I appreciate your time... But I. Wud make this simple.... First just heat up the engine then open the cover... Then start again turn the gas a bit... Close air screw fully...now turn a bit more gas and now just start turning anti clock wise the air screw... When the rpm raises high.. stop turning and that's it... This is the correct way to tune... Stop at High rpm... And see how crisp the response is... Do it and reply..
@ I have mileage problem with my Jawa 71 model, I have loosen the horizontal air screw to the 2.5 turns, earlier the mechanic had set it to 1/2 turn but the mileage was just 20km. What is correct setting for mileage and for idling. Note: The firing should be slow and late firing, this is my requirement, how do I set it Hari Anna?
@@hariprasadkathyayani thank you kindly for getting back to me. i have it set at 1/2 turn and needle clip set in 3 rd groove from the top. in your video on setting timing advance you advise to set by lining edge of terminal connector to edge of cylinder fins approximately 12oclock to 6 oclock position. With this setting does your bike run hotter due to advance? if so would you think we may need to go up to the fourth groove to increase fuel level? Please forgive me questions. I look forward to your reply. Regards Keith
Hi Ashitosh, Tighten main screw all the way in, Do not force it be gentle until it stops then loosen it 1/2 turn. Right hand tighten left hand loosen. Check spark plug colour after riding for a few days to see colour and adjust main screw 1/4 turn or more or lesser, Should be between 1/4 turn to 3/4 turn depending on your bike. Hope this helps. I am sure Hari maybe able to explain much better than me. Regards Keith
Hi Lakshith The idle screw is on the bottom beside the main mixture screw. Tightening it will increase engine speed and loosening it will decrease engine speed.
