Ylvis had a talkshow in Norway and was scrolling around locals newspaper to see if they can help. I grew up in this area. And they had just build a underwater tunnel. Before it was ferries to get from Kristiansund to Averøy. But they did not afford a info sign. Very nice nature at that place.

I has friends that lived on Averøy and before the tunnel was ready they had to cacht the last ferry in the evening when we were out in Town kristiansund. And it was around 11 in the evening The tunell is Open 24/7. It was in 2011

The subtitles are of course sometimes not a direct translation, due to several factors. However, "Sammen finner vi frem" means "Together, we'll find a way" (which, I guess in this sense should be taken quite literal as they're talking about road signs, although it in Norwegian, just like in English, can be interpreted many other ways)

At the time the song was made, 11 years ago, 1 EUR = 8 NOK. So at the time the video was made, 24000 NOK was equal to about 3000 EUR. Now 1 EUR = 11-12 NOK.

They had an unveiling of the sign with the Mayor of Averøya and people came from far and away to see it (not really, but the locals did) 😅 It's a beautiful place, but the road itself is not even top 10 in my book, unless in a helicopter or shots from a drone. You should definitively come visit the fjords, mountains and cities here 😊

ylvis has a couple bits on their talk show where they (vegard mostly) pretends to speak dutch (he cant) and in one of the videos theres a translator whos supposed to translate the dutch to swedish and obviously cant and its so funny (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-W7Pv0toyWy8.html&pp=ygULeWx2aXMgZHV0Y2g%3D link to it cus its v funny) other instances are him speed dating in holland, interviewing people on the street, and speaking at a convention all in fake dutch to real dutch people
