Broken? Dropping 20 stories onto concrete and steel will turn a human body into a torn bag of skin bone shards and semisolid red goo that may once have been your insides. Terminal velocity is about 122mph, the biggest threat those zombies would be is spraying the crowd with infected goo like someone stomped on a gogurt tube. Not to mention the even greater pile of bs those zombie piles make, I don't care if every one of those zombies had bones ten times the strength of a normal humans the ones at the bottom would be supporting (assuming it was a human ladder and not a pile, and assuming each zombie was a neat 6ft and wasted slightly to say 160lbs) the Zombie on the bottom is holding up roughly 5386lbs, which is almost holding up a F150 by himself, that pile o zombies would just be a zombie mulcher as the ones below are simply crushed by the weight above, them leaning on the wall or forming a wide base is irrelevant, their bodies simply do not have the durability to hold that much weight, it may be better if they were strapped together or were working in unison (The tallest human pyramid was 43.79ft, which would be less than a 4th of the way up our titanic wall and those attempts used nearly 650 people working in unison)

I'm going to bet it's the same concept of how they got to the top of the wall. Not shown, but the first 100 or so zombies would be a bag of mush at the bottom of the wall, but the others would start landing on that mush pile and come away less and less broken and able to continue. Yes, they show it instantly, but if THAT is the hardest pill for you to swallow with this movie, I want an eighth of your stuff.

@@ModelsandMovies it would require considerably more than a few hundred and its not just pulp they would leave, it would be a sea of shattered bone shards laying in the mush, it never really gets all that much softer it just means that parts of the zombies will strike jagged bones covered by maybe a quarter inch of meat at 122mph rather than just slamming into concrete, so now instead of hit by a bus its hit by a bus with thousands of spikes embeded in it

I love to imagine all of the doctors an nurses in a hospital just getting f****** decimated leaving the patients like, "this is gross" It's almost like they were going for that thing you see in good zombie movies where a subset of the population is immune which may lead to a cure but they still get eaten by zombies which explains why this information isn't widespread The reveal in this movie doesn't really change anything like introducing potential for a cure would, and should have been extremely obvious since the beginning of the Apocalypse to anyone paying attention and a couple of people immune to a virus makes sense that happens in real life, this is f****** ridiculous and contrived.

Also, how did NO ONE notice that the zombies were going over the wall? Wouldn't you kind of want that perimeter monitored at all times? I also remember someone saying you had to shoot them in the head, but recall no head shots (maybe cause it was the theatrical?). The scene where he uses the crowbar, they framed that so you can't see from his elbows to the floor lol. A zombie movie sans gore is kind of pointless to me.

that's a really good point. i have an autoimmune condition. would that stop the zombies? what about mental health issues, like anxiety and depression, which are often caused by chemical imbalance, would the zombies smell that? logically i think it could have to be viral or bacterial, which cancels out cancer, autoimmune conditions, AIDS, mental health issues, or Alzheimer's. but that doesn't fit what they said in the movie which was just that you have to be healthy.

I loved Edge of Tomorrow but the 2nd and 3rd times i watched it i noticed more and more unanswered questions and conflicting parts as mentioned in his review, Friends would ask me questions after the film that made me realize more and more parts where conflicting and/or unexplained. I feel like how much you enjoy a meh or overrated film depends entirely by how much you know going in and how much of your brain is turned on i remember when i saw World War Z in cinemas i saw nothing but cliches, bland characters etc but if i had seen it on another day and not paid as much attention perhaps i would've enjoyed way more but ultimately id Totally forgotten about this film until i these videos on it. Like YMS has said before "you should just enjoy the movie, by ignoring parts of the movie" which i also think enjoyment can be swayed by how much attention you give the film and prior knowledge of directors etc.

The thing I love about Adam is that when he makes a claim he gives context and validates them through sub-arguments. All of which flows to provide grounds to his conclusion; in this case "World War Z is a crappy movie."

When the movie first came out, the book was sold at the store I work at to try and capitalize on its release. I read a couple pages of it on a break for two days and those pages, alone, were *SO* much better and interesting than the movie as a whole. I've since listened to a lot of it from people reading it on RU-vid, but will most likely be buying the book just to support it and, hopefully, the author...who sadly had to watch his work murdered on the big screen...for two hours.

It is quite impressive how they managed to completely miss the point of the book with this film, isn´t it? They could have done so much with the way the book is set up, but they decided to make "Generic Zombie Movie Number 187: This time with running Zombies who don´t attack the terminally ill and Brad Pitt staring as himself". Simply listening to a mere summary of the battle of Yonkers is hundred times more entertaining and memorable than watching this bland piece of work.

Because it would have to be a series not a movie dip shit. A movie can't cover everything.

the book needs to be adapted into a tv series, hell they could get a few hundred spin-offs aswel if they want to milk the franchise.

and even worse, if the virus is so quick, it would not be able to escape a continent, yes, it would probably be able to escape the borders of a country, but only by land, planes would be probably made to fall from the sky or be held in quarantine, and so would ships, if it started in china and things went out of control too quick, all the other continents around asia would be able to jsut block shit up, ground all planes, block up the docks and stuff like that, the real risk (and that is how it works in the book) is if the virus would take 1 - 4 days to turn a host into a zombie, that would make things very complicated

I guess the infected went to the (was it an WC?) toilet shortly after boarding... knocking the assistant right when she knocked... because the knock is obviously noisier than a plane taking off, or people outside... Yeah no, the more you look into it, the less it makes sense how these infected work, really.

@@daerdevvyl4314 It didn't, that scene was fine compared to most. That was a small elevator to the luggage storage. A zombie(or possibly multiple) grabbed onto the landing gear while it was still on the ground and climbed into what is essentially the basement of the plane. They attendant called the lift up at the most inconvenient time while the zombie was standing on it, and you can imagine what happened. Edit: Or at least that was my theory, since the infection speed does vary.

well, I was surprised that the wall did not slope outwards at the top which would have made the climb over way more difficult. And the pyramid of zombies would have collapsed because the foundation zombies would have been smushed by the weight of the pyramid itself.

Just remember if you're in the middle of a protest or a apocalypse pepsi is always the answer.

The issue I had wasn't with the virus. It was with Brad Pitt's absolute certainty towards how long the virus took to infect hosts. Brad Pitt only timed one zombie, so for all he knows, it could take longer dependent on blood type or something. It would be unreasonable for any person to hear about people showing signs of infection after 10 minutes and then not worry about someone's bite after 12 seconds. The virus very well could have mutated, but nobody would have taken that risk. There would have to be some sort of evidence in order for people to act on that assumption.

that and who knows if the zombie that bit her was the 10 second strain or the un-mutated 10 minute strain, since the 10 second strain was in America a long way from Israel.

And also, it's not like all the different viruses in the different hosts evolve at the same rate, so that scene was dumb as shit anyway.

A likely possibility is that the number of times the subject has been inoculated with the virus accelerates the virus' infection rate.

Then you woulda hated Star Wars The Force Awakens. God that movie's plot was dumb. The entire thing relies on the Stormtroopers being utterly incompetent. They can't do even one single thing right in that movie, and there's a scene that puts it in perspective. During the first Millenium Falcon scene, the two Imperial TIE fighter pilots that have been training their WHOLE LIVES get out-flown and out-gunned by a sanitation worker and a scavenger girl in a ship neither of them had seen before in their lives, one which was called "garbage". What?!?

Isn't one of the primary causes of DEAD things decomposing the body being slowly eaten and broken down by bacteria (regardless of scavenger animals)? Hence the rotting smell which is a result of said micro-organisms excrement from consuming them? Literally just restrict the Zombie cause to a Virus in their theory and this sentence at least wouldn't immediately break itself.
