I’ve never liked green but that’s because I realise my skin tone is green (olive) 🤣😭. But damn I never thought anyone could look good in green till I saw Hani form EXID.

@@CoolGirl34567 I hate green but the only exception for me is Yoongi with mint hair. Although that washed out minty colour is not really green, my brain sees that as a different colour 🤣 More like pastel turquoise if that makes sense.

@@CoolGirl34567 My skintone is on the yellowish side so every colour looks super weird on me. I only like black on myself. I googled Hani, she looks great but I think it's cause that colour is more mossy-lichen green not super green if that makes sense. And it's also super pretty how it's not just one green shade on her whole head but an ombre from a more natural looking colour into the green. The hair stylists did that really well.

Yeah i always liked the look of an ombre of natural to whatever color, even if its a color i dont personally like :p i think its an easier way to pull off colorful hair colors. And if your skin is super yellow it makes sense that you like black on yourself! Most people with really yellow skin are cool toned, if you put had warm hair color (orangey brown, red, yellow-y blonde) it would emphasize that yellowness 😮 cool toned colors (black, blue black, pale ash blonde) balance that out

fr I saw them in concert back in January and he is goldennn. Honestly they all are, the palest is probably yeosang but he wasn't WHITE white, just paler than the others. I hate that all these idols are being put in blinding foundation that's wayyyy too light

@@mckdemps12 When I was in korea in 2018 I wanted to buy make up and although i'm on the lighter side (specially since back then it was winter in my country so I was as pale as I could get), I'm still not a ghost, yet the seller kept telling me I needed the second to lightest shade in the cushions. She convinced me under the lights of the shop because It didn't look that bad at the time so I bought it... I still have that cushion and it looks super white on me, no matter how much I blend it with other colors, it doesn't even look like it only lightens your skin, it looks like you're dead dead :/. What i'm trying to say is, that they still don't have enough knowledge and tools to match the skin tone. They also don't blend it with the neck so it looks like a mask

@@Valariuss the beauty standard is "as pale as possible" so that's all they ever do :/ and it's super obvious offstage when they've painted an idol too white bc they turn their head and it's like u said, a mask 😭 it doesn't match their ears or neck at all

@@mckdemps12 i guess they (the muas working with them) first need to differentiate between stage make up, shooting make up and natural everyday make up, because I’ve seen videos/photos of seonghwa offstage with that heavy white make up not blended at all. Also there are not much shades to choose from in Korean makeup so maybe the muas don’t have the creativity (or tools like a said before) to mix the foundations until they match it. I’m sad that is still the beauty standard. There has been some improvements though like, thankfully, I don’t see much idols nowadays that makes fun of the ones with darker complexions as it used to be. I mentioned N I’m the first comment because I remember everyone used to almost bully him for it :(

Yeah same, having my hair dyed black made me look super pale more than I am cause I stopped tanning, and when I didn’t wear makeup with my black hair I looked sick and others thought I was too it was sad lmao

Yes, there are some seasons who are more sensitive to chroma (saturation) and contrast, over the hue or temperature of the colour. Winters or any deep type can pull of most colours even though it’s not really their ideal shade, because the most important thing for them is contrast!
