Unfortunately we know Israel won't accept the messiah until they are almost wiped out completely. I believe that is what is going to happen although I have never heard anyone go into depth on it. They had God walking around doing miracles left and right. After they rejected him they were almost wiped in 70AD and sent into exile for 2000 years. They again were almost wiped out by Nazi Germany. Then the biggest miracle happened the nation of Israel was born. If all of that happened to me I would see Jesus is the messiah and God is punishing us for rejecting him. They still reject him. They have hard hearts and scales on their eyes. I wish I was wrong.

It’s clear to me now, that GOD the Father has allowed the Rabbis to hide the suffering Servant found in the pages of the Torah in order that HIS perfect will would be done according to the scriptures that all Prophecy will be fulfilled. I find this astounding. Glory to His Name!

I’m not seeing it. Judah and Joseph were brothers. No way Jesus can be of the lineage of Judah thru David and at the same time thru Joseph. Joseph is not a descendant of Judah. I’m thinking this other messiah can at best be a type of Christ but he’s saying it’s from rabbinic literature which is not inspired and no better than any commentary we have access to

This question will be addressed in later episodes in this series.

Jesus told the rabbis that all of the scriptures point to Himself, but they didn’t believe. I’m not interested in these old rabbinical writings.

Now alot of Christ Messiah Scripture's WERE being quoted ALSO that refered to this other son Ben J! And CHRIST never spoke of this fellow at all before Himself as came! Christ only ever refered to Himself alone and all Sripture pointing to Himself, like in the reading Christ gave on a Sunday in His own town in the temple when He got up and read and refered it himself and they wanted to stone Him. Rabbinic literature is not scripture. It might be interesting to read but Rashi seems to be a flake and I’m amazed how many people think he’s some apostle Paul of the Hebrew Scriptures. To me it proves what Jesus said, if someone comes in his own name you’ll believe him. It just shows how bad the lost, including lost Jews choose anything over God and His Messiah

@@mountainman78629 I agree Rabbinnic commentary is not scripture - he was just using it to prove that the Jewish sages believed in a suffering Messiah, even though they deny a suffering Messiah today. Rabbinnic commentary is also useful when catching lying RU-vid cult leaders like Tovia singer twisting scripture - for example; Tovia will mistranslate ZECHARIAH 12:10, but the Babylonian Talmud will confirm the KJV translation.

@@mountainman78629 I don't believe there is a Messiah Ben Joseph at all - I believe Deuteronomy is speaking about geological surveys, but the very fact that the anti-missionaries use this verse to say that the Messiah will suffer and die for the people proves they believe in a suffering Messiah. I disagree with this scholar in many things.

Check out the life and ministry of Joseph Smith, whose father was named Joseph. Book of Mormon has prophecies of this Messiah and Joseph. Check out second Nephi chapters three and four. It’ll blow your mind.

Show me messiah son of Joseph from scripture, not rabbinic writings. No way some other messiah has to die and be raised from the dead to prepare the way for the Lord to die and be raised from the dead. There’s 3 Persons in the godhead, not 4

Where did you see a biblical account of 2 messiah's? And apparently for such a huge figure in history, he cannot even be named! That is not right to myself! And Christ never speaks of anyone but Himself. Jesus Christ Son of the living God only ever spake of Elijah and the prophets and king david when referring to himself.

We lived next door to the Polish catholic church and school. I know exactly what they teach and who they are. We had large crosses with Jesus on them all over the house. We had pictures of the Pope on the walls. We wore out more rosary beads than the pope. We had statues of Mary in the house and yard. I went to mass and confession with my grandmother a zillion times. We lit candles to get my grandpa out of purgatory. I could fill a swimming pool with the "holy" water. We wouldn't dream of not having a St. Thomas medallion in the car to keep us from having a wreck. We ate fish every friday. We played bingo in the church basement 3 times a week. But one of my biggest and most agonizing memories growing up as a catholic was we had the biggest most beautiful white leather bound Bible you've ever seen. It was in the living room in a plastic cover on display. It had been in the family for eons.. and in all my years we NEVER ONCE EVER OPENED THAT BIBLE. It was there like every other catholic "furnishing". It was there for show. We were never once taught nor encouraged to open a bible.. and we sure as heck were never inspired to read it. The catholic church teaches you how to be a Catholic.. not a Christian. Big big difference. The truth is the catholic church relied on the illiteracy of its people for millennia! Even if you were lucky enough to have a bible people couldn't read.. people relied on the priest to tell them what it said and they knew it so they took advantage of it. They didn't want people reading it for themselves because if they did it wouldn't have taken long before the people in the pews would have started asking hard questions. There's a lot of things the Catholic church doesn't mention my friend.. and A LOT they teach that is pure heresy. The Catholic church will burn in hell for what they've done to millions and millions and millions of people. As far as this video goes they're not saying there are two messiahs. They're not even hinting at such a thing. That would be blasphemy. If you knew your bible like you know the Pope you'd know what they're teaching in this video. Joseph was a type of the messiah who would come.. so was David.. and I'm not talking about Marys' husband. Anybody with an ounce of courage who knows the gospel and what the cross really means would run out of the Catholic church.

Yes and there are some modern day pastors and teachers who explain how Joseph is a type of Messiah! Very exciting to find Christ in the OT. Jesus even says the OT is about HIM!

If you watch a few of the testimonials on this channel you will hear regular people saying that they had been lied to for 2000 years. Thats not God that’s man. Perhaps our Lord wanted this information to be revealed at this time to bring more people to Him. He is doing that all over the world as we speak.

Yes, that's exactly what I usually think but Messiah ben Joseph has not been hidden for 2,000 years, there have been mentions of him many times before: Jews for Jesus address this in "Yeshua, the Jewish name of Jesus". It's more that rabbis have been suppressing this truth as they suppress everything that clearly points to Jesus in the Hebrew Bible. Also Joseph was clearly a type of Christ in all the details of his life.

We'll as I see it. This Ben J son.. cannot be biblically in history told to us who he actually was! So great a figure must surely stand out and be remembered?

I have the same question. Do we have to decide between them? My impression is that bloodlines were so mixed by the first century that most had some of every tribe in them, but for me this doesn’t resolve why the New Testament owns the content of this tradition and avoids the designation “son of Joseph”.

Both Mary and Josephs lineage have a descendant named Joseph - it was a popular name. You can see Mary's genealogy in Luke. Her father is Heli - It always lists the husband with a star instead of the woman's name. Matthew is Joseph's genealogy. Son of Joseph means descendant of Joseph who is from the line of David and Jacob and Judah still.

Dr. Mitchell explains this in the second video on this subject. The interjection of Ahab’s family into the line of David (which I always viewed as unfortunate) brings the line of Ephraim (son of Joseph) into Mary’s lineage. Also, the line of Levi is present in Mary’s lineage, as we see in her familial connection with Elizabeth. Amazing how God is always in control of all situations, regardless of how they appear to us mortals!

Maybe they were kept from recognizing who Jesus was because there had to be a sacrifice for our atonement of sin. If they had not crucified Jesus then there would not have been a final atonement sacrifice for us. Just a thought.

Yeshua is not Elohim, He says so himself many times. The Father and the Son are not the same being, its impossible. Why would he call out to himself, how could he bring himself back to life, why would he say he is not good, none is good, only the Father, why would he say, I cant do anything on my own, only what my Father orders. @@brighthought11 Shalom! John 12:45, John 14:6-10. If you don't mind, I will believe Yeshua. He came from the Father who is Spirit to earth and had to take on flesh for our sakes. After death he ascended again to the Father, shedding the flesh of man. The Father and the Son are one, Yeshua reiterates this many times in scripture. God Bless!
