Your fabric journal came out fabulous!! I’ve make journals with some fabric but not all. It actually looks really sturdy which is what I’ve always been worried about. Absolutely beautiful, thank you for sharing
Your style is charming, entrancing, and graceful . The journal is so lovely, I love the side pocket pages. Thank you for inspiring us to “have a go”. I too, like some of your other subbies, would love to know how you sewed in your single pages. Maybe on that next one you have got there you’ll show us how 🤓😁😍
Absolutely beautiful! My poor little printer would balk, I think, at printing on the cloth, but I might give it a go after I get up the nerve. The last time I tried printing on something experimental I broke the printer & had to replace it. Had a BUNCH of cartridges so I got another one. Unfortunately. What a gorgeous journal you did. Thanks for sharing.
That is the loveliest fabric journal made out of just scraps that I have ever seen. You did a beautiful job on that Andrea and I just love it. Thank you for showing how and what you did. It's amazing!
Hi, This is really beautiful!! You can definitely sew !! Loved this and would love to see a tutorial on how you actually put the journal together. Thank you for sharing and well done your first try has been a sucess❤ Best wishes, Rae x
It's beautiful Andrea☺. I haven't a clue how to start one but I keep buying from yard sales etc and storing the goodies for that "some day"!!!! I think you need to be the one to show us beginners how it's done. Excited to see the finished booklet
This is beautiful!!!!! I think the sari sooo closure works well with that! To me, it has a very romantic feel when it’s the right color and that is!! Just gorgeous! Can’t wait to try printing on fabric!!
Andrea, it's official...you have pushed me over the edge, and turned me green. When you show your finished journal, would you talk about how you sewed the pages into signatures, then into the cover. Hugs and smiles, Carol
Hi Andrea. I would love to see it also. I have been collecting material for a while and I can also make my own lace. Since I started journaling a couple of months ago I am now on my 7th. Thank you for everythng xxx
Very beautiful. You did an amazing job with this journal. Thanks for sharing it while you are still working on it. It helps to see it unfinished. Can’t wait to see what all you do to it. Love it so far!
This so far is absolutely gorgeous. Your a true inspiration and I have many of your digi kits too. I’ve always loved these and wondered how they were made. I have bought many bits of lace and nets to be able to make one myself someday and you have definitely gave me plenty of inspiration. I’d love to see the end result and also more about how you put it altogether too. Can’t wait to see the finished results xx
What an absolutely beautiful journal, all the time and effort you have put into it is very noticeable. It’s so lovely, all of your fabric collage work, stitching and the lace is just perfect. Some journals you see, can be a little bit over the top, to each their own I always say😉, but your fabric journal is a perfect combination of it being lovely and useable as well with all the little tuck spots and envelopes, it is simply inspiring. Thank-you for sharing 🙏🌷
Beautiful! As I am watching my mind is thinking about what I would put in the pockets and so many different ideas. This is a beautiful Journal. Cannot wait to see the finished project! 🌺🌺🌺
Wow! Looks like you have conquered the sewing machine 😘 The first time I saw a fabric journal was when you showed us your birthday present from your sister. They are so beautiful. Thank you for sharing and also explaining how to print on fabric. I have an oldish Canon too so I am looking forward to trying this. Thanks again 🤗
Absolutely gorgeous!! You'd never know it was your 1st time!! Very lovely. I seen that technique awhile back for printing on fabric & purchased the repositionable adhesive & then got to scared to try it on my printer but u've pushed me to finally go for it!!! Lol TFS can't wait to see it when your finished!
What A GREAT project! l have been stashing bits and pieces for a while to do something like this. ! You did a fantastic job Andrea. You always inspire me and l thank you for that. Your the bestest!!!!!!
Oh Andrea, it’s soooooo beautiful!!!!! Can’t wait to see the finished book!!, Wonderful work, and guess what???. ........ you CAN definitely sew!!!!! Hugs xxx❤️😊
This is such a beautiful work of art, Andrea! And thank you for sharing the "printing on fabric" instruction. I have wanted to try this for so long but wasn't sure about it. Now is will try!!! ...Carol
Absolutely gorgeous journal already ♥️ I really do want to try printing on fabric but scared to ruin my printer ! I must be brave and get some spray to have a go. Xx
Faye Cook I don’t know how that happened, the only thing I can think of is that I chose a colour palette and sorted all fabrics that were soft and muted. Totally opposite to the boho one lol x
Hi Andrea, this journal is wonderfully amazing. I am so envious of your artistic eyes. Anyone can put snippets of fabric/lace on some fabric, but your artistic eyes creates something fantastic. Love it - will it be for sale when completed? Can I buy it? Did you use snippets from the bags I sent you? I thought I recognised a few bits!! Tfs 🙂
Edwina Kinch thank you I am going to keep this one as it’s my first but there will be others lol. Yes your snippets are part of it which really helped to make it. Thank you they were just perfect. Xx
Hi Andrea I have just had a coffee and something naughty to watch this. It is fantastic!!!!!!!! I have been on your Etsy store and bought some images that will look lovely on material. I think the pink envelope at the back is my favourite. Thank you for sharing. Just one question:- When you sewed all the layers together did you have the normal foot on the machine or a Walking foot? Hugs xxx Wendy
Hi Andrea, thank you for replying. I will have to get my machine out but not today I have a few hours journaling with the grandchildren. I purchased the Steampunk one for Osian and a nature one for Ruby. I then collected bits and bobs from my craftroom and put it all in a plastic container and off they went. Thank you for all your help and products. Somehow I lost my subscription with you and have re subscribed this morning. Hugs xxx Wendy
