I completely agree with your recommendation. I ended up getting this cube after seeing your prototype review. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this cube. The feeling and stability of this cube was everything that I was looking for that I couldn't have with my SM. However, I'm probably in the minority when it comes to liking this feeling so its hard to recommend this cube to just anybody. But I think for people who really want stability in a puzzle and don't need a ton of corner cutting, this cube is the one.

Yeah I was thinking of getting this cube too, my gts2m seems to be too fast for solving when I'm tired or nervous, and lately I've been turning to my aolong v2 for some spamming bc it's a quite a bit slower and a bit more stable despite no magnets, anythoughts?

Eternal Entity i didn't like it i lock up a lot on this cube due to its lack of corner cutting especially in g perms and e perm it's still my main cuz it's better than my previous one which is the mf3rs.i'm feeling regret now since i live in vietnam and the mgc cost170.000vnd=7.30usd while an mf3rs2m cost150.000vnd i wish i knew that before i got the mgc :((

I have this cube, and it’s now my main, even though I have a GAN 356 Air SM. The SM is slightly faster but in a good way, and has better corner cutting, yet I am always getting consistently better times on the MGC, it feels great, I definitely don’t think it’s for everyone, but for me it’s turned out fantastic. The catches that I got on this cube were more substantial than catches on a cube like the SM, but they happened so rarely unlike in the SM that it didn’t really matter. I highly suggest this cube to those who want a really top tier cube without spending too much money. This cube is more than 3 times cheaper than the SM and other flagships, yet the performance is just below those cubes.

Btw you can hear the magnets in the cyclone boys because they are in holders not glued down. So it makes a tick tick tick sound as the magnets move around

My MGC is by far the most sluggish cube I own. It's really annoying because other people talk about how fast it is, but it actually hurts my hands to turn for a few solves.. guess I gotta lube it with something pretty strong

I found the sticker quality on my MGC to be horrendous, so I restickered it two weeks after getting it. All of the stickers were chipping and peeling badly. Also, one of the edge pieces had it's magnets in backwards, which thankfully was easy to fix. Just something to note if you're an MGC owner. Check your magnet polarity!

I've watched a lot of videos about this cube. But I won't get it because it does not come in stickerless. I'm that one nerd that all my mains come in stickerless lol. But very great video!

I also buy stickerless only, but there is one cube that i use as my main that is stickered. I use the stickere volt sq-1 because thats all they had at a comp i visited.

I'm so glad I bought this cube it was so inexpensive and feels like a premium product. This is what I most love about the cubing community, you don't have to waste a ton of money to have a good product specially if you're starting out or depend on your parent's money

The corner things on the edges gives the turning less substance so it doesn't feel too thick

its well known in the community that you're one of the few that can execute righty and lefty algs at around the same speed, and i think that you should take advantage of it. even though you said you're more comfortable with you left hand, i've seen in many of your videos of you doing a U2 or something from the original righty alg instead of just executing it from there. Otherwise, nice review :D.

for OLLs I use tons of righty algs because they're easy and better than any lefty alternative. for PLL, the only righty mirrored alg I do is J perm because it's a U2 away from my main alg so it's convenient. I've talked about why being both-handed is good for F2L, good for some OLLs, but bad for PLL, because of regrips.

J perm. Just a suggestion and as well as a request. When I wanted to learn something about cubing I usually check for your videos first and then go to other. So the thing is you don’t do much on 2x2’s. It would be great if you do 2x2 little like 3x3’s. Not as much as that but little. Thank you

Followup to this. I got the cube and it's great compared to my outdated Aolong v2. If you are a hobbyist like me and wanted to get a magnetic cube that is similar to your Aolong v2, this is a great find. - Aolong v2 has weight to it. It just feels like a sturdy cube. Has a clacky sound to it. - YJ MGC is a lot lighter, quieter and has more of a scratchy (cheap?) sound. The magnets help make it feel sturdy. Stickers are really bright but I know people like that look. Not a fan.

which 3x3 should I get? I'm deciding between a Gans Air Sm, Valk 3 Power M, Weilong GTS 2 M, Weilong GTS 3 M. I have a very rough turning style and I love cubes that are very smooth but also have a little scratch/bumpy feel to them. I also don't want a cube that needs a lot (or any, if possible, ) set up because I am the worst at setting up cubes. Thank you.

So do you think the primary internals can change the actual feeling of the cube? I don't know how the plastics differ Also, how did you set up your MF3RS2M? Mine is quite bad :(

yeah it makes the inside feel softer. if the lube dries then it gets really slow. I use weight 5 plus another faster lube if necessary, such as martian.

my stickered ones are much older and there might be a batch difference (idk if there is), so I can't say for sure. if I got them at the same time then I could confirm. anyway, my old stickered are definitely slower than my new stickerless valks
