this kinda feels like an operation health 2.0 but its the whole year. like they are purposely getting all these reworks and remasters and getting the game in a solid state before hitting year 10.

Honestly 2 fully new ops and 2 reworks might seem low. But the amount of QOL and fun things is amazing

Dokkabei has been almost untouched for years, all they’ve really done is give her the gonne 6 and take her frags. I don’t get how she’s now magically overpowered when she hasn’t been an issue in the past few years.

The operator voucher becoming R6 credits is nice

they don’t mean they’re going to put the xim users across platform in pc lobbies, they’ll only put them into lobbies with other xim detected users. meaning it’ll also take longer for them to find a game as well. it’s not allowing people to buy a console and xim to play against pc players

Cant help it but when he said that they know good hiding spot is difference between win or lose i instantly remembered every hiding spot they removed over the years so hiding spots are not that much worth it if its too strong they will remove it.

One small feature I’m very happy with is the trajectory pre-visualization. It makes the game so much more accessible to new players (especially when other games have already been doing this), and helps prevent that annoyance factor of missing an important projectile spot because you didn’t pixel practice your swing and timing.

When they said a PC cheater is banned and can’t play on that account, it makes it sound like what Fortnite does (IIRC) where for cheaters they get a hardware ban.

@kudos I think Greek Operator could be Kure Galanos, since she used to worke with Gerald "Deimos" Moriss and she influced Glaz's Scope. And for the new weapon, I think she might have either a new Sniper Rifle or a new DMR since she used to be a sniper.

Disagree with Kudo's dislike of the Mousetrap change. This is literally the 'Taste of your own medicine' style treatment. I was a ps4 plat that moved to PC due to XIM, and ended up dealing with PC cheaters after getting into the higher elo. You have to tell me the downside of this outright. You buy a PC for better specs, and the XIM is a horrible spoof compared to actual computers. Nobody's going to willingly bring a XIM into an actual PC lobby unless they're masochists. The quality of spoofer device you would have to buy in order to get the consistency of a non-edited device would just be the price of a PC, making your brain smoothbore.

Good job smooth brain....Classification for a recruit and a rework as a new operator when they had the resources to spend it on both a rework and new operators. People like you talked them down from 8 ops per year to 4 ops per year and now made it 2. You make their job so much easier to pump out less content each season.

Ive noticed that R6 mobile has a ton of stuff that was hypothetical for pc/console, and now they’re implementing certain skins and mechanics! Not a bad thing, siege mobile is actually almost spot on, and gives a nostalgic feeling (with stuff like bullet holes)

The riot shield rework was made specifically to set the ground mechanics around black beard’s shield. Most likely going to be ballistic glass as well as have a “latch port” that opens for the barrel of a handgun. Going to have tighter than usual hip-spread. Black beard will be the only shield operator than can shoot while behind the shield. Now this is the trade off of having your shield be shattered like Mira’s windows. Could be done by a melee, explosives or after the major health pool of durability is dropped with gunshots (that will be the suppression effect other operator receive as they take gun shots) If the shield is shattered, black beard will still be able to fire but he will be shooting blind or he has the option to ADS like the other shield ops, giving him a clear line of sight but the trade off of being exposed.

Honestly I’m glad there aren’t new maps very often most of the recent ones I either hate or struggle to learn. The way I play games and most people do statistically is I take breaks and play multiple games throughout the year almost nobody fully plays siege and every time I get board of the game and take a break I come back to a new map and 1-2 new characters this is extremely off putting and makes me instantly dislike the experience. I can easily learn the operators but since I’m constantly buying new characters I’m always out of renown since I take these breaks and never get a bunch saved up. But maps are a pain to learn

Them talking about wanting to do balance changes quicker and respond to the meta faster just to have us wait another 3 months for some near-spreadsheet balancing... I don't complain that often, but I don't see why they are waiting to implement the Fenrir and Solis changes. Implementing balance changes asap is how to actually make balancing more responsive. Spreadsheet balancing shouldn't be a "feature" of a season. If they were to implement these proposed changes for s2 now, they would have more time to come up with a response to the meta that emerges from those changes

I really like their focus about how to anti toxic things. In my pov i’ve been play r6 since Year 2,So when they update about reputation thing. I think r6 is really good example for anti - toxic social game on FPS now. When u got more good reputation u get. random people that has teamwork skill more than before, good communicate,sportmanship That’s really very good.

New american operator could be the guy deimos killed, didn't see it happen and in most of siege, we see the deaths happen. Azami's boss, Harry, Ram's sister etc... but we don't see deimos' teammate being killed. We only hear the shot... that could be a very interesting story. Deimos and the keres legion have the upper hand on rainbow but then he comes in and helps rainbow win...

Damn i never expected that pulse will ever grow hair but at least he can grow it from his jaw. I cant wait for pulse remaster

As someone that struggles with map knowledge, no new maps is not too big of an upset for me

I really like 1.5 on attackers... And im terrified by all the defender acogs. "We Make attack better" But in the same sentence give many defense ops zoom scopes

My only concern with this is that the reputation system seems bugged. I was consistently lowered despite not shooting a teammate or destroying a friendly gadget.

I have to wait 9 months for Year 9 Season 3 for better Mousetrap when I can’t even go a game without facing at least 2 XIM players currently :/

I’m happy for no maps for the season and couple of new operators, as long as they back up the talk on cheaters. A new operation health season would be good, looks like this is pretty close happy with the new season.

I'm a little bit annoyed because they said they're gonna go from 8 to 4 new operators so that they can do the reworks (remasters are basically just real reworks) of problematic ops...they never really fully reworked an operator besides Tachanka and now they changed the name to "remastered" to make it seem like it's something bigger than just a basic rework and use up 2 of the 4 remaining operator slots to implement them... Sure we already have enough operators but I (and I assume many other players) would still like to see my country (Switzerland) being represented in Siege...with only 2 new ops from now on (and the fact that countries already in the game can be chosen again), I can more or less say goodbye to that wish. Also it means even less new playable content. Sure all the quality of life changes sound great but they're nothing that's gonna keep me hyped for a whole season because I won't be able to actively use them

They need to sort ranked out, I’m fed out of starting in copper and coming up against emeralds and golds and never progressing

Them getting punished by, being forced to play in the lobbies they should be in anyway. As well as losing access to ranked? That is a good thing. Console players aren't inherently "cheating" . They are combining 2 input systems. Using the AA that is already given to controller players. But combining that with the accuracy and responsiveness of a MnK. Them being detected and made to play in the MnK lobbies (Like they should be already) and lose access to ranked? That is a fair punishment.

Genuinely glad they’re slowing down the release rate of new operators. A very future-thinking decision that will end up hugely paying dividends for the game’s longevity and the validity of competition without a constant inundation of new and unbalanced operators being thrown into the mix

Please let us keep Recruit’s current uniform; he’s one of the few operators that has an actual SWAT type uniform like how Tom Clancy originally intended before Ubisoft ruined everything.

I'll be honest, no new maps is fantastic news. Remembering all the map layouts and call-outs is soo difficult now that I can't spend as much time on the game, I'm glad they're not complicating it further.

Hopefully they fix the bug where you get disconnected out of a ranked game and can’t reconnect at all. Feels dumb to get bad for something you can’t control

And ive tried with a friend, now that will be 2 weeks that he his actively using mnk every single game (on an alt account, obviously) and still no lag imput. I know they are working on it, but damn, work harder. I know that Playstation has a new thingy were they detect other devices whenever you plug it in your console, but xim's and stuff already have a way to bypass that. Im really hoping the guys at ubi nails mousetrap THIS TIME, cuz i aint waiting another year for another shitty anti-cheat. Edit: At least I'm happy, they acknowledged (for good) that they can't leave behind console players. And thank God they will do 2-month anti-cheat communication (wich they should've done since the beginning)

I was playing since Operation Black Ice. Ive seen the updates and over time we got bullet proof cameras and shields with glass.

kudos, its putting the ximmers on the same playing field. they only played with xim for the sole fact that they could shit on controller players, with the addition of ximmers into pc lobbies, it discourages them from continuing to use it and revert back to controller or go out to buy a pc.
