The clan Jang was also Wei wuxian Clan- he also lost his adopted parents, but no one cared. Only Lan really believed him

The voice actor really did great, especially at 2:48 the part "What is shijie supposed to do? What is her son supposed to do? What am I supposed to do?" such a powerful strike of emotions, no matter how many times I repeat it.

Every single time I rewatch this, I start tearing up whenever the scene where Jin Zixuan dies shows up. And my heart hurts even more when the scene where Jiang Yanli dies as well. I also feel my heart squeeze whenever I watch the scene where Lan Zhan asks Wei Ying to come back to Gusu with him and the scene where Wei Ying accuses Lan Zhan of using force on him. Wei young doesn’t deserve pain he used his powers to save others to sacrifice those who needs and he may have done something and but that doesn’t make him as a bad person nor he’s either a villain He’s done mistakes. If they would have just accepted his choice of choosing this ,, crooked path " Wei Ying wouldn't have to suffer this much. If not because he just didn't have any other choice other than taking that path, he would not have taken it if he had choices to choose from, but that option just didn't exist and that was what Lan Zhan came to realize too, as he found out that Wei Ying didn't have a golden core to begin with anymore, because of what happened to Jiang Cheng and after what Wei Ying did for him. Lan Zhan was genuinely worried for Wei Ying till the end of Wei Ying's life and was the only one, who cared for his wellbeing. But the others, they only wanted to look down on him and laugh at him. For him to have fallen this low, was the amusement others, it was disgusting. He had many regrets in his life and many things he would have done different. But thank the lords, he had been given a second chance to live once again and experience happiness with the one he has never really noticed and cared about as much as that person has cared for him. Lan Zhan. He has waited so long, gone through so much, he must have been in so much pain after he lost Wei Ying. But he has never done one thing and that was, lose hope. He had hoped for him to come back to him. Always. And what better way to be reunited if not with the song, that Lan Zhan has written for Wei Ying and for him only, to then be played by Wei Ying. What an amazing way to let Lan Zhan recognise his loved one. Finally they were reunited once again and this time it would be forever. Because BOTH of them deserves happiness. He definitely didn't deserve that kind of death. He wasn't a villain either. When they were fighting in the Sunshot Campaign everyone praised him or feared him. After the Wen's were defeated and he was no longer useful to them people turned against him for various reasons. Most of them were made up or exaggerated. Despite the bad reputation, he went to live on Burial Mounds together with the Wen remnants and willingly stood in that awful place not causing any trouble. In my opinion he only wanted to be left alone. He wasn't a bad guy. He indeed killed lots of people. At first, it was for revenge, for what the Wen's did to the former Jiang Sect. Then in the Nightless City he was already losing it after killing Jin ZiXuan (not intentionally). And to top it all Yanli died too because of him. And we know how important she is for him. People kept pushing him, blaming him. How much a person can take? I can't say he was suffering from paranoia either. He was just deeply hurt because all the stuff happening at once.
Himabinndu Juttadda I guess if you look at it from a spiritual viewpoint, when you mess with dark magic, it could turn you into an evil person. Wei Ying is a happy-go-lucky fellow who just want to live in peace, but they, the ones who did not like what he did, started to gang up on him.
Okay so here is my take. Wei Ying had the most pure intentions when taking on the resentful energy and the amulet. He only wanted to kill off the Wen clan and a lot of people supported him when he did. However when he started to speak out against the killings of innocent Wen Clan members more people turned on him once they saw how he was trying to save them. The Clans hated the power he used and resented him for it when he was trying to protect innocent Wen lives. But they had no problem turning a blind eye to their own soldiers killing them with not mercy. Yes he was warned about the evil power, however Wei Ying thought he could control it, much like addicts when they first start something. Wei Ying did not do what he did so he could rule the world. He did use the powers for his revenge against Wen Chao and his followers but besides that he was content living with the remnants of the Wen Clan. The longer he had the resentful energy and the amulet, the harder it was to control. We also see when he is in extreme distress the resentfulness is harder to control. Due to all his hardships which he does mainly push away and not talk about, the power only increased. I do not believe he deserved to die. I believe that while using the powers might've not been the best idea, I firmly believe anyone would jump at the opportunity to get revenge for the death of their family. I think he was a victim of power. Especially at the end. He knew that mostly everyone had left him. The Wen siblings were going to turn themselves in. Jiang Cheng no longer considered him part of the clan. Wen Ning killed his sisters husband. Even though he had Lan Zhan, he snapped. I think at that ending point, he wanted everyone to realize how he felt and he was angry. I am still not confident that he cared if that was his last night or not.

ngl i think it was the other sects fault for triggering wei ying,if they had left him alone and accepted him,disaster woudnt happen.and its inconsiderate for jiang cheng wanting to kill the wen sect,since it was them whom saved him and helped him obtain his core back.though i get how he felt towards them,naturally you would want revenge against everyone who hurt your loved ones
