i love your coat!!! I am in USDA Zone 8a in southeast US. What I do with many of those seedlings is plant them out in the fall. They overwinter just fine. In fact they love the winter temps. Do you have access to your allotment thru the winter? You have missed the fall planting window. But you can get those in the ground 6 weeks BEFORE your avg last frost date. Is this what your plan is? I have started another succession of snapdragons and a few others. I will plant them in my garden bed on Feb 15. My avg last frost date is April 30th.

I do love bright colours, as if I didn’t stand out enough inJapan already. 🤣 This is great to know, thank you. I was thinking of starting to pot on but if I can just get them straight out in to the ground it would be fab. My last frost date is end of Feb so I guess I could start hardening them off pretty soon.

Greetings from Oz 🇦🇺 My first visit to your site and am interested in where to source your seed trays.

I got them on Amazon. They came in a pack of 10 with bottom trays, cell tray, humidity dome and really handy little plastic tools for sowing seeds and removing the plants from the cells. They have been a game changer for me with much better germination this year. I love that you can see the roots as well to easily check if they are getting root bound. I think they were about ¥1000-¥1500 so about 10-15 Aussie Dollars for the 10.

Stock is triggered into blooming by daylight hours, they look like they are going to start throwing up blooms. Have you tried putting them out in low tunnels? Might work better. I’ve had mine bloom in the dead of winter before! I’d move them out asap

I definitely think it’s time to pot it on. My lupin are getting really big too so I think I have my Saturday morning planned for me.
