Bill it works like a charm EVERY TIME for me! I even use a tiny amount of gas on fire ant nest too. You only need a few tablespoons of gas sprinkled over a fire ant mound and the fumes will wipe them out.

I'm just glad they didn't nail me. At least they became famous movie stars before their demise.

Long time no hear friend! I hope all is good in your neck of the woods. Yeah I was REAL LUCKY that I realized they were there or they would have lit me up before I even knew what was happening.

@@flash001USA Yup, it has been a while - been soooo busy, or buzzy, down here. Glad you saw them, before they saw you, for sure :) .

They won't come out of their nest at night especially if it's a ground nest. There is an exception to that statement. If you live in an older house with old style wooden windows and they have nested in the wall, the vibration in the wall from the physical act of opening a window will drive them out at night. Been there, lived that, done that...

I knew there was something funny that I forgot to mention in my last reply. I have a friend who had a nest next to his mailbox and years ago with him being young and not so smart he decided to take my advise "lol" that he could stick the opening of a plastic Coke 2 Liter bottle with it's label peeled off of it so he could easily see inside of the bottle into the nest hole and that they would fly into the bottle where he could capture them by letting the bottle fill up and capping it. It sort of worked until they came out of their back door entrance but he was actually able to stand there for a few minutes and the bottle did start to fill up with yellow jackets before they wised up. He got stung twice before he backed off. I actually pulled the car up next to the nest where I had a safe birds eye view in the safety of my car while he did this stunt and yes, it was funny as hell!
