Hello, Im 27 years old, Im from Mexico, I am a doctor and I just had a pulmonary embolism on February! Unfortunately, Yazmin increases the risk of developing BLOOD CLOTS and this can be MORTAL. Using BC pills for trearing acne is just absurd! BC pills have a lot of adverse reactions, you should get advice first. I repeat, I almost died beacuse of this pills.
Hi Sandra, I am so sorry for what happened to you. I was prescribed by my skin specialist doctor to treat hormonal acne, he didn't mention anything about risk of blood clots! If you watched my video and read my description, I did mention that I am not a health professional and I'm merely sharing my experience using it. I am going to pin your comment up so that viewers have a higher chance of knowing the risk alright? I hope you are feeling better now.
@@WendyVaz thank you very much, actually BC pills have many adverse efects, and it is really sad that users are not informed about them, a deep vein thrombosis or a pulmonary embolism in a young women without other risk factors but BC pills is really sad. Im feeling ok now :)
@@sandraacosta8783 Yea I kinda read up a bit, but I think because my intention was to treat my acne so I kinda overlooked them, thank you so much for taking your time to warn us though! Take care!
@@sandraacosta8783 Thanks I am thinking of taking this now and it's helpful to see your comments. I knew the risks and it's hard to figure out the risks and benefits since we dont really have good studies demonstrating the true risks.
im approaching my 3rd month of yaz and phewwww has it been a rollercoaster. my mood changes were so bad and i feel like i cried almost everyday the first month, the frustration is real. i guess im getting better at controlling them now. as far as the acne, mine looks pretty much the same maybe a little bit clearer but hardly any difference. i'm hoping the 3rd and 4th months is where i'll really see a change in my skin because i have had enough!! UPDATE: over a week into the 3rd month my face is clearing up soooo well. one of my cheeks is basically clear now and the other one has a few bumps !!!! obviously there is still left over scarring since i've been dealing with acne for over 4 years, but this is literally the best my skin has ever looked. i've even noticed a difference in my body acne, which i never got too much of but it's starting to clear up a bit as well. :))) im so happyyyyyy
I'm on yaz for a month now and been having headaches and heavy depression...lost 2 pounds on it and acne worsen but starts to go away now but my doctor said that it takes a month or 2 for your body to get use to it and I'm really hoping things get better from here on...thanks the video is helpfulxX
@@kiv_daniels The headaches and stuff stopped after a few weeks on it and it wasnt that bad it helped alot with acne and pain but I went off it a few months ago and I'm normal so.
@@kiv_daniels I would recommend it. After some time your body gets used to it and the headaches and depression stop and when I went off it I had no acne still so it helped
I just started Yaz a month ago and purging & pms are a huge side effects in the beginning but they slowly go away now I’m just hoping my acne gets better after this 🙏🏼 I’ll keep y’all updated
I'm starting Yaz so this was super helpful! I also subscribed, you have a great channel and I think it's important for us small creators to stick together! Keep it up 😊 xx
Oh I'm glad it helped Victoria. Fingers crossed that it'll work out well for you! And also, thank you so much for subscribing. It means so much to me!!! xxx
To the people in the thread, please check with your doctor before taking BC pills. You first need to determine which is the best type of medication your doctor recommends for your specific situation and medical history. Some people have hormonal acne, some because of PCOS, some because of stress, or eating dairy, or even eating sugar. There are side effects they should advise you of. PLEASE check with your doctor first.
Hey guys! So some of you might see on the internet Yas and Yasmin claiming to help cure PMDD which is basically extreme irritability during the PMS time (severe PMS). PLEASE do your research! I tried Yas for a month and just like she says ^^ literally the 3rd week I started waking up at 4am to panic attacks which has NEVER happened to me. I would have chest tightness and anxiety. During the day I felt super emotional and anxious. Also during my period on Yas I would be severely nauseous and have the worst migraines. What ever you do- if you have a problem you want to fix talk to an MD before making the switch. I don’t have acne so I was trying to cure PMDD. Which is better cured by SSRIs during the PMS time of your cycle any way!
I also took yasmin for about 6 months, unfortunately yasmin and some of the implant birth controls are linked to a condition called psuedotumor cerebri. I ended up developing it despite it being rare. Make sure you do your research to find out which one is right for you! :)
I stopped taking yaz after my boyfriend convinced me to stop it and it was the worst decision of my life. My face broke out like crazy.. I am back on it and I hope the acne clears up soon :(
@@Djessop1983 it's getting a lot better but I have a lot of red pigmentation left and scars.. I am currently on a skincare routine which seems to be helping to reduce the scars and redness nd I wear sunscreen daily. Get on it as soon as possible because it will take time for it to work again.
I bought the yaz and awaited my period, but I found a topical remedy that is working for me. I was really amazed at the results I got so I did not bother to take the yaz. 🙂
I have pco and my doctor suggest me to take yaz pills for 3 mos. I heard a lot of negative reaction about this pills, it makes me scared if im gonna still continue to take it but thanks your blog seems its okay! Thanks a lot.
I'm on YAZ for hormonal balance now in the first month I've realized my skin have been clear like clear and 2weeks in I started period until today .hoping for the best
At the age of 38 - Yasmin was the only new generation pill that worked for me! I honestly had new energy, could go on hikes and holidays during my bleed week. It was heaven sent! Even had more of a sex drive. Granted, I know its not fir everyone but I enjoyed my 6 months on it.
@@genie121 I’m so happy that it works for you! I’m still on the pill as it helps me a lot in maintaining my cycle and knowing what to expect each month. I think I need to make an updated video about this!
I'm taking a form of Yaz called Seyda. It's a cheaper version of Yaz but the same pill. I've been on it for a little over a month. I don't experience mood swings and I actually lost a few pounds. I'm not implying that the pill makes you lose weight but I certainly didn't gain weight on the pill. Also, my exercise and diet hasn't changed either. I've had terrible acne for 6 years and my skin is almost clear! I've never seen it look this clear before. I'm not trying to be so optmisstic about it because I've only been taking it for a month and I'm waiting to see if any of those negative side effects will kick in 😭 fingers crossed 😂
I have a severe acne about my mouth.. jawline and chin.. OMG.. also its so hard to loose weights.. I've been fasting for months already and not loosing any pound.. my OB recommended this.. I am taking this for 1 week.. I haven't seen any improvement yet.. I have research about its risk.. and it scares me about blood clots
So I’m on week 2 I have just had a break out but I think that’s from wearing a mask and makeup sweating all day) other than than my skins been completely clear the whole 2 weeks x
I've been on Yas for quite a few months now and I get the absolute mood swings!! It's so annoying. I get sad really easily and are alot more irritable. But yes it does help with acne and reduces the weight gained due to using the pill
No I actually lost weight while taking Yasmin compared to feeling bloated 24/7 when I took lo loestrine fe which is the lowest dose birth control pill available. Just watch what you eat and workout you won’t gain weight dw that’s also the #1 issue for me too.
So I took yaz for only one month,my acne cleared up in 3 weeks, but I started feeling this warmth and pain in my leg so I stopped taking it out of fear that it might be a blood clot. I noticed a small amount of weight loss too which I didn't want, I had no issues with emotions while I was on it
@@aiyyoi this can be DVT, this is an adverse reaction, it can be MORTAL, stop taking this pills just because someone in RU-vid tells you its ok to take for acne.
I had some flare up, and the bumps seems to me lower. I'm only on my second day dose. So will see what's going to be the 30th day. I want to go on my vacation and see mom. She'll be freaked out if she sees me with flare ups. So I'm trying to look less stressed, calm and happy looking and not stressed out about life school and work and all other shit. 😭😭
Do you think you quit your job because of the yaz pill? Did it make you depressed and not feel motivated to do anyting? I strated taking yaz for acne two weeks ago and notice I have the urge to quit my job...super weird
I’ve been prescribed YAZ for weight loss, I’m already a bit on the bigger side so I’m really scared for weight gain as I’ve read it does cause it . Has anyone who has taken yaz know does it really help lose weight ?
thank you so much! this helped me so much and I want to know if you could plz pray for my roommate, her name is Rebekah and she's starting yaz soooo yazzzzzz
I’m on the second week of this pill and feel extremely depressed and anxious out of nowhere. I don’t know if this is from pill but I hope I can get through this bc it’s awful
hey! my nurse told me that depression may worsen on the pill, but it should not be ignored. if It continues, and you are sure that it is caused by the pill, consider getting another prescription or method of birth control. I am also on Yaz and my mood hasn't been impacted as much as I expected, so it is different for everyone. I hope it works out for you, sorry this is happening!
hi i'm 16 years old, and i've been on yaz for over a month now. my doctor told me its supposed to help my acne and weight loss. i started off on the depo provera shot which gave me some severe reactions so i stopped taking it & switched to the yaz pill. the pill helps with my acne thankfully. my doctor also told me yaz is supposed to help with weight loss, but i've gained 10 pounds since i started. i dont know if this is normal, but i've also been experiencing increased hunger, and painful periods. (no spotting) i started yaz hoping it would help ease my menstrual crampings but so far, the pains have been worse than normally. is anyone else experiencing that?
Some people get your symptoms. Talk to your doctor about this, RU-vid is not a great source for medical information so take everything(even this) with a grain of salt.
Nina x It took a bit longer for my acne to start clearing while on yaz, it took about 7-8ish months. Don't give up on it and make sure you're taking at the same time everyday and drink lots of water.
@@katiehopmans5854 I came off it because it caused issues with my blood pressure so I didn’t have chance to see results. Funny enough though I started washing my face with cetaphil and ditched harsh cleansers a few weeks ago, so far it’s clearing up lovely for the first time in 6 years
@@Gilliebeany they are no way the same yaz treat pmdd and acne and has shorter periods and helps with weight loss yasmin just treats heavy periods and regularity
Bena Dacumos I'm not a medical expert but it's possible that it is, it happened to me too. It took 2-3 rounds of the medication (2-3 months) to see real results for me.
Hi, i'm using it for 2days. My acne dried a bit, and it's good for me. The main problem with this pill is that, it makes me drowsy. I don't know if this is a normal reaction, but I really don't like it. Haha also, I am always hungry. Hope I'll not gain weight. Btw, thanks for this vlog.
You're welcome April, it's my pleasure! The drowsy part sounds really weird, maybe you should really ask for advice from a doctor? Hormonal pills take time or the body to adjust, sometimes even 2-3 months. I really hope it works well for you though! Good luck!
hi i have endometriosis.. currently on yaz pills on my 3rd box.. but recently having light menstruation.. my obgyne advise to continue the pills.. is it normal to have menstruation during yaz pills? but im only taking the active pills and discard the last 4tablets
hi I have endometriosis too. I have checked up every 3 months,I'm taking now Jasmin pills, usually in taking it must be continuous, don't skip after you get back to OB after 3 months. after 21 days of taking the Jasmin just continue another pack, don't skip. no menstruation in that 3 months to see the effect of pills to your endometriosis. it's normal to have little spot sometimes.
I’m having a similar experience. Been taking Yaz consistently for nearly 2 months now, skipped the non active pills sooooo, I shouldn’t be bleeding. But I am. Very heavy flow and extreme period cramps. I’m very confused..l these cramps have been going on for 10 days now 😢
How to used yasmin in first time?example if your menstruation start saturday yiu must be start at saturday not monday?and its ok this used if loss weight.?please can you answer.thank you
My gynaecologist gave me the first month if yaz for free but today i went to buy my 2nd month of yaz and they gave me 3 months worth and i balled my eyes out because it cost $89 AUD. I had no choice but to get the 3 months worth. It really sucked. Now I'm poor for the next 2 weeks.
@@WendyVaz oh thank gosh I got scared because I have to go on the pill full-time & skip periods completely because of endometriosis and I chose Yasmin because I've heard good things ❤️❤️❤️ thank you!
The action of birth control is making the vaginal mucus thicker making it difficult for sperm movement, and cheat the body that it's pregnant when it's not.. I'm on the second day, hopefully I'm not gonna get all that emotional. 😂😆🤣
My gynecologist said that Diane 35 is stronger than Yasmine as well as they both have different ingredients. Yasmine has something called drospirenone which is not in other common contraceptive pills...so I've learnt through research.
@ stella mariz. I stared taking Yaz in July this year, tell you what. My ance has gotten really bad. By the end of this month will be my 3rd month on the pill. I hear, it takes a bit longer for your skin to clear. Let's give it until the 4th month. I think then, it will be safe to see your dermatologist.
Wendy, I appreciate your video and enjoyed it, but please be careful... you haven't claimed to be a medical professional and you have recommended people to take it... that could be considered medical advice. If someone takes the pills because of your recommendation and ends up with bad results, the responsibility could be on you, and I'm sure that's not something you want. Be careful and good luck ❤️
Tiffany Liu From my personal experience I lost about 5 pounds. My doctor told me that it's normally to gain a little weight or lose a little weight or even stay the same weight. It just differs from person to person.
I saw another video where a girl went up an entire cup size in a few weeks- could just be related to your hormones changing? Couldn’t hurt to ask your doctor
My sister and I are on the pill, I just started this week, while she had been it it for over 2 years. Her boobs went from a B cup to D. I think this is normal because the pill contains estrogen which then increases the size of your breasts. I’m not complaining haha!
