overall its not as unbalanced as i thought it was, most of the "op moves" that ppl complain about are blockeable, the nerf it needs is in the dmg numbers which are insanely high and uzu needs to make it so when u use moves in full form u cant just untransform and use them in half form or vice versa, thats disgusting af.
The amount of balancing this rework needs aside, SM looks amazing now, my favorite rework so far. Plus, most of the moves are blockable, so that’s good. If we get some new stands in the future, I hope to see some more stone ocean stands, like kiss, diver down, foo fighters, and maybe weather report, but I want the other three more. Foo fighters would make for a great third shooter style stand and since FF is both the stand and the user, having a stand barrage like WA’s could work, unlike 6p.
@@shkkrimp7344 That’s an absolute lie. 1.9 on a fully transformed dino barrage?? That’s the same power as D4CLT *with* it’s attack power upgrades. There are no destructive power upgrades for SM.
@@Keyern It’s a dinosaur with small arms and is also a human. And anyway, it’s not like YBA, let alone jojo in general, are at all accurate to real life. After all, velociraptors didn’t have “Dio” written all over them.
SM was the reason that I played started playing YBA years ago and I'm finally happy it got a rework. And I'm pretty happy with it all things considered
Before rework was better. It also had a move, that was called M1 clicks. So you needed to basically click your LMB which did 4 damage back then, and that was an insane combo, when you clicked this move 4 times in a row.
Still idk how killing someone with this stand summons a dino WITH stand, funny to see this little dinosaur trying to slice me using anubis with his little hands
Even though this stand is undeniably op right now, it’s definitely going to be my favorite rework until the Sticky Fingers rework comes out. The moves are wonderfully thought out and put together, while they all seem to feel smooth to play with. Probably the most well cared for rework we’ve seen yet, imo
also u cant use any sort of grab on fossilisation like the oblivion death or life drain or things like this, unlike the vaporization... so indeed is more balanced
You can’t say x is more balanced than y if they can both be used simultaneously. Ever heard of SM vamp? Vapo counter > fossilize > dino army > zombie creation > tail whip > oblivion of death > laser eyes > full dino mode + dino dash (confirming off the huge ass AoE)?
Feel like only buff and nerf is first make it where when using the c it don't make you go forward and slash at them and make dino form c jump distance shorter and a wind up human form are balance since can't do much if they hold f right even if it like 5 sec like counter bait them out before making dumb choice it like sm bait his y out first tail whip have a wind up can be block and dino baby can only be make from the x just hold f cuz it has a wind up and you can see it
Old sm you could run faster then any other stand so I would play tag with friends that sometimes would and wouldn’t use sm cuz the speed still applys even if the stand it not on
Bro ive been a scary monster user for like 3 months i think because diego is one of my fav sbr characters and im so glad that they finally reworked him
only real OGs remember back when SM first released joining any server would result in constantly lagging cuz there would always be atleast 1 scary monsters
My only complaint would be how... abysmal the camera handling is. Like when barraging or doing literally anything, the camera just starts going ham and it's a bit annoying
its meh for me, i really miss the bite and the Speed Increase, and the temporary dino form is ew the old SM was useful for me in SBR, since u wouldnt need the horses
I remember being sonic with old scary monster if the lag did not affect me Like fr every time i summon scary monster am slower than everybody i have to put max speed points and in scary monster to match people speed with the stand
Just keep in mind it has two 5 second stuns, one for each form. Meaning that if you stun it in half dino form, get a good combo off, go to dino form, get a combo off and stun again you can take a stock easily
@gamercentral2417 Are you joking? The barrage finisher is one of the easiest to parry attacks in the game, and they usually don't have all that high damage. Telling people to use them is almost as bad as telling them to barrage first.
Ong you do NOT need to upgrade fossilization for those 5 secs and since it's blockable, they'll probably block it a second time you dash back at them but whatever floats yur boat
I like more old SM bc inv spec attacks and items if you first pick in your hands item and after it transform+no piano and funny bc you inf dinosaur and if creators add skins for scary monsters last hope now dead
