maan back then Rocky was the freshest shit out there, idk i kinda miss those times when i first heard of him. the entire A$AP MOB, and especially him was just so different from all the mainstream bullshit.
Them niggas was a whole vibe. But looking back at things... It was more there aesthetic that had us in a hypnosis. Fly Harlem niggas that wore designer and fucked with European acts. They were fly, dope could rap and had a nice marketable name, they were the new New York. But tbh only A$AP Rocky could rap. Ferg was always overrated to me, YAM$ was the boi and the rest was... was just there. A decade later Nast finally getting his look.
@@MashinLA_03 I understand what you're saying, the general public can sleep on a song, but as long it's recognized somewhere then the song can gain a loyal fanbase. I found the song by watching a MV countdown on a music channel back in the day. I guess this song was played at maybe one of the parties I went to back in the day, that's why I spoke from my experience about how underrated the song was among the people I hungout with.
You could tell A$AP was ahead of everyone else on this track. From his verse, to his part in the video, to the models, and the clothes. Rocky really changed shit up if we're being honest. Everyone else was playing catch up.
People underestimate Fat Joe... He is honestly one of the few rappers who was relevant in the early 90's and managed to maintain and get more successful through years.
who else noticed that rocky threw up a "C" when he said "soo woo" and a "B" when he said "true blue". Now i understand that "Call me Joey i'm a Bada$$"
I remember when this first dropped 🔥‼️ Ten years later and this still Go 🔥‼️ Lil Wayne Killed that Hook & ASAP Rocky's Verse Fire & Montana and fat joe Did there thang too 🔥‼️💯 #thisthatyellowtapeshit
