick beard like I have. Me personally I don’t care for the 37C. I’m not big on slant Razors.

Great 2 pass razor. It shaves a bit steep as far as angles go. Comfortable for how efficient it is for me. I have all 3 plates with the “stubby” handle and they are all good. The H may be my favorite - good balance. H is more efficient than 6s(even 6r) and is smooth.
