I love this scene but it surprised me to hear that it's what she said since in the French version she says "What? Do you want to wait for the bus?" and when Natasha is struggling with the car she says "do you have your driver's licence?". It's funny to see how different it is from one country to another!
I would've loved that Nat and Bucky had a history together in the MCU like in the comics. So then Yelena an him could have mourn her together, as the three of them have so much in common!
That's 100% me in my family, my brother and I watched this movie, and he literally said to me, “Scarlett I am changing your name to Yelena this is literally you every day to me” We are twins we HAVE to do everything with him (Hey thanks dad)
Best part is it wasn’t originally part of the script. Florence was making fun of the ridiculous poses and mocking them, the writer heard it and said it needed to go in
@@breeesplanada8528 I mean, don't get me wrong, I love extra pockets, but Liefeld's pouches are just waaay too much. Now I wonder if his depiction of Black Widow's anatomically disproportionate. 😨
I'm sad because this is Nat's last appereance but knowing that she passed the baton to Yelena makes it a little bit easier...she's a great character, I can't wait to see her in the future
Idk if it's true that she "passed the baton", yelena's character it's very different to what natasha used to represent as an Avenger but we'll just have to wait and see if she really becomes the new black widow or if she takes a different path in thunderbolts
i honestly thought i was gonna hate her character but who was i kidding its florence pugh, yelena was the highlight of the movie *edit* - Ok, first of all, i've never gotten 1.5 likes on a post within, like, 24 hrs, so thanks, i suppose? secondly, i feel like i should explain, i didn't mean that i thought i'd _despise_ her character from the trailers, but i thought they were going to make her a conceited, too cocky, semi comic relief with no personality character. Admittedly I didn't watch that many trailers, only two, and i may have speculated a bit much because i was very anxious for the film. I mean, i've been waiting for a solo widow movie since i was twelve! That was over a decade ago. But i do love ms. Pugh's films and her acting, so yeah. Just to reiterate, yelena was so good, i stan 100%, can't wait for her future mcu endeavours.
I wha soo hyped for hier but i really hope she whas less serious then in the comics and she whas soo good and funny marvel really did a great job *florece ofc*
She plays Russian superbly. And it's not just the accent. Intonation, behavior, a mixture of sarcasm and innocence. Excellent. I think it's entirely the merit of the actress.
I know your joking, but the face Danny makes after condemning Christian to burn to death, is very similar to the attitude of the mind controlled widows, so thats kinda of fun
@@callumrangan1061 it's kinda like feeling a mixture of satisfaction and dread. It was kinda both cathartic yet there is still something heavy looming over your head.
@@loonylupin5126 No. Killing Eve has two main characters. One of them is Villanelle, a Russian assassin with a similar accent and with pretty similar personality when it comes to jokes and being childish. She's fun to watch, though her jokes can get more mean-spirited compared to Yelena. Florence is in Little Women and Midsommar though, but if you're a fan you've seen those probably.
@@luckyhazard156 nothing bro but i would find it funny but because i'm a gentleman i would laugh if they left the store atleast but i'm still a gentleman bro😁
@@cram2979 The ones you didn't mention are definitely a tier below, but I still enjoyed them. Melina was cool, Agatha had a brilliant performance but the character still needs developing, and Monica has potential. Sylvie I disagree, really enjoyed her.
@@cram2979 Ah I get the actions. On one hand yes the Kang variant was doing what he did for the greater good, but on the other hand, he had been punning innocent timelines for millions of years including her own. That hatred just can't be forgotten, and hey on the brighter side what she did is giving us some crazy awesome stories to look forward to.
Funnier when you find out the "poser" joke was actually Florences way of teasing Scarlett and the writer liked it and included it in the script while they were already filming! Florence is brilliant.
Yelena's obsession for that vest and pockets was my most favourite part. The way she talks about it and give it away to Nat thinking she liked it is just gold🤣
@@xxcris20xx nor was I, like he was legit the lamest avenger. But from what I've heard it's basically him fighting assassins from the yakuza, cartels, triad, mafia and others from when he was ronin.
@@himum3429 you should see Arrow show I never thought I am going to like A show where main hero is Archer and I am going to like it so yeah I am waiting to see Hawkeye
@@shaimazaffar4726 but thats more a critique of the movie, not the character. Personally, i felt this should have been marketed as a family movie, like Mitchell vs the machines. Everyone learns something, and theres no focus on one character.
@@shaimazaffar4726 Nat wasn't a sidekick in this movie. This was her story from beginning to end. Maybe she should been the one who killed Dreykov. Mel, Yel, and Alexi are all sidekicks to Tash story. She was the one who saved the rest of the Widows around the world and Tasky.
I think what makes the character special is that we know her childhood back story and saw how she grew up as a normal kid. And now we see that side of her meshed with the trained assassin side of her. It gives her complexity and makes her more human. If all we knew was that she was an assassin, then we'd feel less sympathy towards her, and would be perplexed by her moments of humanity. But because we see her whole story, we don't take her too seriously.... And she even adds to the humanity of her fake family who's really her real family. She was the innocents in the family when they were young. They all sorta knew it was fake, but she was the only one who believed it, and so she sorta was the glue for them and it shows in the film. Very powerful stuff.
They really made a good decision to take Florence. The range this woman has, from midsommar to little women to black widow. Wow, just wow. She's great. Edit:she also cooks really good.
Florence Pugh has thoroughly convinced me that I need to make sure to see every Marvel movie after this in the theaters because the audience laughing at her lines is the best part.
@@g.t2231 I think it was cool how 'Drakov's Daughter' (mention in the first Avengers movie) was supposedly dead but was Taskmaster all along used as his instrument for revenge.
After watching the movie she is now surely like one of my favorite characters but I do low key feel bad for Scarlett bc she finally got her own movie and everyone is talking about Florence.
