I like Li Haolan and the Legend of Haolan more than Yanxi Palace. Music, visuals, characters, plot. Moonrise (月出）is such a delicious song I also love the way they portray the Warring States Period in terms of costumes. Maybe even in terms of seriousness too
The Actress actually made a big deal about this too, who plays Haolan and Yingluo in both series. She says she regrets playing Yingluo, because now everyone refers to her as such. She wants to be known for all of her amazing acting in other tv series, and dramas. Not just Yanxi Palace.

Me, too. Yanxi Palace followed next and still one of my favorites. Most are ok but Nothing Gold Can Stay is great and newly, Fortune Writer is great given it's low budget!
Yesss, I felt that they made the wrong choice in having married the 2nd male lead. Her chemistry was better with the 1st male lead who played the emperor on Yanxi palace.
Drama is Legend of Haolan If you liked yanxi palace for the beautiful scenery, dramatic moments, and flashy scenes. You will probably like this drama. If you enjoy good pacing, nice story telling, and good dialogue. This drama is a nightmare. It's one clipable scene after another, the plot makes no sense, you are given cero background for the way the world works, and here the protagonist goes from gentle and elegant, to crafty and petty every episode. It's quite evident that i hated this drama, for all the reasons listed above, but im sure a lot of people will like it. If you feel like watching it, watch the first 10 episodes. Because the whole series is like that. Just men falling in love with her, her almost dying, being rescued or saved by some weird out of nowhere reason, and women who are jealous and/or absolutely crazy.
La historia del Palacio Yanxi fue una obra de arte totalmente recomendable... muy bonita historia.... ahora ellos haciendo otra obra con los mismos talentos pero de otro personaje.... veré de que se trata....
@@laurajimenez7534 a mi también me habia gustado muchísimo el drama del palacio de yanxi, detesté la leyenda de haolan que tiene el mismo lead y varios otros actores en común. Hace poco también salió otra más decente, mejor que haolan, peor que yanxi, su título es algo asi como heavenly feast(no estoy segura de esto). Pero en esa serie los protagonistas son la actriz de yingluo y el actor de fuheng. Si te gustan los dramas de comida y de época esta bueno, como una versión ligeramente inferior a "una joya en el palacio"(clásico drama coreano)

Everyone knows yanxi palace yingluo, she got famous because of the series but she didn't like to call her yingluo that's weird... when actress is famous for a particular char she should be happy but she regrets... now I really don't like her 🙄🙄🙄
