If this game had any realism to it, every He shell that goes within 5 yards of any Russian tank would cause an immediate Cook off of all ammunition causing the turret to hit 50 ft.
Very cool that Su25SM3 has like gen 3 thermals while gaijin degraded F-16 targeting pod so you can’t see Pantsir to kill it with a maverick 14 km away wich usually doesnt even matter because either Pantsir shoots them or they don't have enough energy (and for some reason Pantsir doesn't like to get overpreassured with heat mavericks)
Best thing about that downgrade is that they justified it by saying the Litening II doesn't get them... while of course giving the Gripen/Harrier II/Tornado gen 3 thermal Litening IIs even though the F-16C has the second-newest version of that pod in the game)
It’s not only pantsir, heat atgm simply doesn’t kill anything, vikhr will just do hit on flakrad, if you want guarantied kill you need Mav G(HE variant) or the KH25/29/38 that has HE warhead which all of them have only 1 per slot
I've noticed, not only this thing can tv lock at 14+km, but it's also in track mode! A pgm will lock past 18km, but its lock mode is stuck in point, until below 6km depending of target size. It's incredibly op compared to NATO stuff
I've always said this lol that's why I don't really play anymore notice how Russia has they're most modern stuff but every other major country is stuck in the early 2000s

This has happened so many times in War Thunder’s history that I already know how it’s going to go. Gaijin adds a super op vehicle that has no counter, but then in a subsequent update they finally add that counter, but to a less “popular” nation that players have to grind through to get to. This then greatly incentivises purchasing premium vehicles to grind for it. For them, it’s not about balance, it’s a sales strategy. They make the most money from imbalance. Everyone wants to bully with the op vehicle, so they buy it / pay to reach it, and then everyone wants the counter, but they make that as hard to access as they can. So right now they’re also setting the stage for more sales later in the year.

I love that this can outrange every spaa it fights :) totally fair, so much fun to play against, especially when the only spaa that can reliably get it at range, is on the same team.
At some point, you have to start wondering, why play any nation other than Russia. It's been over a year since the Pantsir got added. Not one other SPAA has been added to even try and match it. They have also nerfed every single SPAA. They have nerfed laser/TV-guided bombs, can't release past Mach 1. The first and only CAS to match or even outrange the Pantsir is also Russian.
@@dinipuh9889 They might not be real SPAA, but NASAMS and IRIS-T would be a good place to start looking. If needed they should just add some of the launch vehicles and give them an invisible radar. For realism they can just say that the radars are outside the map.
Because Russian tanks aren't that great. Shitty mobility and reload is a death sentence at top tier. The Rook is fat and slow and doesn't make top tier Russian CAS the best in the game, that still goes to US or France since their CAS platforms are just better flight model wise and their helicopters are better imho
They might as well add the AGM 158 JASSM if they add stuff from 2015 for Russia :) Same with the pantsir vs FlakRakRad, tech from the 70s vs tech from the 2010s. Maybe there is a pattern there…
I have the Su-39. In Ground RB, I got hit by 2 avation missiles from an F-15 (i think got hit from his Vulcan as well). Had severe damage, no elevator control and the vertical stab was busted BUT the plane was still technically flying. It took a third avation missile to kill me. Ridiculous, how survivalable that plane is compared to the A-10s.
I think it's good that we didn't get an A-10C this update because the SU-25SM3 would have overshadowed it, but I do hope we get it the next update or the AV-8B+ for USA
dude try using the kh38 laser variant and snipe from 20km away. it is just like hellfire with more speed, explosives and u can guide all the missiles at once
hey, im not sure if its just a thing where you like to line up your aircraft before launch, but im pretty sure they did some sort of update where you dont need to leave the camera view before launching more ordnance.
What a great demonstration of why top tier ground battles aren’t fun. As soon as one team has the upper hand it just becomes a spawn killing slaughter. I feel so dumb for having bought high tier premiums for such a shit game modes. Even when you’re winning you just feel gross.
Exactly why realism sucks. In real life CAS absolutely shits on tanks (Desert Storm) but it's not very fun to just get bombed into submission by 10 F-16s/Su-25s/Gripens every game
I have lots of matches playing JP and everytime i think we could win the match, we just get dismantled by 2 or even 1 Su25sm3 and i can’t counter it from the ground and we just lose the match entirely to their cas and it legit doesn’t have to hit you directly, landing near your tank is enough to kill your mbt, that so my experience
Had this happen two days ago playing Sweden, 1-3 SU25sm3 always flying beyond 11km. Had multiple games where we win the ground battle but then proceed to get absolutely dismantled by su25sm3 and helicopters.
The problem with NATO is that they don’t have an equivalent to the pantsir. They started using missile battery’s like the patriot system. The only thing I could think of is to add something like that as like a two part vehicle. The radar truck towing the missiles. It would look goofy but the patriots have a much longer range than even the pantsir I think (Not too sure on the exact range). But NATO would mainly use aircraft to combat CAS. So without adding some something like I said earlier they could make aircraft with only air to air missiles cheaper. This would ofc bring other issue on its own but it’s either that or they nerf the Russian stuff which would defeat the whole purpose of new tech being added
@@JustinPlaysTVyour closing statements overlook a few facts tbh. CAS just isn't difficult. You don't need to be overly skilled to dodge AA at most BRs and estimating distance isn't hard for bombs and such. I'm by no means a skilled pilot and can do just fine and get multiple sorties out of a strike craft all I did was watch a five minute tutorial by oddbawz. CAS just benefits too much from arcade mechanics like the additional Gs, third person so they always see where ground fire is coming from and overall poor DM across the board. Put a full bore AP shell thru the engine cone of prop oops you damaged a flap. You can't hide from it you can't dodge a decent CAS player. And that's not even getting into the AA issues. SAMs don't get additional G tolerance that airframes do which allows those jets to maneuver way too easy to dodge missiles. AA have to worry bout ground fire, helis and jets. Some AA cannot defend themselves from ground units meaning they're stuck in spawn in easy to predict locations for CAS and so on and so forth.
I think my biggest gripe is also that Gaijin ONLY gives Russia the top SPAA with missiles that can counter it.... they add weapons to Russia as if Russia is the nation that has to counter Pantsirs...
Ive played the game for a really long time and this gives me the same vibes as when the ka50 was first introduced and how it broke top tier because it was wildly unbalanced. Back then it had the longest range missiles of any heli and there wasnt a single spaa that could reach out that far to kill them. The only vehicle that could was the 2s6 which was on the same team making russia massively over powered for tge time since its cas couldnt be touched from spaas which were mostly cannon based at those times and its spaa could shoot down almost all cas from other teams making other teams seriously handycapped in what you could do. I was all for mixed teams back then becauseof how unfair things had gotten and im still all for it today. I dont care for having nations pitted against eachother like us vs german and shuffle smaller batches of other nations in there on either team. Pure mix means a mix of all capabilities from any faction present on any team and that is fair and balanced. This aircraft has the farthest standoff of any munition of that class and is paired with an spaa that can easily shoot down most aircraft and extreme ranges with a pretty manuverable missile. Same situation just platforms changed. This is the kind of stuff that causes people to say there is a general bias towards russian getting the best of their tech and other nations getting the worst versions of theirs.
i think the reason we dont have spaa with really long range for say nato is because the maps arent big enough and the spawns are too close to the battlefield, if they made maps for higher br’s with longer ranges and further away spawns then the longer range spaa’s would be more affective
One plane that comes to mind for me is the french Mirage 2000C, should have MAW too and you can even see it at the rear on the plane. But it's not implemented... Just like the laser warning on the Leclercs and AMX-40....
I agree and would love to see SPAA with IRIS-T. The range is once again a problem, they go from 12km(SLS) to 40km(SLM). I personally want SLM getting added, but I doubt Gaijin ever will unless Russia has a 40km or higher SPAA.
Short Update. After 3 months I grinded my way up to the first Su-25 and researched everything with the Su-39. Now I am 300k away from being enable to research the next Su. So I should potetnitally have it by tomorrow.
The only people saying cas isn't broken are the guys who non stop play cas. They rush n get a few scouts n base cap or 2 and bam fully loaded death machine raining down Holy hell

You have the: T72 Turms T80UD 2S38 SU25K KA50 And if you want to have more planes, you would still have the Mig21S and the Yak38 It's almost literally an entire tree of Premiums lol

Boop, boop, boop... 3 kills just by locking a bunch of pixels on screen 10+ km away and pressing a button and these guys have zero counter by themselves and entirely depend on SPAA which have very little tools at such ranges and/or having decent CAP in their team (that can react quick enough to someone spawning across the map with 12km+ ordinance ??) At least any tank, as OP as it may be, if it has a visual, I could have a visual and it's often a matter of who reacts quicker, who's better positioned, who's got the better reflexes. There are some broken imbalances but there's almost always a counter.

Gaijin will never let Nato Vechiles be better or even close to Russian Vechiles, it would hurt there false pride to have Balance in the game when russia can't be OP in it
While I may seem like a troll with this, but we could get Su-25 number 7 in the form of the Su-25UBK. But as an event vehicle for either the Summer or Winter event and it could be listed as a Bulgarian vehicle, as they did receive both the Su-25K & Su-25UBK in 1985 to replace the then obsolete MiG-17Fs which had been the backbone of the Bulgarian Air Force up until that point. Three UBK's were operational by 2004.

@@zay8113 The only thing is most SPAA players have the radar off anyway and mouse guide the missile, so Gaijin need to nerf the manual mode or just get rid of it, so the missile flies in a straight line and explodes or doesn’t launch without radar lock

The only annoying with on the su25sm3 is not something on the plain or something no its that most of the jet´s try to camp the air spawn to shoot you down when you are in the su .
