I just love this music. There are so many bands around in the pop punk area but i haven't found anything like this. Yellowcard are among my absolute heroes in music. These guys are fantastic musicians and give this genre a more serious touch - it needs that, at least for me. So many bands don't go far enough in songwriting and leave it at too easy songs. Nothing against easy songs. But this one kills all the average out there and it's not even claiming to be superior but it is. That's how I feel about this song and some other music these guys have written.
I took a flight, headed north I wasn't waiting anymore And there I was, hoping high If I could only make you mine I was safe in my fortress alone Then you came and tore it all down I wanted to show you the depth of this dream The one where I see you and fall finally But you're like the winters that you've always known Warm on the inside while I sleep in the snow I took a flight, headed home And maybe now we'll never know But I would lose everything If it would bring you back to me I was safe in my fortress alone Then you came and tore it all down I wanted to show you the depth of this dream The one where I see you and fall finally But you're like the winters that you've always known Warm on the inside while I sleep in the snow I've always run right through the moments that count But somehow with you I slowed down And whatever happened that drove you away I know now I can't make you stay I wanted to show you the depth of this dream The one where I see you and fall finally But you're like the winters that you've always known Warm on the inside while I Wanted to show you all of my dreams Things that I buried and no one could see But you're like the winters that you've always known Warm on the inside while I sleep in the snow
Don't you hate it when someone makes you a promise that they won't ever leave you, then only a few months later decides that maybe they should break that promise? Well that's is what this song reminds me of...
the lyrics...man,,the lyrics are freakin awesome...im surprised theres even a dislike...well its a good to know that only 2 people dont know anything about "music...
Hey everyone this may sound like a crazy idea but here it goes, If I get to meet Yellowcard at Warped Tour this year I'm going to ask Ryan if he can write the line "I wanted to show you all of my dreams, things that I buried that no one could but your like the winters you've always known warm on the inside while I sleep in the snow" and then go out and get that tattooed on me
I don't get why there's so much complaining about A Vicious Kind..I think it's one of the record's higlights! There's absolutely no filler on the album :)
I'm sure that wasn't the intention of the song. They just wanted you to imagine being cold in that white fluffy stuff that usually falls in the winter.
