I’m wondering when he will start practicing big cube events or other events such as Skewb, clock, square 1, etc. He definitely has the potential to break every current record in the WCA if he chose to become an all rounder. I doubt he will choose this route, and instead focus on 3x3, 2x2, and Pyraminx.
@@DDHDTV I was averaging around sub 1:20 when I was 11 years old on 4x4, and my hands were probably reasonably sized. A year will definitely be enough time for his hands to grow.

Yeah, I know, slow down, don't be nervous." 1:49 "...ok it's all good. (the beginning was cut off, so not sure what she was replying too)." 1:56 "I'm going outside. Don't panic. Take a couple of deep breath. Take a few deep breath, don't panic. I'm going outside. You heard me or not? (Yiheng nodded ever so slightly.) Don't lockup." 2:29 WR average achieved. Yiheng looking for mom and watching her reaction 2:49 "Grab your cube!"
Leo momentarily being completely shocked at the solve then immediately remembering to write the time down is definitely my favorite part of the vid. Congrats to Yiheng on breaking his own record, but good job to Leo as well!
Yukon and Max have a long way to go before they get to Yiheng’s level. Tumon needs to turn faster and Max needs better look ahead. I could also see Luke Garrett or Ruihang making similar improvements and getting close though
@@reecypeecy9909 max has the lookahead he just needs more efficiency and techniques because he uses the most basic cfop out there. Yiheng can use some zbll
@@akcuber5335 lol max is completely out of the 3x3 picture. He was all about tps, Yiheng has the same tps and is way better in other aspects. Single solve wr is luck based but it is inevitable Yiheng will claim it too
i was gonna go to australian nationals since yiheng wang is but i changed my mind cus its an 11 hour bus ride. i swear hes gonna get a world record and im gonna miss it
Amazing. World-breaking performance at such a young age. He's got such an intense, serious look, which is perfectly fine given the stakes; but I really hope he's having fun, too.
"There is some 8 year old kid, that is probably faster than you." At this point, we gonna get sub-4 avg sune. The amount of focus in Yiheng's face is immense.
