I bought this to replace a very similar item whose foam grips had worn after years of use. ru-vid.comUgkxwyoGHi-cCLV1AqJYj7QeIWKSpdRMYPF1 This one is is even slightly better than the old one I had! (Sorry I don't remember the brand or model.) This bar sits a bit higher in the doorway, giving me more ground clearance for movement, and the foam grips and foam pads that protect the doorway are thicker. It was also very quick and easy to assemble. The only minor gripe I have is that the hand grips in the middle are really tight on the bar, and therefore hard to slide along the bar if you want a wider or narrower grip. You have to be patient and gradually work them into the position you want.
Just a suggestion, you might not want to install the bar above the door into the header. It is a weak point meant for downward forces. It is better to install it into a full stud.
Hey sir just bought this bar, what size drill bit did you use. It says to use a 7/32” bit n it don’t look like that would work 🤨that’s a small drill bit for the size bolts we have to put in the wall
I purchased the same but the dyna bolt 🔩 that comes with it is substandard so u need to buy heavy duty dynamic bolt.. overall the pull up bar is solid.
Hi. Thanks for the video. I bought the same bar. Thinking of installing into brick wall in garage but have been reading around how the perpendicular forces can rip the wall down. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
Screwing it in Brick or cemented wall should be OK go with the right hardware. If you have a dry wall and you didn't screw it in studs then it can definitely cause problems.
It is a dry wall. We didn't use the bolts it came with; those were ok. So just to be safe we went to the hardware store to get stronger ones. Its been almost 3years. It is holding up really well.
www.amazon.com/dp/B019H3C8L4/ref=cm_sw_r_apa_i_-Dz4EbBYTA8XQ Here is the link of this product It came with the bolts We had Drill, measuring tape, stud finder, etc at home.
Hey man, would you be able to specify what type of bolts you bought? I lost the instructions and hardware that came included so I don't know what replacements to buy :/ Great video, thanks!
It's been a long time amzn.to/3qRU7r8 here is the link you may b able to find something here. Or you can ask your local hardware store to guide you. Thanks for your interest.
Hello. I have a question. I also installed it on my wall and it has 2 bolts on the upper sections on both sides, One of the upper bolt went loose from the stud, now i can't tighten it I got It welded on that particular point...so do you think Welding will be enough to hold my weight? Sorry for writing a long text
I just ordered one, i read its not safe to hang over your door because the support isnt as strong. That being said, i only have room to place over my bedroom window, is that a dumb idea or??
It all depends on the strength of the wall. We had studs in the wall above the door so we put the bar on. If your dry wall doesn’t have studs door or no door/window it is not going to hold the weight. Concrete walls can hold the weight as well.
Most of them are designed to go in studs which are 16 or 24inches apart. If you are planning to put this up always screw it in studs for dry wall or you can screw it in cemented wall.
Yeah, it was for beginners when we could barely do pull ups now we are planning to install another one for proper muscle ups, once we get to that level.
I bought mine form Amazon. Below is the link. www.amazon.com/Yes4All-Wall-Mount-Chin-Bar/dp/B019H3C8L4/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?ie=UTF8&qid=1525542944&sr=8-1-spons&keywords=yes4all+chin+up+bar&psc=1

Typical inside wall, I utilized the studs that the door is attached too, utilized the same leveling as well, this way i knew for a fact that the screws are buried in the studs and it is leveled as well, made installation a breeze.
