Back in 2007 when we began transitioning to the Hebraic way, this was the Torah portion I heard that still stands out!! The way Monte described the Voice of Yah when He gave the Commandments sent chills through me and tears to my eyes. I’ve told many about this Torah portion as only Monte has ever described it, and once again it brought tears to my eyes and sent chills of wonder at the power of our great Elohim!!! Thank you so much Monte. You truly have the gift of bringing the Torah and thematic connections like no other. Praise Yah … HalleluYah!!❤❤

Love starting my sabbath with you Monty. I find it interesting that God tells us how many will be saved by keeping his commandments. It goes hand in hand with what Yeshua said in Matthew 7 about FEW FEW FEW would find their way to heaven. With 2.9 BILLION people “claiming” Christianity, God says THOUSANDS would be saved by keeping his commandments. Less than a million would be a few.

Shalom, Jethro is so very intetesting. From the age of 40 to 80, Moses works for his father-in-law, who just happens to be the high priest of Midian. Midian is of Avraham, see Genesis 25. Moses was ignorant of much of his heritage when forced to flee. His spiritual training began under the tutelage and encouragement of Jethro. Baruch HaShem! Be well and be Blessed, A fellow sojourner

I have lots of questions being southern Baptist. Trying to understand and implement Shabbat. I do read the Bible through every year so I am familiar with the Torah. I haven’t connected to a local Hebraic community so trying to do this on my own is confusing. I currently have the flu and don’t feel like celebrating anything. I’m just looking for direction on how to transition as I’m in this alone. I have watched several of your teaching videos but still trying to make the move from all I’ve learned in my Sunday worship experience. Thank you Monty for your videos. Shabbat Shalom!

God Makes a distinction between the old and new covenants in so many different places: but the most complete and clear as day scripture is in Heb8 it reads: NASB Heb8:7 For if that first covenant had been FREE OF FAULT, no circumstances would have been sought for a second. 8 For in finding fault with the people, He says, “Behold, days are coming, says the Lord, When I will bring about a new covenant With the house of Israel and the house of Judah, 9 NOT LIKE the covenant which I made with their fathers On the day I took them by the hand To bring them out of the land of Egypt; For they did not continue in My covenant, And I did not care about them, says the Lord. 10 For this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel After those days, declares the Lord: I will put My laws into their minds, And write them on their hearts. And I will be their God, And they shall be My people. 11 And they will not teach, each one his fellow citizen, And each one his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ For they will all know Me, From the least to the greatest of them. 12 For I WILL BE MERCIFUL toward their wrongdoings, And their sins I will no longer remember.” 13 When He said, “A new covenant,” He has made THE FIRST OBSOLETE. But whatever is becoming obsolete and growing old is about to disappear. It is worthy to note: that the 10 commandments is not made obsolete until all things are fulfilled. Which is at the end of the 1000 year reign, when all things are made new. Mat5:17-19. The commandments that are written in the heart is the Royal law: You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind, This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.” The law of Moses was the outward appearance of righteousness, but it couldn't deal with the inner heart which was like dead mans bones. (unclean) Yeshua raised the bar addressing the law from the inner spirit. If you even look at her with a lustful heart than you have committed the deed. If you walk in the spirit, then you transcend the law of Moses. Which is why the truth sets you free. Unless your righteousness exceeds that of the Pharisees than you will not enter into the kingdom of Heaven.

Whoever then annuls one of the least of these commandments(Law/Torah), and teaches others to do the same, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever keeps and teaches them(Torah), he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. Interesting concept, that you implied that the first commandment is: “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. Which is not really a command, but a statement, stating Himself as a participant to the covenant. To come to the conclusion, that this sentence implies the command "Believe in me" is a bit of a stretch. If you apply that understanding, then you'll have to apply it every time that sentenced is mentioned, and it is written multiple times. He actually is stating Him self as a participant of the Covenant like a wedding covenant, as the previous chapter Ex19:8 the people already agreed to the Covenant. And so it is a covenant between God and Israel as a covenant of union, if you keep my commandment you'll be a special treasure to me above all people.
