I'm just imagining this family as a Tom and Jerry like series where we're rooting for the older brother to screw over Jigsaw Mom, but never does because he's comically inept
Here’s something Adam made me realize: One could argue that the two kids get their manipulative behavior from the mother-who literally hires an assistant to scam her own son to “teach him a lesson.” Hence, Georgie thinks to steal his mother’s credit card while Sammy-despite being against this-doesn’t snitch on his brother (as a way of playing both sides) When the mother catches the older brother, Sammy nonetheless is rewarded since he never fully supported Georgie. The point is: I heavily doubt Dhar Mann had this in mind when writing the episode, so it’s funny how this interpretation could be AT ALL applied to the video…
@@robtz759 The kid who can't act is going to grow up to be Clay from 13 Reasons Why. And I can totally believe their mom would be perfectly on board with their school staging a fake active shooting to teach kids a lesson.
To be fair, there are parents like that. That's probably the only realistic thing about this video. There are really toxic parents out there who will basically goad their children into making a mistake, so that they can correct them after the fact in the most traumatizing way possible. Basically because some people believe that people should be punished for their mistakes rather than rehabilitated. I specifically remember the case of the parents who let their daughter be lured out by a stranger only for them to surprise her and drag her into a van, putting her through extreme distress and trauma, to teach her that she shouldn't be going out with strangers. That's a perfectly good lesson, but damn it, if you want to teach someone something like that, stop them when you know they're about to commit to the mistake, rather than waiting for when it has the most impact. You are going to mess with their heads.
Boy steals mom’s credit card for Roblox shit: This is Unforgivable!!! Grown man steals mom’s credit card to compete in COD Ghost tournaments: Totally fine 👌
@@MediaGhost_ The case was Ghosts, but the gameplay was Warzone, and the actor's dialogue implied it was Fortnite. Dhar Mann doesn't know how to video games lol
But you see, it was ok then, because he was doing for the prize and to pursue a career in E-Sports. Dhar’s morality stops at “entrepreneurship”. In a way, he’s a great reflection of the mainstream ethos. All is forgiven under the word “entrepreneur”. If the kid here was stealing so he could stream for more hours and make extra bank on Twitch, the video would forgive him too. You “help the poor” by giving them a chance of working You “don’t humiliate service employees” because they are working and one day might end up rising so much in life that you might be working for them. It doesn’t take much for one to *sniff* out the pure ideology underneath his videos - Because it’s basically pre-60’s style old school “protestant work ethic”. The fact that it takes such a twisted form, even in his utterly fantastical scenarios, shows how wicked this worldview is when contrasted with reality, specially contemporary reality.
I like how the only difference here is that the Ghosts guy justified it by saying that there was a chance he could build a career off of it. So stealing from your financially struggling parents is perfectly fine if you can somehow make money off of it afterwards. The Dhar Mann way
fun fact: at 44:21 that 100 dollar bill says "for motion picture purposes" where it normally says "united states of america" I have to constantly look for that at my gas station job because hooligans think they can pull a fast one
@@inefffable i glance over the lower dollar bills too, but its rarer for them to be counterfeited and its not as big of a deal to lose 5 dollars vs 100.
"Sammy is my favorite son" parenting is the best kind of parenting and would totally not create terrible family hatred for one another and would totally not ruin children's psychology and would totally NOT have long term negative effects in the future. Thanks dhar mann, you sure are changing lives.
This is just a story about a kid living under a psychopathic mother and younger brother and has adopted some of their manipulative traits and therefore becomes easy bait for them. Where's the Dad? The Mother murdered him with poisoned spaghetti. “What happens in the dark always comes to light”, she whispers as he clutches his chest in pain because he winked at another girl three years ago.
Also the videos moral also teacher you should be honest and own up to anything you do and dont lie but it also says that if you witness your brother sister or friend doing something your against you say nothing and play both sides and you will get rewarded we say this when Georgie gets punished and sammy gets rewarded even he was just as guilty as him .
Love the lack of consistency of morals in these videos. One guy stealing money from his mom who they admit is having financial trouble is not only okay, but a really good thing.... but this kid taking money from his rich, manipulative mom is EVIL and needs to be punished with an elaborate set up to give him lifelong trauma.
You see, the difference is the victim. Stealing from people _with_ money is wrong, because going by Dhar Mann logic, having money just makes you better.
“What happens in the dark always comes to light.” Then Dhar’s perfectly fine with his fraudulent past (and most likely present tbh since people like him don’t change) being revealed right?
Maybe that is why he would make a video about a grown adult steal from his mom to eventually be succesful, because it would give him a clean slate. His channel is huge, so why should he feel guilty? Just come up with a stupid video to put yourself off of the blame.
I've forgotten american dollar bills in my pockets and thrown them through the wash hundreds of times. The bills have always came out just fine, so if that is a problem I have never experienced that or heard of that.
Yeah I’ve always found dollars in a pocket when pulling them out of the dryer, they will be wrinkled to hell but they are fine. Now receipts disintegrate.
Same tho. I forget money in my pockets all the time and have never had a problem. Just the other day I washed like $200 worth of bills and realized it after the wash and before the dryer, air dried everything and it was fine.
Kinda makes sense. American money is made of cotton and linen, things you are supposed to put through the wash to begin with. Other countries' money is made of polymer.
Every now and then adum does/says something that screams Canadian, such as ‘a kick in the rear end with a /frozen/ boot’ you can tell that’s pure maple syrup speak right there
Did Adam seriously go all these years without knowing you can use the arrow keys to skip 5 seconds forwards/backwards? Wait until he finds out you can use numbers to skip around the video or that you can go frame by frame using , and .
Adum never misses a chance to go on a US rant and it's funny because the chip has been on our cards for a while. I've only had one card without a chip and that was a prepaid card.
Bruh ive been using NFC card reading for like 5 years, chips for at least ten. Does adam uh, come down here to go to just the shadiest restaurants ever?
They started giving out cards now where you don’t even need to swiped or use the chip, you can just put the card in front of the scanner and it will work. The phone does the same thing now too
Okay, I need to rant real quick about this. The USA uses both metric and imperial. In fact, the federal government recognizes the metric system as the preferred system of measurement for trade and commerce. Federal agencies are required to use it in most circumstances, and packaged food will always have both metric and imperial units printed on it, with the metric unit being the larger of the two. In science and most fields of engineering, metric is used routinely. The USA has adopted metric as much as it reasonably can. To go further, we would have to do things like update road signs to be in metric, which would be a massive undertaking that would take extremely long and be very expensive, and it would only make things more confusing for local Americans who are more accustomed to using miles instead of kilometers.
Thank you! Adam doesn't seem to understand what a costly and massive undertaking converting measurements and currency would be in a country with the size, population and diversity of the US. Far easier in a place like Canada where your entire population is less than California and 90% of the population live in only like 10% of your landmass... If the costs dramatically outweigh the benefits (monetary, time and labor, plus the burearucratic red tape of getting all 50 states to adopt them PLUS convince tax payers to fund the changes), it's not going to happen...
@@Wraiths_and_Wreckage there is actually a metric mile too. It’s not as frequently used. It’s 10 kilometres, actually a better measurement than a mile for massive countries like the US. Still agree it’s impractical to change.
That's what I always thought for Fahrenheit and Celsius. As far as weather goes, you can get a lot more nuance with bigger numbers. Like if I asked you to rate a movie from 1 to 5 or 1 to 100, you'd get a much better representation in the latter. The fact that 1 degree Celsius can be such a big difference in weather makes it a lot less useful imo
I actually deleted a comment defending the kid playing the younger brother, because as the video went on, there were parts where I couldn't blame his acting on the writing, but I stand by my assertion that if you're an actor saddled with a terrible script and the direction of freaking Dhar Mann, there's only so much you can really do.
Is Dhar Mann a space alien? I don't understand how he thinks the world works also I like how the mom pulls up to her 2 sweating, panting, destressed and nervous looking kids, and just doesn't react at all.
Even if your child steals your credit card then it seems kind of psychopathic to arrange a whole scheme in order to deliver justice while putting the threat in the air he may be going to jail rather than just taking it back and grounding him EDIT: It looks like Dhar Mann has unwittingly recreated a narcissist parent and golden child/scapegoat system
I'm 34, and I dream about school _a lot._ Usually it's either about me ditching class, or not handing in work to the point where I'm failing. I'm usually an adult, which adds to the shame of not being able to pass classes, and am often in a position of some authority. To be fair, that WAS a lot of my academic career. Solid D student. Also, the schools are never just schools. They're like this hotel/amusement park/mall/school amalgamation. And for some reason, these dreams are usually tinted pale green.
I have similar dreams, where I'm like, unable to comprehend what should be a straightforward lecture, like I've missed something, then try and take notes and seemingly fall even further behind... And I'm almost 30 and have been out of school for like 8 years lol.
Adum thinks this kid is an unrealistic character. He underestimates the power of stupid people. I had a friend who literally did this exact same thing with a laptop.
God I love when parents let their child fall deeper and deeper into their bad actions for no reason other than just to be meaner and make the child feel worse. Literally it wouldn't matter if she stopped it at the beginning or the end he still would have learned a lesson, she was just being a bitch. Also now she has created a rift between her sons because if I was Georgie I would be mad that someone who also hid the truth got rewarded because they hid the truth *reluctantly*
Dharman is an ai developed to make the perfect morale lesson content for stupid babies. It's able to learn what's trendy with the "youngsters" such as gaming and use it in the "content" it produces and creates.
American bills are actually made that way to prevent counterfeiting methods lol. And it’s paper but a special kind of paper to withstand continuous folding and touching even though it can obviously rip easily if you’re trying to rip it
The ending of this fam jam is like the ending of Willy Wonka when Willy Wonka tells Charlie that the whole factory tour was a test to see if he could give him the factory and then he reveals the creepy Slugworth guy was just some guy he hired to help test him.
I grew up in Europe and was a firm believer that the Metric was better, until I moved permanently to the US and out of frustration I looked up what are the benefits of Imperial. Take their base and divide it by 2, 3, 4, and 5. Here's what you get with each system: Metric (base 10): 5, 3.333333[...], 2.5, 2 Imperial (base 12): 6, 4, 3, 2.4 Noticed something? Yes, *for everyday common things* (like in the grocery store/etc) dividing things in Imperial gives you easy round numbers. This is probably why Canada and the UK still use them. Because for certain things, it's better, and for others, it's not. You know, like every other tool in existence. But that's about it though. I still think Metric handles better going up or down a unit, etc, etc, and I still use Celsius even though I live in the US. But base 12 I kinda get it.
Yeah, it's similar to why currencies used to divide by 240 instead of 100 (100 has 9 divisors, 240 has 20). Metric is nicer for math since we use a decimal number system, imperial is nicer for day to day stuff a lot of the time. And I say this as a european
I don't find decimals traumatic, or imperial to be better in any way. Nah, the reason why Canadians sometimes use imperial is we're right next door to the U.S. We are one another's biggest trading partners, and many Americans live in Canada. So our goods are double-labelled, e.g. 355ml and 12 fluid ounces. Also, we're constantly exposed to U.S. culture and information, like recipes with 12 ounces of tomatoes, or building projects with 2" by 4" lumbar. If we weren't, we could just as easily have cans and recipes for 400 ml of tomatoes.
@@floraposteschild4184 I would argue that you not minding dealing with decimals is anecdotal, and not fact. You literally cannot use the result of 10 divided by 3 because you get an infinite decimal. It's not about whether you can or cannot make the division in your head, it's whether the result of that division is useful. And in base 10, it's not, while in base 12, all divisions by 2, 3, 4, and 6 are useful (even 5). That's like 99% of the divisions you will do in your daily activities. Honestly, I think the reason it's not used more is because sub/sup units are just bonkers. Like the smaller units of liquids and how many ounces are in a gallon or pint, oh my god, I don't even want to go there. Same with weights. But base 12 is where it's at man. More things should use it :)
Which is why scientists and everyone who needs measurements to matter still uses the metric system. Everyone that whines about the Imperial is literally just sad they don't get to use it for daily life.
Like I’m willing to agree with Adam on the metric system vs imperial but I am not with him on the others. US dollars are some of the hardest in the world to fake and I’ve never had one fall apart on me no matter how wet or hot it has gotten, I find them in my pockets out of the dryer now and again, they just have trouble getting wrinkled. And the deal with Fahrenheit is that it covers a ton more degrees in between. At 100 C you would literally be dead, Fahrenheit is a more scientific method of temp vs Celsius which is very simplified, it’s not bad and I ain’t gonna shit on Celsius. But it’s more handy if you grow up understanding Fahrenheit and less daunting than learning it when older, letting you better describe/understand different levels of heat.
But for example the Euro is even more difficult to fake. People take saunas at 100°C. You can use decimals with Celcius, -273,15°C for example, so I'm not sure what you mean by °F having more degrees in between. Fahrenheit isn't more scientific either. Celsius is actually used in science and engineering (sometimes alongside Kelvin) and only converted to Fahrenheit if the data is sent to the US and most often not even then.
@@timoyr2954 The problem is tho that Fahrenheit gives you almost double-1.8x-the precision* of Celsius without having to delve INTO decimals, allowing you to better relate to the air temperature just by using degrees. Pretty sure that’s what he meant by there being more “degrees”. We're sensitive to small shifts in temperature, so Fahrenheit allows us to discern between two readings more easily than Celsius ever could with its decimal system. On top of that relating to temperature in decimal form is kinda silly method in general when we already have a easier way to measure temp without even having to use decimals so it makes sense that no one in America wants to use Celsius just to argue what decimal the temp actually is.
@@ItsJustCartier thanks for putting what I meant into a better wording, I was trying to cover a few things without making a totally massive wall of text and you got it 100%. I was an artillery guy and I find similarities between this and degrees (360 in a circle) and mils (6400 ((x1.0186)) in a circle) which allow a greater precision while working with whole numbers and the differences between C and F. I mean I wouldn’t complain if the US switched over to using Kelvin in that case but it would start to get even more crazy XD.
@@timoyr2954 though I’ll give you that outside of using decimals the 0 to 100 Celsius scale on its base makes more sense than 34 degrees being freezing at a glance, but when used outside of things specific to water like trying to judge air temp for how our bodies react the whole degrees tend to cover a much wider swath of temps. But if you don’t care about using decimals to pinpoint exactly where on the scale your temp is I understand you saying it is still a very scientific method of measurement and I won’t argue on the fact that it is widely used and dosent harm the scientific community. I was meaning more for accuracy related to daily usage and laymen, I’ve never heard a European friend tell me it was 30.306 degrees Celsius outside.
Oh yeah, that's definitely prop money. If you freeze frame when she hands Sammy the first $100 bill, you can see "For motion picture purposes" on the back. It's pretty common stuff. When it's filmed properly (from the right angles and with just the right lighting), it can look pretty convincing, but... it's a Dhar Mann video. So you see...
I just appreciate that Adum adds so much to Dhar Mann videos in terms of speculation, observations, laughing at very small moments, going off on tangents, etc. It's perhaps more in depth coverage than these videos deserve and I love it, along with just the genuine fun Adum can have watching them and messing around like this
Your rant about American currency, as a Canadian, is so true, especially how they take your card away from you at restaurants... And then make you do math lol
So her solution to her son stealing $100 from her for Robux was to give her other son an extra $100 plus a PS5? It's even weirder that it's explicitly stated that the $100 was his allowance + plus his birthday money so $100 wasn't even the usual allowance. Completely forgetting all the manipulative crap, what is gained from this? You're now out of a lot more money than you would've been normally
Seeing how she was willing to just let her kid run around buying shit with her card for the sake of eventually teaching him a lesson, I think this family is so filthy rich that a PS5 and 100 extra dollars are pocket change.
plus can't the kid just share the ps5..? Every console my parents have bought has been shared between me and my brother except the ps2 i just got for my birthday cause i moved out.... our wii, ps3 and xbone have all been shared. Also isn't allowance like $5-15 a month usually??? how much does he get in birthday money, i used to get $10-25 depending on my age from family n shit, all that ONTOP of a $700 console for a 13 year old?????????? what kinda tomfoolery
As someone who’s waited tables in the US I always felt suuuuuuuuper weird about taking people’s credit cards away from them and out of their sight. I obviously never did anything wrong but it always made me really uncomfortable.
@@timoyr2954 I think it depends a lot on the restaurant / part of the US you’re in. For me, it was years ago at a smaller family owned place so no I didn’t have anything I could bring to the table. But I think card readers have become, and are continuing to become more common
@@Lookin4aBoxToLive it's very real. Standard practice even at many chain restaurants is that they'll give you the bill at the table sometimes in a little booklet , you give them the card, and they take it away. There are some restaurants where you pay at the counter and some family restaurant chains now have POS tablets at the tables, but I've never had a server scan my card at the table.
“You can’t even have consistency in props?” What are you talking about? They’ve been pretty consistent with the GODDAMN PS5’s in every video! Showing it off like it’s fucking candy.
I like to think that not only do they have PS5s, but every time it shows up in a video they take an axe to it off-camera and roll out a new one for the next video. Or maybe for every Dhar Mann video they have to sacrifice at least one PS5 in exchange for another 2 billion views.
I've been watching Adum react to Dhar Mann videos for quite some time now, that I realized Dhar's videos have the exact same energy as the infamous mexican soap opera La Rosa de Guadalupe. Both tell stories that are supposed to represent lessons but they're done so badly and sometimes get to be extremely bad and dangerous that there comes a point where it seems to be crossing the parody line
this entire video (regarding adums reaction) can be summed up with that simpsons clip where bart triggers skinners vietnam memories and the "wow i got into his head!"
as an american, i use imperial for measuring more simple generic objects, and i use metric to make more precise measurements on complex objects . its not like america ONLY uses imperial, i had to use metric in school, and i use it a lot on other things. Not me. But nightmares are extremely rare for me. And they're usually about minor bullshit. Like my laptop breaking or my dog escaping the backyard and running away. The vast majority of my dreams are like movies where I'm never the main character. But it's not like I'm watching it on a screen. It's like I don't exist, or that I'm just a camera with no emotions or thoughts. Scary concepts occur in the "movie" but I can't actually feel any fear because I don't exist.
I still disagree with the Celsius thing. I don't get why people act like it's good because "Water freezes at 0, boils at 100", not only do I not need to measure water temperatures on a regular basis, but it's just as arbitrary as Fahrenheit when it comes to every other liquid. I think Fahrenheit works better for weather stuff because there are more values to work with that apply to the weather (Fahrenheit can go from 0 to 100 for weather whereas Celsius only goes to 37 on that same scale, idk if that makes perfect sense) The one thing Celsius has over Fahrenheit is the fucking spelling at least. I was literally looking at the word written out while typing and still got it wrong
I agree, you can at least use Fahrenheit for survivable conditions in the real world with a much larger and more precise scale compared to Celsius never even getting close to reaching 100 degrees anywhere on the surface of the planet
"This looks sturdier than real American money" No, that's just what money is like in America now, it might be a prop but that's actually what our money changed to a few years ago
I'd probably punish the little brother, too. Little brother: "But... But, I didn't do anything." Exactly. You're either telling me outright what's going on or you're playing games and not telling me at all.
Lmao everything he said about American money is literally wrong on every point. We've had the chip for almost 7 years pretty much everywhere and I live in a bodunk town with less than 5 thousand people. We've had chip readers in even the tiniest convenient stores no one has noticed or they don't care. American paper currency that's been in circulation for like 35 years, basically all of the paper currency in circulation in America, were designed for situation of being left in the washer, they're not waterPROOF but pretty water resistant and you'd have to leave it in for like multiple cycles of wash before it started shredding up. Oh yeah and no you can't use any credit cards at the ATM, some don't allow you to draw funds and only for purchase. Anyways, I love him for the things he knows a lot about so at least I've got that.
So the lesson in this Dhar Fam Jam is that snitching can get you exclusive benefits from your mom. If only 6ix9ine would've received this treatment for what he did
He didn't even fully snitch he just hinted at the idea that something is going on. So what 6ix9ine should have done is leave clues instead of outright snitching and he would be rewarded with money for just existing.
Fahrenheit is a more convenient scale for measuring ambient temperature for human environments. 0-100 F is pretty damn cold to pretty damn hot. 0-100 C is fairly cold to instant death. No one gives a shit about boiling and freezing water, I wanna know if I should wear a jacket today.
I can't remember the last time a waiter took the card to pay the bill at a restaurant I've been to in America. like, they have card readers that they bring to the table.
I wouldn't even be surprised if dhar mann videos are just generated by an AI, and then dhar mann just writes over them with stupid memes and trends like bruh and PS5
I don’t understand why it bothers Adum so much that US doesn’t use metric or Celsius. He’s like so mad over something that literally doesn’t affect him.
To you three fucking troglodytes, our country does run on metric. The military and our scientists and engineers use metric. Only the general populous uses Imperial. We are the only ones in the fucking world who use it. Its goddamn pathetic. Its measurements are arbitrary. Miscalculations due to needed conversion has caused death.
