After several teasers and leaks, adidas has now officially unveiled its Black Reflective YEEZY Boost 350 V2, which will be available on June 6 at a number of retailers worldwide. This marks the fifth YEEZY release in June alone, as the Black Reflective This isn’t the first time that adidas and YEEZY have utilized reflective technology, as a reflective static colorway dropped in December of 2018. As the hi-vis colors come out for the summer, adidas seems to be taking an alternative route for its color inspo with the YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 “Black Reflective” and “Black Static Reflective.” Respectively, the photo-reflective iteration is trading at a higher price than its matte counterpart on StockX. From a cursory view, it would seem that both editions appear aesthetically analogous to one another. Each features an all black colorization that works its way from the BOOST sole housing to splay across the Primeknit upper and laces. Even the semi-transparent stripe and the red trim on the heel tab are shared. However, what separates each shoe is the embedding of a 3M material that gives off a photo-reflective finish when exposed to light. This release comes dressed in a stealthy all-Black color scheme. The shoe features shades of Black and Grey hues throughout its Primeknit upper atop a matching Black Boost midsole. Other details includes reflective laces and Three Stripes along the inside lining. After much anticipation, YEEZY enthusiasts were finally able to shop the adidas YEEZY Boost 350 V2 via an official release yesterday. Coming in a triple black design, the new addition to the adidas YEEZY line arrived in the familiar sleek shape with a textured midsole, Primeknit upper, and translucent strip. The only pop of color to be seen came from red stitching on the back pull-tab, while additional texture comes on the directional weaving of its laces. Unsurprisingly, the kicks came in very limited quantities, which goes some way to explaining the steep resale price up to $ 1,500. That said, the classic all black reflective colorway is sure to be held up as one of the hottest releases from the collaborative line to date, so you’d be wise not to risk losing out if you took an L on release day. adidas’ pipeline is looking chock full of Ye right now as they continue down a road constructed right of their many upcoming Yeezy Boost 350 v2 colorways. While the standard variant is set to release just days after, the “Black Reflective” has been confirmed to officially release today, June 5th, with a surprise early-morning drop throwing dedicated fans through the ringer. Much more limited than past schemes, the shimmering pair has mostly seen raffle only drops by boutiques across the globe, with lucky winners yet to see the results of their labor. The addition of the glimmering thread to its darkly tinted Primeknit is most definitely a welcome one, paving the way for what may be a long-running series down the road, but if you find yourself looking to keep things a bit more toned down, be sure to head over to the store list for the less shiny Yeezy Boost 350 v2 “Black Reflective".
