I really just do not get the Yeat Ian comparison outside of a very vague preliminary level that a bunch of other people also can qualify under. They don’t even use the same type of beats they hardly have the same vocal effect as Yeat’s is a way more exaggerated with effects… Lol they’re not even the same racial background. Like I’m seriously missing this similarity everyone is seeing… Also I mean if we really want to go there honestly a lot of what Yeat does is descending from 2017-18 Weiland. To which he admits. Weiland literally gave him his preset… I don’t view that as copying though. I just hate the way y’all have no differentiation between copying and inspiration in general. Like really all of these artists that are being “copied” for example let’s say Osamason “copying” Carti aren’t really copying them and ultimately the “copied” artist also got inspired by people… I mean the entire A$AP MOB was so heavily inspired by SGP’s aesthetics honestly especially Carti with WLR and the “vamp” aesthetic he put forth. Just using that as an example because I don’t even see that as copying either, he was inspired and did his own thing with the idea. But regardless of that I don’t even see any with this… I think people just like to do this to upcoming underground artists to box them into a certain lane.
