So underrated? I haven't met anyone who doesn't think it's hilarious. And look at the critics/audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. Pretty fkn' far from underrated, RB 😎
@chief- I totally agree. I really don’t think some people understand the meaning of the word. This movie was very popular and hilarious. I miss the 80’s. You could be funny without being canceled. Chinese people would have found reasons to complain about Dong’s character today.
Because of how incredulous he is that a 16-year old girl, who’s obviously still in high school, is apparently getting married. Especially when the girl in question is the new girl of his dreams. But little does he know that this fellow he’s talking to is talking about the wrong Baker girl.
This movie came out a few years before I was born, but I love it and all the 80s movies. Honestly times were so much better here. No computers, facebook, reality tv and video games. If you liked a girl, you walked over to her house and mustered up the courage to ask her parents to talk to her. If you liked a boy, you spent hours in your room thinking about what he was doing, instead of creeping on Facebook lol. I'd love to be Sam and have a Jake Ryan to swoon over...so sweet :)

haha aw, you didn't include the part where he opens the closet door or the part where he says "i call F.I.B.!" but this was one of my favorite scenes from one of my favorite movies :)
