Yellowstone: Mammoth, Noris, Artist Paintpots, and Old Faithful

Bozeman MT, to Yellowstone, WY
Spent the night in Bozeman Super 8. Slept pretty well. Ate breakfast at IHOP, was starving. Then went to Walmart for food and supplies. Drove to Yellowstone North entrance. The drive there was beautiful. Tyler kept saying Wow! Stopped and got pictures at the Roosevelt Arch. Drove to Mammoth Springs and toured the lower terraces. Ate lunch out of trunk in parking lot. Then toured the upper terraces. Drove south to Norris Geyser Basin, stopping at the Golden Gate, Obsidian Cliffs, and Roaring Mountain. Arrived at Norris and toured the Porcelain loop. After that was extremely tired and didn’t do the 2nd loop. Drove to Artist Paint Pots and hiked the trail there. Drove to Old Faithful and stopped at Gibbons Falls. Checked in at Old Faithful Lodge Cabins. #121. Ate supper at the cafeteria. Watched Old Faithful erupt for first time. Was fantastic. Went to bed early. Walked 7.8 miles.
