Or, this whole thing was just a dream the dad had while in coma. About having a loving rich wife instead of that gaslighting manipulative excuse for a wife.
> guy hitting on woman in a creepy and unsolicited fashion > girl rejects him and walks away > Dhar literally just turns towards camera and says "so you see, while that scenario wasn't real, this game is!" ...what....is the marketing angle on this? Play this game so creepy randos will have an "in" to start talking to you? I...is that good? What?
See's the girl play a kids game, tries to flirt with her. From that we were suppose to care about the add lol. Its like making a bank heist video where you tell people to eat their veggies at the end.
@@turtlemusic1509 But....like....then why use _that_ as the set-up for the ad? They could have written ANY scenario if the only thing it has to check is "an event that is not real."
Kind of weird how the mom apparently came home in the middle of the day just to announce to the kids that they weren't getting presents this year then went back to work two minutes later
Also is no one going to mention how the dumb little girl said her bike could’ve been in the box, yet her brother said it was an iPhone, and she literally saw him running away with the fucking box
@@awsomedude23456 And why did the mom have the Amazon packages sent to her house instead of her assistant's if her entire plan hinges on surprising them with said packages? She couldn't have bought them prior to her promotion, because they wouldn't have been able to afford them.
@@blaisetelfer8499 I’m probably wrong or heard something incorrectly but didn’t she try to send them to the assistants house but they kept messing up. Also was she counting on no one catching him? What if they called the cops when she wasn’t around? And it seemed like the mom did all the shopping, did the dad not buy anything?
Alright Dhar Mann, if my kids want to hunt criminals going to their homes, I will let them do it. Independently of their gender. I've learned the lesson
The message doubly doesn’t work since I’m pretty sure the son is at least a teenager, and the girl is like 9, so yea even if she was a boy, u still wouldn’t let him go
I love how the little girls in the last story keep bothering the old man for being depressed because his wife is hospitalized and grieving just like any other person would do. Also, how the hell the wife from the 1st story thought it was a good idea to send out her "coworker" to steal her family's gifts from the front door and risk him being arrested or even dealt with personally by the family?
@@monkshoodpsychosisSure, but they’re being unbelievably inconsiderate. They hear that his wife is dying in the hospital and infer that he doesn’t want to celebrate Christmas because of it, so they’re going around harassing him in Christmas-themed ways because THEY think that he should be celebrating Christmas? If you want to cheer someone up, think about their circumstances and why they’re upset in the first place before trying to do shit for them. You know what would’ve been good? If the kids tried to visit the wife with him, but noo. We can’t have that because the video needs to be themed around some kids getting a Scrooge character to celebrate Christmas by the end. These kids literally made a grown man cry by shoving reminders of his wife and her condition in his face over and over again. The only reason it worked out was because he found a card from his wife telling him to not be sad. But that’s okay because tHeY wErE tRyInG tO cHeEr HiM uP, right?
20:27 When he first walked into frame I forgot about the glitter bomb and thought he was the victim of horrific burns and his entire face was fucked up and scarred.
I’m just starting this video rn and this comment has me so intrigued. Like, it’s pretty self explanatory, but now I can’t wait to see that happen. Lmao
We found a Dhar Mann video where Adam literally can't get past the first two seconds without having to re watch 5 times to try to understand a line delivery. Dhar Mann: You see... you really shouldn't make fun of how someone talks.
@@eldenemerald7962 I don't know if I'm much better than her, I am also very financially irresponsible. Spent my unemployment money from being out of work from covid on a gaming PC which I actually get a lot of use out of, and a PS5 which I still only have like 4 games for.
@@bkebradley There's a difference between spending money on yourself, and spending money on yourself when you're responsible for a child. You were owed a happy childhood and your mom didn't give that to you. Don't feel bad for buying that PC/PS5. As long as it makes you happy, it doesn't matter. Hope your Xmas/New Year was good too! :))
this reminded in my Country they made a show abount money in a family and made a teenager take care of the money. She was crying so fucking much by the end of the show and her mother was really trying not to appear as a spending demon saying shit like "of course i don´t need 5 diferent types of make up" and we can guess that she probably would have bought all that make up if they were not on the show
So they have a porch camera that they're constantly watching for thieves, but for some reason a package is delivered while everyone is home and watching the porch camera and instead of bringing it inside they just continue to watch to see if someone steals it. Something is wrong with this family.
I legit thought the first section was going to be a proper Dhar video about harassing women or something. "I'm Dev, girls I like call me Dev" is a weird chat-up line, then when she ignores that line and just says her name (doesn't ever say the name Dev) he neggs her about her accent and the game she's playing. That's some suspicious behaviour for a stranger to talk to women like that, in my opinion. Hope he turns up in another video and the woman he's harassing is actually rich, and he gets sued by her because, you see, you shouldn't harass rich people as they are able to afford a good lawyer.
Well I sure learned my lesson. Only harass the poor. They deserve it for not making more money so I don't need to feel bad. It's not like they can help me gat a job or anything
I like how the old man goes from Ebenezer Scrooge to the Six Flags guy in 3.6 seconds. I woulda stayed pissed that people wouldn't leave me the fuck alone while my wife is in the hospital. And the caroling would've made me actually homicidal. That shit is enough to ruin a good christmas, let alone a shitfest of an xmas like that.
Subtitles make it easier to spot fibs. He's using super simple language anyway, so it doesn't hurt international accessibility too much. Also the way Dhar Mann just turns around and has always been there is fever-dreamish.
These check the Dhar boxes- Oculus, poor people, convoluted schemes involving parents personal assistants, etc Even PsychoMantis, Tik Tok mom and non racist cop make appearances We also got a bonus ad for a shitty mobile game
So here's my Dhar Mann video idea. Man Commits Several Murders: What happens next is shocking. In the episode, a man brutally murders multiple people and is arrested. After a long trial, he is sentenced to death by electric chair. The video is clever because the electric chair makes the word "shocking" in the title a pun. Dhar Mann would get many views
Every single Dhar Mann character shambles around with the charisma of a reanimated corpse but this old guy is acting for his damn life. He actually has a modicum of acting ability, it's just he's acting like he's performing a pantomime.
What was really happening was the mom was cheating on the husband, and using that apartment as her sex pad and also stealing from the family to try and ruin the husband's self-esteem and ability to provide for the kids, leading inevitably to a divorce which she wants to ensure her freedom from her husband and child-rearing responsibilities.
Yep and the gifts thing was a rouse to get tnem off the trail and to hide it from them She also gave her daughter evil eyes with an evil smile, saying how she would have never guessed her trick to find the thief/assistant
Alternatively She could have said the packages were for work and they were delivered to the house by mistake. Could have said to not touch them and have her assistant come by to pick them up "Hey stuff came in for your mom's job and I'm here to pick them up I'm her assistant, so-and-so. Why are they here? I forgot to change out the address at checkout and realized this upon seeing the shipping email." Like there is no need to do this package snatching thing. Just say they were for work 😐 Also leave that old guy alone They're just harassing him with Christmas shit even though they KNOW WHY he "hates" Christmas, they proceed to bother him lmao
You know, it wasn't good but that last video was a lot more fun to watch than Dhar's usual stuff. Maybe it was because he wasn't using racism or sexism for views for once?
I think my biggest gripe about the first video is how heterochromia LIED to her husband and children multiple times in an elaborate ruse to get them gifts. Remember kids, it's fine to be dishonest with your family as long as there is a grand display of generosity at the end of the road.
If the dad is at home all day because he doesn't have a job, why are they just leaving packages outside? He could easily just answer the door when the postie arrives then bring the package inside. Also, why are the kids not just getting the packages inside? They know they are sitting there, all you have to do is open the front door.
If you're trying to make the point that Mr. Jacobs's store is usually such a happy, warm place and is now dour and uninviting, maybe use a set that can convey either of those things instead of one that looks like where I get my phone fixed at the mall. How did Dhar Mann not think that was important but give high schoolers a five-star restaurant as a hangout in the video about the gay kid running for president?
I love the lack of continuity in these videos except for in some places. Like I feel like I’m meant to assume that that same girl is psychomantis, but that convenience store in the fake outdoor mall seems to have been owned by like seventeen different people and operated by 50 different employees, yet it’s the same exact set and seems to sell the same exact products.
i don´t know if i am that much emotionally unstable rn,but i watched this shit on 2x and cryed the shit out on the last story. And still laughed at Adum stories. Without slowing down.
Can we talk about how in the package thief one, the girl was watching the porch on her I pad and was qble to go to her brother and show the theft while it was happening. Why wouldn't they have just brought the package in instead of staring at it? These people deserve to get their package stolen if they're just leaving it on the porch while everyone is home
For the people in the chat saying "she only got a bike?? $1000 phone/$100 bike" I would strongly suggest you look up how much a good bike costs. $600-$800 easy. The two gifts are pretty even, esp if she also got the girl a helmet, mirrors, etc etc...EDIT: I'm not trying to rag on you at all, I just know because I bought myself a mountain bike for xmas. It was $900.
Yeah, the gamer girl video was way worse. The parents got their son a PS5 (which is like $500 - $1,000), but their daughter got a single Barbie doll (which costs like $30 at max).
I appreciate that after finding out money is to tight this year their parents can't afford Christmas presents, and the father is more concerned with the girl trying to catch a thief because she's a girl and *not* remotely concerned with her plan to risk their expensive electronics when they already have a porch camera.
Do you think dahr found an abandoned mall and bought it, or that he just had a recreation done in a big studio area? theres only like 4-6 actual store areas, theres a weird grass area, and light from outside, but theres no ad posters, or maps, or vending machines. just a bench
Considering people who have made decoy traps have resulted in those boxes getting SHOT, you should never confront a thief like that. Especially at their home.
I'm glad Adam mentioned that white line cause I've seen that and a green one pop up on a lot of RU-vid videos. Thought my tv was fucking up. Notice it a lot with RLM videos
I love how the dad lost his job but they're still buying enough packages for this thief to have a regular porch to rob Edit: actually never mind, commented too early
Of COURSE the whole angel is about misogyny, because Dhar Mann videos are set in this alternate universe where it's still the 1950s but with modern technology.
I like how Adam constantly harps on imaginary audio problems, as if he has the sharpest ears ever, but for some reason he can't hear "Hey, I'm Devin, but the girls I Like call me Dev." He can't hear that, but he'll spend 20 minutes going: "Did she just say tripip?" "Trip" "Tripip" "Trip" "You hear that? Tripip" "Trip" "Tripip" "Trip" "Yeah, she's definitely saying tripip" "Trip" "Tripip"
Of course it was the mom wrapping presents. Dhar Mann us too much of a coward to show the struggles of a single father/mother in such dire straights they betray their morals to give their children a Christmas
Word Farm Adventure: So Dhar, how are you going to market our product to your audience of toddlers? Dhar: Well, I'm going to introduce your product through sexual harassment. And then I'm going to talk about your game while wearing nothing but a hoodie that my nipples are furiously trying to burrow through.
Wait but then why did the assistant steal the fake package, he literally has NO REASON. The mom already has all the gifts she ordered, plus she couldn't have even known about the package.
As someone who can't even get packages sent directly to me because the thievery is so insanely rampant in my building. (For real, I've had things be at the door and be stolen in like 5 minutes...) I WISH one of them would come clean that they were paid to do so to stop me opening Christmas presents. Edit: American malls do sometimes have cars in them as ads. They want you to buy one or you can win them in a lottery or something.
That old man actor got me teary-eyed, not gonna lie. Considering the awful script he was given, and the lines he had to deliver, he did a fantastic job.
