The first time I fell in love with Yes was the day I listened to Yessongs on my cousin's record player... i'd never heard Yes before - and my cousin (who was about 6 years older than me) told me about how amazing they were in concert - he'd seen them just a few weeks earlier. My cousin left the house (we were visiting for the weekend) and my parents and brother were busy doing something elsewhere in the house and I snuck into my cousin's room and listened to Yessongs on his record player with headphones. I will never forget how mesmerized I was by the Fish... stunning. How'd the crowd become so enthralled with the solo that they weren't screaming like other concerts? I was hooked!

In 1999, I read a story in some music paper that had them as their cover story, and when they interviewed Rick Wakeman, he said and I quote: "I never want to work with them again", and yet here he is four years later!

2020 Virus hunker down, let’s of YT music vids........you don’t realize on the studio versions how much Chris’ voice harmonizes with Jon’s, also the isolations on Chris’ bass leads really comes out on the live performances (plus they had him do more of it on the shows - awesome 🎸👏👌✌️

Notice how Jon leaves the stage just before the Tempus Fugit part…

Squire has his own very special way of playing the bass , so different from any other bassist.

I think Chris Squire is one of the most brilliant, innovative and influential bassists to ever play the instrument. But man, his solo's stink.
