Neil. Thanking you for your informative video. I just booked a day trip to Skegness in May, and wanted a bit of insight on what to do and places to eat. I see there is a new Wetherspoons opened up. So that the food and drink issue sorted. I used to live in Skegness, but only for six months, this was in 1987. But by heck it has changed. I love Lincolnshire and all its areas

Skeggie is great, been going there for years. Neil, worth mentioning to viewers that toilets don't accept cash, card only. My wife and I got caught out by this last year. We were on a coach trip and just took cash with us. After the near 3 hour coach journey you can imagine the need to spend a penny. We had to search for a pub to use their toilet.Very poor of the council to do card only. Great video by the way, surprised how many people were about.

I was in the Lumley on Saturday. It was a great band for paddies weekend. Anyone coming out to Skegness who wants live music I would highly recommend The Lumley, The Ship or Busters. Kingston are on down the ship on 6th April if you like SKA and regee. Always a good night. Also another great band to luck out for is Basketcase, usually on down the Ship but for anyone based out in the midlands also play in Newark and Melton Mowbray. Check them out there great. Nice video. I was quite impressed with Skegness when I visited earlier this year for the first time ever. Coming from Blackpool I could see things which Skegness has which Blackpool doesn't, like plenty of trees and green spaces near the centre. I went to the Trawler's Catch for fish & chips & ended up completely stuffed! The Wetherpoons looks very nice now it's been opened. It was closed when I was there.

My sister & brother in law took me to Skegness just before he died, a few years ago, now when we holiday there I look for shops I remembered, but apparently there was a big fire & a lot of them no longer exist, sadly. They all burned down.

Should do the Skegness Seasider on the Launch event on Thursday 21st March 2024 Lots of new buses and livery.

Skegness is Skegness it's the same as any seaside it will have rubbish it not a just a issue there anywhere humans should learn what bins are for We haven't been for a few years but if we do we stop at singlecote on Drummond road . It's good to see places where we have been we loved the marine sanctuary . It's a great bit of publicity your giving skeggy, look forward to to your adventures again soon

Nice video - I like your commentary and I can't believe the Lumley Plaza shop turned you away but never mind- plenty of other businesses in Skegness that appreciate your highlighting them and what they have for sale. People like me who watch and are coming later in the year for summer holiday will be happy to visit the places you let us know about. We used to always go to the gold wing lights parade and I felt that last year wasn't as good as it used to be and not as many bikes but it was great that they closed the road off from the beach to Alison's for the daytime unlike the other years we've been. I think I remember seeing you last year unless you have a lookalike 😂

Hopefully visiting at end of April early may week.. Prob staying at Butlin's but will make regular visits to town as I like to take the longish but nice walk into town from butlins. I like to sit avin a coffee on balcony of lucky strike watching skegg life go by nd also the little cafe /bakery shop on corner near the hildreds. Love skegg.. Wud love to buy a caravan tbh but atm. Not able to get the use out of it as wud like to due to work commitments. Plus I think site fees cost alone puts me off as wot I av looked into wud be prob, about a minimum of £200 plus per month nd that's just another added bill in life Ur vids help fill a skegg gap till I can visit tho. Cheers

Good day, Neil, I live in Boston 35 minutes up the road from Skegness and I think Skegness is bloody brilliant for what it is no way does it deserve worst seaside place in Great Britain of all the seaside places are been to Blackpool what a crap hole boarded up, nothing there Terrible, Skegness is way better without Skegness is not perfect but they spent a lot of money there lately and it looks good especially on the seafront from the clocktower around the beach and the funfair area. I see you mentioned fantasy Island up the road that’s not what it was. Not as many rides there now and the market that surrounds fantasy Island at ingoldmell is just allowed of crap now But great video I always like to see people going to my local seaside place good old Skegness gets a lot of bad rap that it doesn’t deserve and no I’m not looking through roast tinting glasses. Yes I know it has problems but they are hell of a lot worse places in the UK to go when it comes to seaside town And I think Skegness is doing alright could do better. I love to see you go to Blackpool and have a look round that place. I use the word place instead of another word there because Blackpool is just boarded up. There is just literally nothing there dying, I totally dying that place Makes Skegness look good

OMG so you think a couple of dozen people is really thousands and really really busy? get real 😂😂😂 you must have your rose tinted glasses on, yes at one point they were going to trial a closure of Lumley Road but it had a lot of opposition so it never happened, which I'm glad it didn't as all it would do is move the traffic down one of the other streets and would be horrendous, ok for you lot who only come to visit now and again, if you love here so much then move here and see for yourself it's not as great as you make out, as for the shops, they are awful the town is full of charity shops, betting shops, arcades, nothing decent at all...............yes I still live here have done for 37 years so I can see how much down hill it's got, so thankful I'll be moving out of the area this year.
