1:37 Yaw-Yan is really a sport. The combative (aspect) is taught later. The first thing taught is (the) sport (aspect). The difference between "sport" and "combative": "Sport" has rules. Combat has no rules, anything goes. 2:04 Yaw-Yan started there in Quiapo. Till it spread to other provinces. Now, it has spread to other countries. It began with just two fighters, and then more and more, it spread. They were the ones who popularized Yaw-Yan in other places. 4:27 You know, improvisation is bad form. Before you do something, practice first. Thorough practice. That's the safety precaution. Don't recklessly execute something you haven't drilled. It's dangerous. Don't do anything you haven't even tried out yet. note: ora-orada "right away" in the context of fighting "instant" or "on-the-spot"; not "hourly" or "by the hour" Thumbs up please if you want international viewers to read this
3:52 this is a very poorly documented but highly effective kick, the Taekkyeoon gyechagi/inside kick or Taekwondo snapping in-out crescent. It contacts with the instep and is used at very close range. It's similar to a roundhouse except the force is the total opposite direction (going out, not going in). Most other martial arts have no response to this attack because it is not in their "movelist" or move vocabulary. It is checked by a low guard, but since it is delivered from close range, defenders seldom expect it. I have no idea how it found it's way to Yaw Yan.
Tanba Bunshinchi listen to me you idiot . Muay Thai was non existent in the philippines until a YAW YAN guy brought it here . Quit talking smack about Yaw yan idiot . You muay thai guys should be thankful that you're marti art developed here. There was no muay thai in our country before Emiliano Zapata brought it here .
Why not all those who use the name Yaw Yan donate to GM Nap Fernandez. When I go back to Manila next year, I surely will do so when I go to the Fervilleon, Yaw Yan Pasay gym. Thank you.

@@neththeobnoxioussponge8929 she practices sayaw ng kamatayan, they literally made her for the fillipinos yet got her fighting style name wrong somehow
i applied some fundamentals of Sayaw Ng Kamatayan in my training, the way they kick in an up to down motion really works, as if they're swinging a bolo machette at you haha. gotta love my countries Kickboxing
So basically you add high and back kicks to sport arnis in unarmed combat, also the arm moves is like you take out just the sticks and strike without them 🤔.
Martial Art better than Bokator(Cambodian Bloodsport) and Lerdrit(Military Muay Thai)... For me, Yaw-Yan is the most effective Kickboxing Martial arts in South East Asia... Yaw-Yan is best for me💙💛❤
