I consider this their most beautiful song. And Chris Squire’s harmonies to Jon’s voice were always perfect and so distinctive. You can tell it’s Chris right away. Lovely song.

Whenever I die, I hope this song will be played at my funeral. I have never been engaged or married, but the lyrics and the music move me, and remind me of the women I fell in love with, love that transcends time and place. And the love for all the people close to my heart.

Of all the times Jon has sung like an angel, this has to one of the very best. Steve's acoustic guitar is so wonderfully sensitive in combination, and then Rick comes in and it soars. To have this, and Awaken, and Parallels on one album - incredible.

Like all great music, this track bears listening to time after time until every note is familiar, but it is never boring to come back to time after time. I'm glad you discovered YES too, they hold a sacred place in my heart.

Pure magic, all vocals and instruments perfectly merged together, as often happens in Yes music. In this case few notes can create a dramatic scenario.

As a musician do you listen to the music first and then go back to the lyrics? Or, do you listen to the whole thing first and then go back to, sort of, put the track into the music, then the lyrics - I'm interested to learn how you dissect a track

Wait… i feel like ur saying that the version u first heard with Steve Howe and a vocalist is comparable to this. I respect that you don’t want to disrespect or discredit the other band but are you really saying that the two versions are comparable?? If so, i completely respect your opinion. Can you please post a link to the comparable version? I think the fans would love to hear it as we respect your opinion
