I’m not gonna lie, I wish Colourpop did this collection instead of makeup revolution. Their eyeshadows just look very chalky & not the best quality. You still were able to make it look pretty though
@@BreyonnaFaye yeah the shimmers did look really pretty I love the blue shade. I’m considering buying it just for the shimmers and packaging since it’s 20% off right now on beauty bay, only about $16. I also really like that matte periwinkle/lavender shade in the palette but I’m not sure how pigmented it is. Either way I’ll probably still grab it and the yasmin palette for collecting/nostalgic reasons haha. I’ll look out for your video on that one!
It’s such a shame that you really had to work with some of the shades, but the finished look is beautiful! I got the gloss and it’s SO intense but looks so beautiful ✨ I also bought all of the palettes - oops! 😅
Im just happy it turned out in the end!! haha it really is!!! tbh its one of the very few plumping glosses I actually see a noticable difference with but MAN is it SPICY!!! lol! Have you tried them yet??
@@BreyonnaFaye I’ve bought the Cloe palette but have only tried the Yasmin palette so far, and it was so lovely that it convinced me to buy the Jade and Sasha palettes! I’ve tried the Yasmin and Cloe glosses so far too and they’re surprisingly pigmented ☺️
It's disappointing that you had trouble with the matte shades, but you worked your magic and still came out with an amazing look. You can make anything look good! I'm so envious of your lid space 😍.
I find most Makeup Revolution palettes to be hit and miss. I find wetting some shades help a lot. I don't like the fact that it is hit and miss within a collection. I'd rather have an amazing collection with all amazing palettes. Or knowing an entire collection sucks lol, but I definitely love how you saved this look 😍
The Birds of Paradise, Chilled sativa palette and the Jack and Sally nightmare before Christmas set. I haven't tried too many others, but I usually look at reviews before purchasing since they're formula is so hit and miss which is why I love that you showcase each individual palette. Colourpop on the other hand I will purchase before reviews depending on the collection because I always love their formulas.
I love Makeup Revolution but my biggest gripes with all their palettes (minus their colllabs and the chocolate bar dupes) is that their color story is always off and they put WAY too many shimmers/satins where mattes should be and when they DO put in mattes, the colors are half assed. It throws off the palette and takes away almost all versatility. Nevertheless, you really created a gorgeous look working with!
The Conceal and Define one? Thank you!!! I always feel so silly when I do it but love it on others so I was like "why cant I do it too, it looks so cute on everyone" lol!
@@BreyonnaFaye ya the conceal and define one. Also I'm older than you in my 30s and wear my hair like that in a high pony or clip all the time in the summer and my man said he likes it to so don't feel silly! It looks great on you!
Before Jeffree star came out with Cremated. My mother asked me what I wanted for my birthday and I told her I wanted an eye shadow palette that has white with every shade of Gray and goes to black and I looked everywhere I mean you could not even find one that coming from China on eBay the only 1 I ended up finding after searching long and hard was 1 from make up revolution but it really did not have good ratings at all and I wanted a really good 1 and then literally 2 days later he announced cremated I had never ever spent that much on myself for an eye shadow palette nor had I ever paid full price for something expensive like that but I had to have it there just was no other choice. Definitely worth every penny.
Never bought that one from him. I have the Stone Cold Fox palette from Colourpop and I absolutely love that one! Use it all the time and its a big staple in my collection!
Maybe! Since the shades lack the pigmentation and the dark blue is patchy and gives harsh lines I dont know if itd make a difference. The cranberry shade isnt pigmented enough to compensate for the blue being chunky which makes it super hard to blend out
I was a bit disappointed at first. Tbh I was concerned for your eyelids after the fourth application of that satin. 😆 But the shimmers brought it all back to life. Honestly the shimmer in tour outer corner seemed darker and more pigmented than the darkest satin. You always pull it together beautifully! 💙
lol!!! my eyes can handle a LOT honestly haha. The dark blue in the outer edge of the lid? Its actually the same blue as in the crease! Tbh I think it works better as a shimmer on the lid than in the crease but I didnt know how else to deepen the look up since there's no deeper mattes. Im just glad the shimmers brought it back lol!!!
Okay, after my comment on your last video, I thought I might give MR another try. This was the palette I had in my cart, with the Chloe gloss. I think I'm gonna pass on it. Like you said, you can get a look out of it, but I don't want to have to work THAT hard to do it.
Its just frustrating honestly! People in my last video said they were inconsistent and since I havent tried much from them I wasnt sure what to expect after loving everything in the last video. Now I see what everyone means!
@@BreyonnaFaye I found a Reddit thread about them, and it seems that the products people love are the dupes they make of the Too Faced and Naked palettes in the metal tin packaging. Maybe that's the deal, higher quality product in higher quality packaging. I had tried some of the Friends stuff and it was awful, I returned it all.
