Yin yoga for post traumatic stress (PTSD) supports your nervous system, so you can find rest and recovery.

👉 FREE 7 Days of Yin and Nidra: bit.ly/398bxdT
This yin yoga practice helps you shift out of fight, flight or freeze and into the parasympathetic response where you can find the deep rest that you need.
Post traumatic stress deregulates our nervous system and creates chronic states of hyper vigilance that effects body, mind and spirit. When we are stuck in a feedback loop of activation, we are unable to recover from trauma.
This practice is designed to help you feel supported, safe and at ease in your body so you can relax int the deep rest that is needed to recover from trauma.
Gather supportive props around you like a folded blanket, bolster and blocks, and I'll guide you through a safe journey into the body and breath.
Namaste, Kristen

I’m so glad to hear the practice was supportive for you 🌺My approach as a teacher is to focus on regulating the central nervous system, and trusting that our innate healing intelligence knows the way home. Sometimes that means simply breathing, and doing less in each posture. Sexual trauma can show up as pain in the body, and so I recommend taking it slow and easy. You may find Yoga Nidra meditation helps support your healing journey too (you can find some on this channel). 🙏

Very effective....is it normal to come tearful or cry? I feel like old emotions may have surfaced and attached to current ones. Is this possible? Lovely practice...thank you!🙏

I cried too. Thank you, Kristen for this lecture. I was relaxed and nearly got asleep but in the pigeon posture I started sobbing.

You’re welcome 🌸🌙It’s so normal to cry and release past emotions. Emotions are essentially energy, and they are meant to move (rather than stay stuck). Sometimes emotions from the past arise because we weren’t able to process them previously. But through the wisdom of our body and our healing intelligence we can now let them go 🙏
