I believe your explanation is correct. Security effects trigger (*edit: rather activate*) before any static effects on the field. That's why deletion effects in security can stop BT12 Takuya from gaining memory. Shadowseraphimon only procs after the security effect, but before dp is compared.

Just a small correction but Security effects **activate** before any other effects. All effects for a card being removed from security trigger when the card is revealed and go into a pending state but according to Bandai Security effects never enter pending and go straight from trigger to activation and thus always go off first.

@@amateurishauthor2202I don't understand how a Magnamon X checking a Gaia force in security wouldn't be able to protect itself just because of this rulling of the security effect triggering first, wouldn't magna x be able to respond to the destruction with its effect?

Do you have to use ShadowSeraphi’s effect? Or is it optional? But I believe you are right where Crimson Blaze would activate first (not deleting Were), then ShadowSeraphi effect. Nice matches nonetheless.

ShadowSeraphi is mandatory unfortunately. Also he is correct in that security effects go off before "when a card is removed from security" effects
